Usage notes. Usage notes and titles list in this document were compiled from various posts. Super Vectrex Multicart (SVM) Usage Notes: Super Vectrex Multicart title selection functionality as used with the Vectrex Reset button. SVM supports a feature to use the Vectrex front panel "Reset" button in two different ways. A quick press. Or a long (greater than 1 second) press. Using the quick press feature of the Reset button will result in restarting the currently selected ROM title. Using the long press feature of the Reset button will result in returning to the SVM Main Menu allowing for selecting of a different ROM title. Some of the ROMs in the titles list are a multiple game title ROM in themselves. (e.g.: All Good Things.) After selecting the ROM the player will be presented with the title's menu inside the ROM for choosing other individual games inside the ROM. Some of the ROMs below require accessory hardware in order to start and use the title. Such as a Vectrex 3D Imager, Light Pen, or third party spinner controller. All "3D" ROM titles requiring the Vectrex 3D Imager will show a blank display after starting the game without the 3D Imager attached. (e.g.: "3D Crazy Coaster", 3D MineStorm", etc.) This is expected and normal operation for a 3D title. To see game play graphics displayed plug a 3D Imager into Vectrex Controller Port 2. All ROMs requiring the Vectrex Light Pen (LightPen) will provide only limited usage after starting the title without the Light Pen attached. (e.g.: "Art Master", "Mail Plane", etc.) The title will start and the game can be selected. But actions needing the Light Pen will be unavailable. (e.g.: In Mail Plane game play destination selection and package loading cannot be accomplished.) Original era and homebrew ROMs requiring extra RAM on the printed circuit board (PCB) are not supported by the Super Vectrex Multicart. No RAM exists on the SVM PCB. Those titles are not included on the SVM. (e.g.: "Animaction") Extra RAM was not included on the SVM PCB to keep the sale price as low as possible. All titles in the list noted with "(IL)" are a modified version of the title with infinite lives for use by the player. All titles in the list noted with "(Invincibility)" are a modified version of the title where the player cannot be hit and killed. All titles in the list noted with "(Level Select)" are a modified version of the title where the player can choose the starting level. All titles in the list noted with "(Spinner)" are a modified version of the title enabled to use a spinner controller. Usually in controller port 2. All titles in the list noted with "(Button)" are a modified version of the title enabled to use a the controller's buttons to control player movement. All titles in the list noted with "(Joystick)" are a modified version of the title enabled to use a the controller's joystick to control player movement. All titles in the list noted with "(2D)" are a modified version of the title enabled to operate without the use of a Vectrex 3D Imager. All titles in the list noted with "(BCG)" are a ports from BASIC games by Ralf Kornmann based on the original games in the 1973 edition of "101 BASIC Computer Games" by David H. Ahl. All titles in the list noted with "(Speed)" are a modified version of the title incorporating increased speed of one or more game design elements as compared with the original title. (e.g: For Berzerk (Speed) the player, bullets, robots and Evil Otto all move a bit quicker.)
  2. Hey, y'all. As the thread title sez, I'm selling more junk. It's been sitting around here for far too long, and I just can't stand looking @ it any more. Please consider checking it out, and perhaps bidding really high on multiple items. 😃 What's available? 39 items, at present. Super A'can boxed system + all 12 games, for example. (You'll NEVER see "REBEL" again, so if you want it, you'd better damn well bid on it now.) Also a "UMC TV GAME DEVELOPMENT SYSTEM" aka the Super A'can development kit. (That's a pretty hefty piece of useless hardware for sure.) Hrm... and lots of Super Fighter Team games; I was using them to balance out an uneven table (j/k?). Brandon's latest batch of stuffs on eBay - now with more A'can! Have fun browsin'! 🤪
  3. Hey peeps. I'm just looking for a Japanese Super Famicom. It can't be yellowed though. Thanks!
  4. I've heard some good things about the Genesis's racing games library, and with my recent acquisition of my very own console, I was hoping that some of y'all could fill me in on some of the good racing games to try. I've currently got Super Monaco GP, and Hard Drivin' in my collection, I'm just curious as to what else I could add in the future. Sports games are a genre I haven't really dabbled in much, but from what I've heard, the Genesis is basically the go-to console for 90s sports games. Seriously, from what I can tell there were an ungodly amount of sports games released for it. With that said, what do you think the best ones are?

