On August 11th-13th the third edition of Ironia party took place in Wysoka, Poland. There was also a game competition organised with very interesting entries: 1. Tensor Trzaskowskiego ("Trzaskowski's Tensor") - 175 points Very nice logical game. Our protagonist is a scientist, Mr. Trzaskowski, who visits the caves of Jupiter in search of "mystical X4 Almonds". We have to collect all of them. That "tensor" is a tool which allows us to change the direction of gravity (left/right + FIRE). Code: "mgr inż. Rafał" (Rafał Chabowski) Graphics and level design: "Vidol" (Kamil Walaszek) Music: Makary Brauner You can download the game for example from here.

Hey guys, I just thought I would try to clear something up with you since the people in this forum probably know more than anyone about this subject. There has been some discussion lately within a certain group (I promised them that I would not say who) that are claiming some higher-profile programmer is working on a Resident Evil-type game for the 7800. I'm fully aware of the limitations of the system, but have heard this over and over again. Is it possible? I mean, we have games like Midnight Mutants and such, so maybe a Resident Evil is not too far off? What do you think? Have you heard anything about a project like this? I asked Al, and he hasn't heard about anyone attempting this. It would be cool just because of the title (like Halo 2600, and a well-made game I might add) What do you all think?

I'm a little late at sharing this but I went to the IAAPA 2012 trade show about a week and a half ago and got some hands on time with the newest arcade games that are destined for the market. Popular ones were Namco's Dark Escape 4D (which I only got a couple of minutes on as time was limited and there was always a line; excellent game but super pricey for the arcade op to buy), Pac-Man Smash, Snocross and Wizard of OZ Pinball. Here are more details as I put up on my site (shameless plug!). Pictures: http://arcadeheroes....-floor-batch-1/ http://arcadeheroes....ctures-batch-2/ http://arcadeheroes....ctures-batch-3/ Videos: http://arcadeheroes....-videos-part-1/ http://arcadeheroes....-videos-part-2/ Some of the game are already out there to play (Snocross is at many Dave & Busters locations), others will be out before too long. I would happily get a Wizard of Oz pinball although I don't really have the cash for that right now.
