Currently after an RGB-Modded NES-101 Toploader of reputable quality. Here's what's needed: NESRGB Mod w/ 3-palette switch. Palettes: RGBSource's set that uses NESCAP, HYBRID, and FCEUX (Improved) SNES styled AV multi-out port to use my HD Retrovision cables on. Either this or component out via the optional addon board. Whichever provides the best quality component output to my JVC CRT. Any other necessary component replacements (capacitors, resisters, voltage regulator, etc.). Power-on LED light. Optional: Support for expansion audio from Famicom games or Everdrive. I'm also after an RGB + Deblur modded N64. Can be either Grape Purple (NA) or Midnight Blue (JP), just as long as it can play NA region games. Including a good condition OEM controller of the same color would be a plus. Be sure to include photos of your previous work for reference.

Looking at the Specs, the Colecovision and the NES are not too far off, and the Coleco has a few advantages like Processor speed. So how close are they? There are a lot of games that the MSX has that are quite impressive, and at the same time, they should easily show what the Colecovision is able to do, although I believe the colecovision can scroll and have more polished graphics. It may have been possible if not for Adma and CBK that Colecovision could have pushed the NES away from market dominance and would have had computer, MSX, and NES ports which a lot I can see running real well on Coleco especially arcade conversions. What do you think?

I recently finished a project where I had to gut these from new aftermarket controllers. These function with the Nintendo entertainment system. These would serve as direct replacement in an old worn out NES controller and work great. I have about 19 of them. PM me if you want all or one of them.

Some of the NES related discussions around here as of late reminded me that it sure would be nice to be able to play my favorite NES games again, and those all happen to be Zapper light gun games: Hogan's Alley, Freedom Force, and Mechanized Attack in particular. I parted ways with my old original toaster model NES a few years ago due not wanting to deal with the flakey 72 pin connectors anymore, since even with a new connector in it (and I tried 3 or 4 different ones) I'd still get random game freezes from floor vibrations and such. With that in mind I definitely don't want another original toaster model NES, so was I wondering what my best option for playing NES Zapper games these days might be? Would a composite video modded NES-101 top loader system still work properly with light gun games or is there another potentially better option that the NES aficionados around these parts would recommend in the under $200 price range? Any advice would be appreciated.

Tutorial: NES controller MOD to work on Sega Master System (I was asked to help make this MOD for a fellow Atariage member, so I figured I would post for all to see) Tools Needed: Soldering Iron and Solder Wire Strippers Multimeter 1 NES controller 1 Sega/Atari compatible 9 pin (DB-9) joystick cable 1: Disassemble NES controller by removing all 6 screws. 2: Desolder and remove original cable and controller chip. The controller chip can be a pain, so I used small pointy wire cutters to cut the base of each leg, then I was able to remove the little legs from the board easier. Be careful not to accidentally rip the solder pad off the front, just take your time. 3: Strip each wire on the new 9 pin controller wire. 4: Using a multimeter, verify continuity of each wire, and write down which color goes to which pin. I used a paper clip to stick into each hole of the controller cable. 5: Solder the wires that correctly correspond to each button. For Sega Master System, 7 wires are used and 2 are not. They will be: Up Down Left Right Button 1 Button 2 Ground Note the images in step 2 and 4, I've designated which wire will go to which part on the controller. Your wire colors may be different. In my case, the red and yellow wires were not used. 6: Next I wrap the new cable into the NES controller and make sure the controller will go back together okay and test it. After I verify it works, Then I apply hot glue to make sure the wires will stay in place. 7: Assemble the controller and makes sure all of the buttons work. You are done!

It's Bad but not THAT bad. The Bible related trivia to regain health is a chore though. -
From last month's Akihabra haul: The floppy plugs into the cartridge slot, and doesn't seem to allow passthrough to run the Basic language cart. Is there a way to save or load from disk Basic programs? Perhaps there is a different version of Basic that runs from disk? (I gather there is a tape option, but that can't be the only option.