  6. Hi. We @ Super Fighter Team did something unorthodox for us back in 2013: developed + published an Android game [!!]. Originally a commercial affair at 99¢ a pop, we recently released it as a free download. W0w. So what's the game? (Hint: It's mentioned in the subject title you clicked on.) It's Commander Keen in Keen Dreams, adapted from the original for PC (DOS). If you have an Android device and like classic games, mayhaps this is for you. http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keendreams http://www.keendreams.com/ On another forum I took a moment to do a quick write-up on the game's development history, figured I'd copy & paste it here too in case people here also find it interesting. Hope y'all enjoy a little reading... We first agreed to develop the Android version as a favor to the previous IP holder. Super Fighter Team is a classic games firm, meaning we produce new games for classic consoles and computers. Doing mobile stuff -- aside from Super Fighter Block Battle for the Symbian OS that we'd done years before -- wasn't something we were interested in at the time. I didn't even own an Android device back then, I was using a Nokia N9 running MeeGo. When I finally decided to "give in" and produce the Android version, however, I admit I got a bit excited to have us embark on development for a new platform. Not wishing to jump ship on Nokia just yet -- even though just about everyone else in the world had already -- I refused to buy an Android device, instead opting to install the buggy and very unfinished NITdroid port as a dual-boot on my N9, to do my QC testing. (Our programmer had a full-fledged Android device.) And... surprise!! It turned out to be a fun project. We adapted the game from the original DOS source; there's no emulation involved anywhere. (As a purist, I'm not exactly big on emulation). The sound effects were recorded directly from the YM3812 chip of the Ad Lib sound card using special hardware called "adlib digisnap." The reason that some people seem to hear "things that aren't there" when playing the Android version is because the volume of the SFX had to be raised quite a bit. The original volume being fed to the YM3812 chip is very low. The card relies on the user to control the volume via the volume slider on the card or through powered speakers. If you play the original Keen Dreams on a DOS machine, and turn your volume WAAAAY UP, you'll hear those same "things" that some people pointed out. It's all in the original code/data, folks. It just isn't easy to notice. FM sound and music are quirky like that. I'm happy to boast that our version of Keen Dreams, unlike many many MANY apps floating around out there, has absolutely NO ADS, NO IN-APP PURCHASES nor any other GARBAGE that you don't want hindering your gaming enjoyment. We at Super Fighter Team don't believe in all that crap. We're not chislers. We just want to make good, high-quality, fun games and share them with people. The game was recently released for free after my push to make it so. I personally did not wish for it to be a commercial game in the first place, but since we didn't/don't own the IP, we didn't have final say in the matter. The game cost us a good chunk of change to develop and it never turned a profit... but see, we never cared about that. We were just happy to get a license to produce and publish the game. But as has been announced here already, the game is finally FREE now since we were finally able to convince the IP holder to let that happen. So please, visit Google Play or our website and download it to all your devices, share it with friends, enemies, strangers... heh, heh. If, in the future, we end up producing and publishing versions of Keen Dreams for classic machines, those will be physical products and thus we'll charge for them. But Keen Dreams for Android is a digital download. So... go download it with our compliments. Thanks! Keen_Dreams-Android.zip
  7. Hey! We @ Super Fighter Team have begun shipping our latest game: BEGGAR PRINCE. This RPG was our first commercial product back in 2006. Based on popular demand it has returned, this time as a Special 20th Anniversary Edition, to commemorate the game's initial release in Taiwan in 1996. Full details and ordering options can be found on our website... www.beggarprince.com Thanks for your interest!
  8. Hi everybody, for those of you who are not on Facebook Bob and I just wanted to let you all know that we are starting our own, from scratch Atari 5200 Podcast. We want to thank Willie and Arkay for allowing us to have contributed to their podcast. We hope to have our first introductory Episode out by September. We plan to go through all the commercial releases. Anyway that's all for now. Feel free to visit our facebook page.
  9. What happened to the SNES High Score Club? It's not listed with the other high score clubs on the main page. I see that it finished up its first season back in February. Does anyone else, besides myself, have any interest in continuing it? There's loads of great games that would be fun for a points challenge.

  11. Hello! Here is the latest news from Super Fighter Team: CASCADE and MAGIC GIRL are coming to the Genesis / Mega Drive! Is your favorite 16-bit game system shaking in nervous anticipation? Ah, well that must be because we've got two great new games waiting to fill its slot! CASCADE is a dice-based puzzler set in space, where your skill will be judged by wacky aliens. MAGIC GIRL is a vertical shooter that puts you in the role of a young girl fighting to save her entire planet from certain doom. Both games are now available for pre-order for only $40 each, from their respective websites... www.playcascade.com www.magicgirlgame.com CASCADE was originally developed by Epyx, and initially slated for release only in Japan. This never before seen game will amuse you with its quirky aliens that welcome you with silly spoken lines such as, "Oh no, a human!" and "May the dice be with you." It also features a two player mode. MAGIC GIRL was developed by Gamtec in Taiwan. In addition to translating the game into English, we at Super Fighter Team have also fixed a few bugs that plagued the Chinese original.
  12. Hello, all. Long time, no post. I'm Brandon Cobb of Super Fighter Team, whom you may remember from Beggar Prince / Legend of Wukong / Star Odyssey for the Genesis / Mega Drive, and Zaku for the Lynx. How y'all been? I'm here today with news of our two newest free games [!], for Windows... Sango Fighter 2 lets you choose from 16 different generals in China's Eastern Han Dynasty, fighting it out to see who will control the entire country. Originally developed by Panda Entertainment in Taiwan, it is now available in English for the first time, with new features and enhancements. Try it out @ www.sangofighter2.com Super Fighter Special Edition is a new version of our company's namesake, built from the ground up in honor of the game's 20th anniversary. It features a new soundtrack, new attacks for each character, nearly 100 new frames of character animation, and more. Try it out @ www.superfighter.net Thanks for your interest. Have a nice day.
  13. This afternoon I wen for a cruise on my bike. I drove to abandoned gas station and went down the over-grown trail behind it. I didn't get far, I was blocked by a destroyed barbed wire fence. I didn't plan on going that far anyway. A sign on the fence read, "SMILE YOUR ON CAMERA", this didn't bother me much as this fence was decades old, some kids probably just did it just to scare people. But on my way out, something caught my eye. At first it looked like an old phone, but when I saw what it was, my heart broke. I picked it up and left quickly, no one's supposed to be back there. I didn't see anything else, I'll go back later tonight and check.
  14. Hello, all. Just dropping in to let everyone know that Commander Keen in Keen Dreams (classic PC game for MS-DOS) is now available for Android enabled devices, under official license. We adapted the game directly from the original source code, and the sound effects were digitally recorded from the YM3812 chip of the Ad Lib sound card to ensure they were perfectly preserved. The game can be played using the touch screen or a gamepad. Check it out at Google Play... http://play.google.c...=com.keendreams Thanks for your attention. Have a nice day.

This is the wireless controller I had for my Super Nintendo with it's receiver. While I don't have the console anymore (it died. ), I decided to keep the controllers.
