  3. This is just an interest check. I have the following modified Atari 7800 system and 16 games. What would they be worth as one lot? Would anyone want to buy these as a lot? If so, how much would one be willing to pay for the following as a bundle? Suggestions? Comments? Asteroids Ballblazer Barnyard Blaster Centipede Dig Dug Donkey Kong Jr. F-18 Hornet Galaga Jinks Joust Karateka Meltdown Ms. Pac-man Robotron 2084 Tower Toppler Xevious I had this system modded for s-video and composite stereo audio. I have the 7800 gamepad. I have the joystick as well.
  4. Trying to find a good deal on a 2600 set-up for my buddy. Should be the easiest job in the world for you guys... lol I think I have some spare controllers (maybe), but mainly just need a perfectly working system. Don't care what model. Lemme know what you got. Thanks, Peace
  5. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 281903522386 I hope I posted that link correctly! I am selling an old Heath Zenith Microcomputer Learning System *gasps for air* Model 3400A. It's quite the long name. Thought I would drop by to show you guys! Last time I posted about my TRS-80 Model 1 and people seemed to like that. This isn't as retro, but still pretty retro! This one is in pretty excellent condition despite it's backstory (see ebay) Thanks guys! Same name on Ebay as on AtariAge [digitalXfacter]
  6. Hello, recently got a Vectrex I bought working great, now I have one thing left on my lift of Vectrex items, A Multi-Cart for games. I know there are multiple carts out there that have all the official games on them (Some even have prototypes and homebrews) But it seems the only ones I've been able to turn up aren't sold anymore. Does anyone know of a good Multi-Cart that's currently being sold? Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Nick
  7. Anybody have any tabletop kiosks preferably for a handheld game system for a reasonable price including shipping, us only
  8. Up for sale a boxed Bentley pong system that came out in 1983- eBay Auction -- Item Number: 321483119121
  9. Hello, I'm looking to expand my system collection, and would love to add an Atari 5200, Jaguar, Turborgrafx, and Colecovision! A 2600 Vader and 2600 Jr. would be nice too. I would prefer that they come complete with the power supply, RF cable, and at least 1 controller. However, if all you have is the system, I might still be interested if the price is right! Please let me know if you have any of these available. Thanks!!!
  10. I got Pitfall and Star Wars Arcade for the Coleco, Burgertime and Triple action for the Intellivision, "Raiders Lost Ark" Rare label variation for the 2600. I also got Zelda: A Link to the Past DX and Dragon Warrior 3 for the GBC which I could be talked into parting with. All games are loose and in acceptable to like new condition. Will post pictures if need be. I'm looking to trade for one or more Sega Master System games. Im particularly interested in getting my hands on a Sega card copy of Ghost House,Rastan, any of the Alex Kidd games,Space Harrier, Golvellius, and Master of Darkness but I've only just started collecting for the SMS so I'm open to pretty much anything except sports games. Loose games welcome. I would also consider buying if the price is right.
  11. Well, this little beauty (link) hit dx.com today, and I found myself unable to take my wallet out fast enough for my liking. The Hamy has 76 built in games, seems to take famicom carts, A/V out, and costs $24 shipped--what's not to like? This is perfect for playing all those clone carts I picked up and had to play via adapter in my fc-mobile ii (since they won't play right on real nes hardware, only clones). I've also got more than a few legit FC carts around. I just thought I'd drop a quick topic here in case anybody else is so inclined to take a $24 gamble. Will also post some quick impressions when it arrives (in like a month). edit: looks like there is also another version of hamy--that example is a defective unit on ebay, and on top of it, it looks a lot worse to play. (not to mention costing more)
  12. So, I got this SMS 2, but it's barely working. My TV can't pick up the signal, and I am way too stupid to try and repair that thing. So I am looking into getting a Power Base Converter for my Mega Drive model 1 - which is always hooked up to the TV anyway. That way, I can also keep the number of consoles crowding my TV rack in reasonable limits. Does anyone have a spare and wants to part with it for a reasonable price? German eBay sellers - or all European eBay sellers, in fact - seem to get really nasty once they have such a thing. Also, what is this thing here? Does it work just as well? http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.de%2Fitm%2FSEGA-Master-System-MEGA-DRIVE-Genesis-Power-Base-Converter-Adapter-NEU-NEW-%2F300916543780%3Fpt%3DDE_Kabel_Adapter%26hash%3Ditem4610061124
  13. In the Mickey Rourke movie The Wrestler, Robin invites some kid into his house to play Nintendo. They appear to be playing a game called Wrestle Jam, in which The Ram is a playable character. Is this a real game, specifically programmed for the movie? If so, where can I play it?
