Just wanted to share this "new" platformer that's back on Kickstarter: It did not meet it's goal two years ago but the developer kept plugging away. I have no stake in this other than I'm a backer (and was 2 years ago) and would love to see this get a release. Right now its targeted for PC & Mac but their stretch goals are for Switch, PS4 & Xbox One releases, with the Switch being their first stretch tier. If you like these type of platformers give it a look and keep an eye out for the demo.

Mine is Verdun, it's (probably) the most realistic WW1 shooter out there. Grand Theft Auto 5 is a close second.

Hello I recently saw the My Life in Gaming episode in which they mention that some Japanese FZ-1 have a A/B switch which toggles between 480i and 240p. Today I opened my FZ-1 to change its BIOS. At this opportunity I discovered that all other Japanese FZ-1 have the necessary elements for the 480i / 240p switch on PCB, yet non-populated. Could somebody with a Japanese FZ-1 and switch make a photo of the PCB part on the back of the console, which makes up the switch? thanks =) With kind regards Ben EDIT: I have a somewhat strange PCB though: It's Japanese but lacks IC340 (where people belief the Kanji are saved; I guess mine has them at a different place)

Im looking to trade my current collection for a PsVR or Nintendo Switch I dont really use my Virtual Boy anymore. The Virtual Boy would game with the headset and console stand, the power adaptor, controller and the somewhat rare Virtual Boy Hard Case! (Which goes for 90$ alone on eBay alone!) and All my Virtual Boy games! Everything works I tested it last week. The stands plastic piece broke off when I tried to movie it about a week ago. (See pics) it still works ok. The stand shouldnt be to hard to replace. I taped it temporarily so it can still stand by itself. PS: I want to sincerely thank everyone who messaged me about the PS3 trade. Though the more I thought about it the more I was scared of their reliability. Hense I just bought a stand alone PS2 system. Thanks to everyone again. Though I honestly do want to get rid of my Virtual boy. I dont use it much and its collecting dust 90% of the time. I want it to go to a good home. What Im looking for/asking for: PsVR (with camera of course) Nintendo switch if you dont want it anymore

Switch dock fan cooling is something Nintendo should have included in my opinion. The Switch runs warm in portable mode. The poor design of the Switch dock and the overclocking while docked make it run too hot. Nintendo designed a nice looking dock that scratches unprotected screens and traps heat. The intake airflow is partially restricted and the plastic surrounding the handheld acts as an insulator complete with heat insulating air gaps. The Nintendo Switch ( handheld) has an internal fan just below the top exhaust vent. There are 2 intake vents on the back of the system near the bottom. The best approach to better cooling the Switch while docked would draw hot air out of the top exhaust vent. Unfortunately, how to securely mount such a fan and remain easily removable would be a challenge. My solution was to mount a fan in the hinged door of the dock. It blows air into the intake vent to aid cooling. I have also drilled vent holes in the rear panel after removing it. These vent holes allow the open space between the plastic to ventilate the heat trapped in this area of the dock. Testing so far looks promising. The Switch's internal fan is barely running afterward, and the speed increases only after the dock cooling fan is unplugged for a while.

