Here we have one of the hard-to-find Sega Genesis Model 2 VA4 MK-1631 consoles along with everything you need to get gaming immediately! Lightly cleaned and fully tested and works great, except for the reset button, but turning the power on and off achieves the same result. This Genesis console variant is arguably even harder to find than the MK-1451 model distributed by Majesco Sales, as this console was still made and distributed by Sega before Majesco took over, but under the hood it has all of the same components as the MK-1451 that makes it so highly sought after, with its VA4 motherboard, which contains the best audio and video encoders of any Model 2. That's right, if you want the best graphics and sound in your Model 2 Genesis, this is it! This listing comes with the following: - MK-1631 VA4 Model 2 Genesis Console. Good overall condition but has some scuffs here and there. Reset button non-functional. - One OEM Sega 3-button controller - works great. - One OEM Sega MK-1479 power supply (the official power supply that shipped with all Model 2 VA4 models and getting scarce). - One OEM Sega RF AV cable (works great but for best picture quality, a composite AV cable is recommended) - Columns game cartridge only. Tested and pins cleaned. Please see pictures below for exact condition of all items. Asking $60 50 shipped OBO. Currently cross-listed on eBay (asking $10 more there).

Here we have the Sega Genesis that started it all: the Model 1 that launched in 1989 with the checkerboard-style "Altered Beast" Box. This launch system is hard to find in its original box. Everything has been lightly cleaned, fully tested and works! RF and AV tested (the latter with my personal cable - not included); both controller ports tested. Asking $220 shipped OBO. Since it was the original system that shipped in 1989, this console is also of the non-TMSS variety, which of course is highly sought after because the annoying "Produced by or under license from Sega" screen does not appear when starting up games AND it is the only type of Genesis that is 100% compatible with all Genesis titles (some early games WILL NOT work with later Model 1s, Model 2s and Model 3s absent a workaround). This bundle includes everything that originally came with the system on launch day in 1989 except the UHF/VHF matching transformer (obsolete anyway), the Altered Beast game, and paperwork (manuals and any other materials). As such, here is everything you get: - Model 1 Non-TMSS Sega Genesis console - One (1) OEM Sega Genesis 3-button controller (the original with red outlining of the buttons - note that it matches the controller pictured on the box). This controller works BUT the A/B/C and Start buttons need to be pushed deliberately to register. A subtle tap will not get the job done. A very small piece of plastic on the left side of the base of the controller is chipped off - barely noticeable and does not stick out in any way (does not affect use of controller). - One (1) OEM Sega Genesis Model 1 Power Supply (Model 1602). There are some cuts in the cord that do not affect use. - One (1) OEM Sega Auto RF Switch. Works as it should with a clear picture but you can upgrade to an AV cable inexpensively here on eBay (send me a note and I can create a separate listing for you for only $5). There are some cuts in the RF switch cord that do not affect use. - Original styrofoam insert - fully intact (missing top styrofoam insert) - Original box with ALL flaps Will ship FOR FREE via USPS Priority Mail in a carefully packed box. This will be expensive to ship, but don't worry - I've got you covered! Please see pictures for exact condition of all items. I doubt this will last long so shoot me a note to finalize a deal!

Is anyone interested in purchasing a lot of Sega Genesis Model 2 MK-1451 (Majesco) and Model 1 Non-TMSS consoles? I've been meaning to get around to selling them and if someone is interested in several, that would be great. It's been my experience that these are two of the more sought after variants of the Sega Genesis. I have several console-only and also some CIB of both types.