  14. I have a couple assembled NES Super 8 systems ready to use including the rare RGB PPU chip. The NES Super 8 is a Nintendo clone that uses the origingal CPU / PPU. One is blue, the other is white. They have the version 1.1 PCB inside. Tested and working great. Asking $399 which includes the power adapter and shipping. I also have RGB NS8 v1.1 assembled PCBs for $95 CPU / PPU not included bare PCBs are $25 For more information: http://atariage.com/...ct/page__st__75 PM me if interested! Thanks!

  16. I don't know what that sticky stuff is but it is my job to clean it out anyway. Answer to question 12 of 100 12. What is it like working with your husband on his business? Do you enjoy doing this work? Is it a good way to be in close contact with someone you love? Describe a day in the life working to ship his items. I think I am going to approach this question in reverse. First of all what do I do? On the surface, I place the media items that my husband sells into envelopes or boxes tape them up and add labels. There is a lot more that goes on behind the scenes, however. We get the media items in used and abused condition, which means they have to be cleaned, tested and refurbished in order for us to truthfully sell them. Now to someone that has never done anything like this before it might sound easy, but let me tell you it can be challenging. For one thing, some people do not use their items for their intended use. For example, I have cleaned game systems that have been used for the following: bug motels for ants, spiders, or roaches; cup holders for all kinds of liquids; paint or fingernail polish splatter cloths; ash or smoke trays; stash holders; litter boxes; sticker books; art canvas; candle holder; you name it and I have probably cleaned it off of a system, controller, or game. Even as I write this, I just opened up a Super Nintendo System that is so yucky you cannot even identify what is in it by the slimy remains. We buff CD-based items, clean the contacts on cartridges, iron wrinkled manuals, and clean controllers with poor response until they work like new. We believe it is a labor of love to breath life back into used and abused items. When everything is cleaned and tested, my husband artfully displays them for sale. When an item sells, I get a list, which I pull for that day of packing, I double-check the items to make sure they are ready to go, and then I pack them appropriately. This brings me to my next point: the art of packing. I have to admit when my husband and I first started this business we made all the classic rookie mistakes, like using too much tape, adding newspaper as padding, packing boxed items in envelopes or just wrapping them in paper or newspaper, and packing items in used food boxes. As we matured as a business, we have learned that the post office does not care about your package. It is just an item that must be moved from one point to another regardless of its contents. You cannot expect them to handle it better just because you write “fragile” on it. You are lucky if they read the address correctly, let alone anything you write on the package. It just is not in their unionized job description. Therefore, this means you must pack each item as if it has to survive a natural disaster on its way to its destination. This does not mean you have to spend a fortune on peanuts and bubble wrap; the free supplies provided by the post office are adequate to get the job done. This knowledge comes from the experience of packing over 100,000 items over 12 years. Are you still with me? Good! Now this job is not for everyone. It requires long hours, dedication and knowledge of the product. So, what are the positive and negative aspects of this job? For the most part, they are one and the same; it all depends on how you look at it. 1.Positive a. You get to set your own hours. There are days when we get up at noon. b. There is no one telling you to get to work; you can work whenever you want to. c. There is a sense of pride gained in bringing dead items back to life and then sending them to new homes all over the world. d. You get to spend many hours with someone you love instead of only seeing them at bedtime. e. There are times when we watch netflix, or listen to music or audio books while we are working. f. Media surrounds us; my husband has estimated that if he started today and played one game every day for the next twenty years, he would not have to repeat. That is just pulling from our own personal collection and not including the extra inventory. g. We work as a machine every part essential to operate. 