This popped up in a thread about physical media for the system, Flojomojo (thanks) pointed out some generous soul over at the NintendoLife forums has constructed and plans to maintain a list of released and to be released known physical releases for the system. This is that link: http://www.nintendolife.com/forums/nintendo-switch/switch_physical_boxed_games_list_and_release_dates Currently there are these: Legend of Zelda: BOTW (Nintendo) 1 2 Switch (Nintendo) Skylanders Imaginators (Activision) Just Dance 2017 (Ubisoft) Super Bomberman R (Konami) Binding of Isaac: Rebirth + (standard and limited, 2nd print) (Nicalis) Has-Been Heroes (Gamestop Exclusive) (Gametrust) Lego City Undercover (Standard & Toys R Us exclusive) (Warner Bros.) Puyo Puyo Tetris (standard & Target exclusive) (Sega) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo) Disgaea 5 Complete (standard & limited) (NIS America) Ultra Street Fighter II The Final Challengers (Capcom) Cars 3: Driven to Win (Warner Bros.) Arms (Nintendo) Cave Story + (Standard & Gamestop exclusive bundle) (Nicalis) Minecraft: Story Mode (Telltale Games) Splatoon 2 (Nintendo) Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star (Marvelous) Troll & I (Maximum Games) Soldam: Drop, Connect, Erase (Dispatch Games) There are more to come, but still for 5 months on the market after the uncertainty of the disastrous WiiU that ran off a lot of makers entirely. The future list is pretty strong with between 40-50 more known so far and nice given the turn around of run off old school developers and more making stuff on it now, and hopefully the wii-like boom of hardware and software sales continues to bring more games back home to owners of Nintendo systems.

I still bring my 3DS along quite a bit. Great, full e-shop on there. It does amaze me how primitive Mario Kart 7 seemed after playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the go...haha. I can see using both for a good long while but I will say my 3DS has been staying home more and has been fully off and on a shelf for longer than ever since I bought it since the switch came out. I used to walk around all day at work with my 3DS on hoping to get street pass tags, one of the cooler social features of that system I think. What about you?

There are some rumors milling (could like some articles, but they are all pretty similar) that Sony is working on a handheld "switch killer." Anyone think they are actually working on something like this, or are these completely unfounded internet rumors? Discuss..

So... Nintendo can put the Switch into a really good position if they can accomplish the following things: Get favorable publicity Create a popular online service Attract third party developers From the looks of things, they've done quite well at #1. #3 will likely follow from #1 and #2. So right now, Nintendo is prepping their online service for launch in the fall. How optimistic are you that Nintendo will make a worthwhile experience?

I guess the thirst for a Switch must be real - even though there wasn't a Switch in here!

Ikenie to Yuki no Setsuna (Japan Version) http://www.yesasia.com/us/1057682542-0-0-0-en/info.html $43.99 and the shop does free shipping worldwide if your price is $39USD or higher, so that's free. If you figure the digital rental from the non-Japanese e-Shop costs $40 + local taxes you're breaking even with a REAL GAME. I ordered it earlier ago, they claim their average ship time is like 2 weeks so that'll be nice.

Its no longer a secret that the Switch uses flat cards that somewhat resemble vita game cards in size. My question is why did Nintendo go ahead with this route for their Newest console? What exactly was wrong with the Nintendo optical discs used by the Wii and Wii-U? What happened!?

Article: Here's step by step directions on how to transfer or copy a Mii from your Wii U to the Nintendo Switch. This will allow you to use a pre-made Mii for you Nintendo Switch user icon. What you'll need: Wii U Nintendo Switch amiibo of your choice ON THE WII UTurn on your Wii U, login to the user's profile that has the Mii you want to transfer, and go to System Settings. Go to amiibo Settings, then hit Register Owner and Nickname. Touch the amiibo to the GamePad as directed. Change the Owner if needed then hit save. Touch the amiibo to the GamePad again to register the owner. ON THE NINTENDO SWITCHHop over to your Nintendo Switch and load up the System Settings. Scroll down to User then select Add New user. Once you're given the prompt to choose an icon scroll to the Mii tile and click hit. Choose Create New Mii, then select Copy Mii from amiibo. Grab the amiibo you used before and touch it to the NFC touchpoint on the right Joy-Con. Your amiibo should be successfully copied. After it's transferred from the amiibo you can customize the Mii's pose, expression, and completely edit the original Mii. Original Article: http://www.ign.com/wikis/nintendo-switch/How_to_Copy_a_Mii_from_the_Wii_U_to_Nintendo_Switch This was helpful as I wasn't sure how to do this. Not sure what they are doing with the Mii's in the Switchverse, but I've had mine for 10 years now and needless to say i'm a little attached to it.