MEMOIRS OF A NOVELTY ACCOUNT VOL. III, ISSUE II So I guess I will not be writing a Gradius novelization. Oh well. I hope a poem will do for you guys. TO THE UNKNOWN RAIL SHOOTER When threatened thus, consider all that’s made In vague prevention, pining for the sky: They say you’re saving lives with hardened blade, But who could manufacture such a lie? Alight with wings built on the backs of slaves… To say it often makes the meaning die. What else can we accomplish fighting waves, Relentless surf behind to take their place? For fluid forms receive malignant graves – An ending wrought upon themselves in space, Where tribulation keeps in view its tail But never dares to show its solemn face. So presentation henceforth shall prevail. Until they’re dead, just shoot; you’re on a rail.

I'm still narrowing down my collection to the things I really want to own. I just can't help but pick up things in the wild. Everything has a price, but I'm happy to negotiate. I like to trade, so if you have a trade list, or a few pictures of stuff you would like to trade I'd like to look. I do have somethings listed in my signature, but that is just what comes to mind as I'm looking at that page. Like most of us, I don't always know what I want until I see it . I'm always interested in those "How to Win at" books, video game magazines, Codemaster books, and the like from the SNES/Genesis era back. If you would like to see more images, or have questions please don't hesitate to ask. Everything here is tested and working as it should. Images are below the wall of text, more to come as I get to test to confirm everything is working. Next Up: Intellivision. Prices do not include shipping. Colecovision Console: $50.00 (1 controller works great, the other has a iffy fire button, original power supply, no video cable included) Expansion Module 1: $15 Cosmic Avenger: $13 Buck Rogers Planet of Zoom: $5 Zaxxon: $4 Centipede: $7 (no end label) Donkey Kong Jr: $6 Donkey Kong: $6 Venture: $4 War Room: $4 Mr. Do: $6 Time Pilot: $7 Lady Bug: $5 Destructor: $8 Popeye: $6 Sega Saturn Doom: $20 (disk only) WWF Wrestlemania The Arcade Game: $16 (disk only) Alien Trilogy: $15 (disk only) Mortal Kombat II: $17 (disk only) Daytona USA Championship Edition: $13 (disk only) Guardian Heroes NTSC-J: $40 Pocket Fighter NTSC-J: $30 King of Fighters 95 NTSC-J: $10 (missing back art) Space Invaders NTSC-J: $8 After Burner II NTSC-J: $10 Fighting Vipers NTSC-J: $10 Sega Rally Championship 1995 NTSC-J: $15 Japan Super Bass Classic 96 NTSC-J: $5 Virtua Fighter 2 NTSC-J: $7 Find Love NTSC-J: $15 Fighters Megamix NTSC-J: $5 NES Top Gun Second Mission: $4 Skate of Die: $4 The Legend of Zelda Gold Cart: $15 (see image, color fading?) Hi Guys - my father has rheumatoid arthritis and loves to play video games. However his hands are very disfigured and it does not allow him to hold a older-style console joystick comfortably. Especially the one for the Atari 7800, that one even hurts my hands. So I searched around and could not really find any alternative NES-style / SMS-style control pads easily (except for these NES / SNES controller DB9 adapters available in Europe for about $45 each). Some I found don't work with 2 button on the 7800. He loves the the Atari 7800 old school games (he played these with me as a kid) - I searched all over, and found a way to convert one - and I was successful in taking an OEM NES controller and making it work with the Atari 7800 (2 button games) and 2600 (1 button games). It actually makes the 7800 2 button games more enjoyable such as Choplifter. Playing Megamania is more fun too. So now I am building these to order and have made a few available for purchase on eBay if you are interested. Not looking to get rich quick off of this, I just have some parts inventory from my retro-collection and want to start making some room on my shelves. You can see them here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/263557597264 Thanks for looking!

Hi, As the title implies there is rust on my NES motherboard 72-pin connector. Here's a pic: https://imgur.com/uq73MtE Is this an issue? if so how do I treat it? I've already applied oil to it to prevent further rusting. Thanks

I've been collecting a bunch of different Famiclones recently, but this one in the shape of an XBOX might be my current favorite! lol Spoiler alert! It's crap. But really I think I collect them just because they "exist" and not really because they are anything I intend to use on a regular basis. They are just funny to me!

This is an old image and I should probably take it down since my entire collection is much larger than this, and this just looks embarassing-
