Anyone have a link to a Atari Mega STE in USA for sale? Non on eBay right now. Looking to spend around $400 give or take. Saw one on another Atari forum for $325 recently but that one sold. Saw one on eBay for $450 but that one was pulled off eBay so they must of sold it locally. Anyway, let me know. Tom

Well, over the next couple of months I'm going to do some spring cleaning, as it were. (this will make my better half so happy I may have to tie her down!) I've got doubles of almost everything I have and sometimes in triplicate. Can't see any reason to leave some of this stuff stored away in a closet when someone might be able to get some mileage out of it. On top of that, I'm in my 50's now and I honestly don't have as much time to do what I want to any more (isn't that a sad thing!). Anyway, here is a 4 meg, TOS 2.06, 40 (approx) meg hard drive Mega STe for sale. It's got a few cosmetic blemishes, some slight yellowing, and the floppy drive gives the usual "data on floppy drive a may be damaged" error. I'd always meant to work on this one and bring it all the way back up to par but never got around to it. An Atari mouse, Mega STe keyboard, and power cord are all included. It does not include the SC1224 monitor in the pictures/video. First reasonable offer gets it - PM the offers to me please. Buyer pays S&H. Paypal would be the preferred form of payment. I'd rather sell it to someone here rather than fool with Ebay, if at all possible. Sold "as is". Short, horrible video of it booting up is here:

I have a Mega STE that is working perfectly but has some cosmetic damage to the upper half of the case. I know it's a long shot but If someone someday has a non-functional but cosmetically fine MSTE, or one that has been rackmounted, I'd be interested in the upper half, or even the whole case.

Hi, I got a MegaSTE with some problems: first, it didn't boot at all. When opened, it appears that some liquid dropped on the mother board. I cleaned this and now it boots! But I still have a problem with the internal Hard Disk interface. The HD that came with it is dead (it stops turning after a few seconds), so I tried with other old disks I have but they are not seen by the system (IDCHECK reports nothing). I saw three dip swithes on the interface board, what are they for? Guillaume.