2.Negative a. Most of the time we get up at noon because we didn’t get to bed until five AM to get that last package packed for the morning pickup. To make our bills we work almost everyday from the time we get up until the time we fall into bed. b. You have to answer to customers who want to know where their product is, and they can be more brutal than the worst boss. c. It is a lot of hard dirt, work, and long hours to make abused things like new again. d. Spending every minute together can be stressful, especially when mistakes are made, because there is nowhere to escape until the situation is resolved. e. Working in the same room means you have to listen to the same music, sometimes on repeat to avoid having to stop working to change it. f. There is inventory in every room in the house. Yes, there is even product in the bathroom. g. All parts must be present if one of the gears are missing or broken the machine brakes down. This means that there is little time to pursue other interests like my writing or music for my husband. So what do I have to say in conclusion to those of you who have been brave or stupid enough to read all of this rambling? First, you paid money for your items, try treating them like it. Secondly, although many have tried, this job is not for everyone and even though we are not always the lowest price out there, you can buy with confidence knowing we have put our all into making everything we sell the best it can be so you can enjoy it for generations to come.
  17. Hi, I'm looking to complete my boxed model 1 genesis collection is the last one I need. I see them on eBay from time to time but I figured I would try here first. So if you don't know what the fighting system is, its the bundle that came with Streets of Rage 2. The box is orangeish in some places. Here is a picture of what it looks like http://www.rfgeneration.com/images/hardware/U-040/bf/U-040-H-00012-A.jpg If anybody has one for sale, please message me and hopefully we can work out a deal. thanks!
  18. At the flea market I probably hit he best possible place. I didn't find anything rare or something like that but I did find some amazing deals. So here's the story: I wanted to burn a hole in my pocket that day so I looked up all the local flea market or swap meet or whatever you call it. The closest one that I haven't been to yet was this small one that was actually 2 hours from where I live, but had a great website, so then I packed some water and started driving away to this place. Once I got there it was actually double the size of what had been described on the webpage. Although its size I did't find one game until I came to one stand. It was a two brothers(I think) who were renting a double booth and selling old and new records. At the corner of my eye on their stand I saw a Colorsport 8 (pong clone) complete in a 70s like box. It screamed 70s more than anything else! The box was in PRISTINE condition. The two guys knew what it was and we talked over it alot and one of them told me that he had owned a game store but wasn't interested in that stuff anymore. He knew prices but never gave a price over the fair line. When I finally asked him where he would land the price on that console he said $10 .I screamed inside my head. Bought it in a heartbeat but I also asked if he had anything else then he took out from under part of the table a HUGE chest. The chest was covered in controllers of all types games for the nes, snes, VCS you name it. I bought almost everything for about $20. AWESOME :-o !!! I looked around the other part of his stand and found the jackpot: I saw an Odyssey 2,an intv, and a 5200 all lined up with all of the correct hook ups. He said a dollar a piece. I couldn't control my excitement. Next to all of that he gave me a complete Super Metroid for $5. Since he didnt care much he also gave me some 2600 commons for free . When I went back to my man cave I found that not one thing he sold to me was non-working. A couple weeks later I bout a gamecube ps1 cib dreamcast and a sega saturn 5 each and all also worked. I completely cleaned the guy out. so happy :) :-D ;-)
  19. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rare-Vectrex-Video-Arcade-Game-System-1980-GCE-Working-/380410778347?pt=Video_Games&hash=item58923fd2eb THATS CRAZY!!!! A vectrex for $800!! its just a regualar vectrex with a star trek cartridge! There is nothing special about this vectrex I think this is even in worse condition than mine! How misinformed this person is! Who would post this at that price?
  20. We need a Vectrex Sub Topic in Classic Gaming General! Why? Well, I think there are enough threads on the vectrex or have something to do with it that we should have a designated sub topic. There are enough fans of the vectrex on atariage that it deserves one ;)
