  1. Hi! I'm looking for some hard to get Xbox 360 and Xbox One games but I don't really know what to look for. To be specific, I'm looking for the regular edition of some games and not special editions. Although most special editions tend to go up in price quickly, they are extremely expensive where I live. I think the only hard to get game I have in my collection is a sealed copy of Pro Evolution Soccer 2018 for the 360 which costs around $40, but I paid around $10. I haven't opened it yet, but I might play it in the future. Also, I saw a copy of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 for the Xbox One, but I didn't buy it because I'm an idiot. That game costs around $45 because there aren't that many copies around and the digital edition has been de-listed for licensing issues. So any other games I should be on the lookout for? Thanks in advance!

  6. The original Xbox may not have beat the PS2 back in the day in sales, but it was home to a bunch of great games & hidden gems. Games shown: Otogi, Xyanide, Star Wars Republic Commando, Stubbs the Zombie, Gunvalkyrie, Arx Fatalis, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Call of Cthulhu, Yager, Jade Empire & honorable mentions at the end. I really like collecting for the original Xbox. Do you? What other games should be in the list?

From the humble beginnings of small white blips on an oscilloscope to the mighty Atari 2600 VCS began a new form of entertainment that would change how people interact with their TVs, computers, phones, and eventually with each other. Come and celebrate a day of very family friendly competition, discussion, buying, selling, trading, and showing off of our beloved hobby on August 9th during the 11th annual OVGE! The new facility offers space for many new ideas and including the largest free play arcade the OVGE has seen yet! 9. As I realize I have less and less space to house stuff i'm really keeping the best titles and moving more towards SD carts. I also may have to slim down a few systems but may want to play those games still and explore other retro systems I probably won't find in the wild. I have more or less narrowed down my choices to the original Xbox and Wii to use as an emulator box; and I was wondering which you all thought would be better to use as an emulation machine. Here is my reasoning for avoiding other options: -PC/Raspberry Pi: Probably better I realize but I want to use a console for convenience and aesthetics. -Gamecube/PS2-Could be done but seems to make more sense to do an xbox or a wii for various reasons -Dreamcast- Underpowered for emulation purposes of later systems -Xbox360/PS3- Have a PS3 fatty but don't want to void warranty/updates, online features, etc. just yet. I am at this time leaning towards the Xbox because of the MAME capabilities and the fact that the internal hard-drive can be upgraded whereas using a Wii i'd have to burn discs or have an external hard drive connected via a USB (the speed worries me for that option.) I know you can do the home brew channel on the Wii mode on your Wii U, but assume you couldn't access the external hard drive formatted for the Wii U via that channel, creating its own issues. Can anyone speak to that and/or if you are able to partition it? Let me know what you think and if I missed any consoles/options I should be considering! I definitely want to use a CONSOLE though. Thanks!
  10. Hello!! I have a minor issue with my Mameox emulator on my modded xbox. I originally had it soft modded last year then it was corrupted. Then I had it hard modded by a friend of mine. All of the emulators work flawlessly except for the mameox. I have a burned DVD-R disc with all the mame roms which is roughly 3,500 games/roms from when it was soft modded. But when it was hard modded. As I put in the DVD-R disc to play the mame games. When I select a game It will say "Loading Please Wait...." But the rom doesn't load and boot the game. And when I play a game from mameox on the hard drive. The funny thing is the games are mis-alphabetized. And a portion of the roms won't boot up. I don't know If the files were transferring to the emulator on the softmod and the disc was thinking. The emulator is Mameoxtras v1.13. If there is anyone that can be able to burn a disc with all the roms that can be able to be played I will gladly pay for all the trouble. I don't have a desktop/notebook computer to do this. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks! :-)

  15. So Perfect Dark is finally being re-released in March. The game will have all the features of the original N64 release plus updated, HD graphics; online capabilities; GoldenEye weapons available in multi-player; possible DLC in the future; and it now runs at a nice 60fps. I can live with this. Especially with a price of $10.
  16. Hi, I have AtariXLBox (V3) installed on my on my modded original xbox. It plays 5200 games just great. How do I also play 800/800xl games? I need to know what goes in what directories if that is all that is required. Do I need the OS rom images and the basic images? What file format can the 800/XL game roms be in ? .zip, atr , xex ?? all the 5200 roms are in zip. Any help is greatly appreciated Thanks!
  17. My questions are simple really. I have a chance to get a Kinect for the 360 and I was wondering if that particular piece of hardware is worth it or not. I remember years ago going to a friend's house and playing a bunch of minigames, but I didn't spend enough time playing to make a purchase decision. Also, how much would you pay for it? I don't want to spend too much money on a thing I don't see myself playing all the time. I know some games are cool, like Kinect Sports or Dance Central, but other than that nothing comes to mind. Are some of the "better with Kinect" labeled games any good, like Skyrim or Forza? Or is it just a dumb gimmick? I did some research online, but there are barely any video reviews out there. Finally, can you control the console using voice to turn on/off, launch games and apps and other things? I assume you can, but I don't know if it's responsive or just old tech that sometimes works and it's kind of cool but that's it. Thanks in advance!
  18. I have a 7800 with a small collection of games, but I've been looking at getting some compilations for my Xbox 360 like Atari Anthology and Midway Arcade Treasures. Since its not feasible to actually get all of those physical arcades, which would you prefer? Playing the true arcade versions on a 360 or Playstation with those controllers, or sticking to the ports for the 7800, but you can use the joystick, paddles, or trak ball? I think the graphics and sound of the arcade versions are what make the compilations attractive, but there's just something better about using the Atari controllers. Unless there's a way to use Atari controllers on an Xbox lol Thoughts?
  19. *SOLD!!!!* Hi all, Trying to re-organize my game room, and I have no space left. At all. So it's time to start moving some stuff along that doesn't get as much use as they deserve. $250 $200 - Xbox One X 1TB, 2 wireless controllers, controller charge station, complete in box, great condition - has only had a few hours of play time in the few months i've had it. Based in the USA. Paypal friends/family/gift whatever it is. Buyer pays shipping. I'll be home in about 6 hours so I can post pics at that time. I'll be posting more stuff as I try to make room in my little game room, unless I kick the missus out and take over the entire house. SOLD - $200 - Amiga 600, includes Furia EC020 - no mouse, no PSU, no video cable. Bought after receiving a recap from the UK. More info on the Furia here - https://lotharek.pl/productdetail.php?id=105. I have my 1200 so this one needs to go to a good home. Great condition, no yellowing

  22. I've got a Halo edition Xbox where the hard drive finally conked out on me a little while ago. I'm interested in resurrecting the machine even though it seems likely I'm out of luck on recovering any of my old data, but I'm not sure what the steps are for this scenario, and Google has been kind of confusing. I've got an Xecuter 2.6 chip to install on the board, and a new compatible HDD is on my shopping list - I just don't know what to do from there once I've got the chip and hard drive in place. Ideally I want to be able to boot up the original dashboard along with a homebrew one by pushing different buttons (to maintain some semblance of original hardware), I don't know if there's a process to setting that up with a fresh HDD?
