I'd argue the original DS/DS Lite is bordering on retro/modern gaming at this point, but I figured I might as well group it with the rest of the systems. With the death of the 3DS eShop earlier this year and the Online service on its way out in March of next year, it's been a bit sad to watch one of my favorite portable systems of all time fall away from the support of its original creator. But at the same time, I've still got all of the wonderful memories of me as a young lad happily playing New Super Mario Bros. 2, Mario Kart 7, Monster Jam, and many others inherited from my mom way back when. I don't like to get rid of things, so I've still got most of my original games and even my original DS Lite hand-me-down from my mom to remind me of simpler times.. As a 2000s kid, the DS and 3DS were my entire world. Whenever I had the free time, that was the system I played for hours upon hours on end. So many great games only held back by hardware limitations such as the small screens, low resolutions, and processing power. As a kid, this never bothered me. And on the contrary, the 3DS absolutely blew my mind at the time as I had never seen portable gaming like it before. (Never owned/used a PSP, nor even knew about its existence. But that's a story for another day). I wanted to create this thread to serve as a place to discuss all things Nintendo DS. Including hardware, games, quirks, technical issues, modding, homebrew, sharing memories, and whatever else we can think of. I'd like to think that other people on this site have been similarly impacted by these consoles legacies, or at the very least have some fondness over them.

I'd be willing to buy a large lot. Moreso the handhelds, but I have quite a few PS2 games that are disc only as well so some of those would be welcome. Life Line in particular

Ever since I've had my 3ds, I've wanted to consolize one. I suppose this may be less "needed" now that the Switch exists, but i still want to! I suppose the biggest challenge would be the second (lower screen.) You could maybe rig a Wii U gamepad to work, but there probably just aren't enough of them so maybe a cheap android tablet in conjunction with a controller? Not sure how this would work exactly but sure would be cool. Any thoughts or am I taking crazy pills here? Has anyone done it to your knowledge?

Greetings everyone, Due to some bad luck and a less than serious car accident, I need to raise some money to pay for the insurance deductable. I dont have any prices in mind so feel free to shoot me offers via PM. I'm normally a regular on GameTZ (same name as here) so if you want to look at my feedback you're more than welcome. Also, please let me know if I'm doing this incorrectly. I'll also be updating this as the week goes on so expect more items and better formatting. I wont put prices on all of the games since anyone can use VGPC, but I will update with pictures as I can. I do a lot of field work so I'll update in batches as I can. Thanks! Jaguar Another World CIB - Got this from the second run. Pricing this is hard because I see a wide range, but they seem to start at about $400. Hey there guys and gals. I've been really enjoying my New 3DS XL but I sure wish I could play some of the older games that aren't in the eShop on it. Specifically I'd like to emulate Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Gear, and possibly Game Boy Advance if the New 3DS XL would be up to the task without lag. The problem I've been encountering though is that I can't seem to find much in the way of information on what emulators are available for the 3DS and how to run them off a flash cart without hacking the system in some way. All the popular methods of getting emulation running on the 3DS that I've stumbled across on GBATemp and similar sites seem to require some really complicated system hacking that's above my skill and understanding level to get running, and I sure don't want to risk getting banned from the 3DS eShop and online play by hacking my system. I've bought quite a few games from the eShop and there are a lot more eShop exclusives I'd like to purchase at some point, so I definitely wouldn't want to risk losing my eShop access due to system hacking. So what I was wondering is if there are any flash carts out there for the 3DS that are simple to set up and use and would let me emulate some older systems on my handheld of choice without any system hacking involved? I remember it being really easy to get emulation running off a flash cart on the old DS Lite and DSi so I was wondering if there was any similar option available for the 3DS? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone! Time for another posting of goodies for sale. Some of these are going to be really inexpensive... I plan on having $1 items, $2 items etc as well as some more normal priced items. I'll also have bundled items and of course, if you purchase a bunch of items, I'll try to make a deal. Let me know your thoughts. I want to make a minimum order of say $10 or more. Shipping will be actual postage price.. no handling fees or anything like that. One thing to note is that I am in Canada and shipping is sometimes high. At this point I am adding photos and will start adding the prices when I finish uploading the photos. And of course, without further delay... the items.... MegaMan NES $30 (only as I can get $40 in trade for it) Vic 20 Xonox Manual for Sir Lancelot $5 Metroid 2 promo keychain $5 Club Nintendo Playing Cards $5 Code of Princess 3DS - Game with artbook and CD soundtrack $25 5200 Manuals $1 each or the whole lot for $5 $2 items or $3 for 2 items Ok... that's all for now. If I find anything else, I will be sure to add them but this is it for the time being. See something you like... let me know and we can make it happen. Thanks for reading!

I still bring my 3DS along quite a bit. Great, full e-shop on there. It does amaze me how primitive Mario Kart 7 seemed after playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the go...haha. I can see using both for a good long while but I will say my 3DS has been staying home more and has been fully off and on a shelf for longer than ever since I bought it since the switch came out. I used to walk around all day at work with my 3DS on hoping to get street pass tags, one of the cooler social features of that system I think. What about you?

Article: Here's step by step directions on how to transfer or copy a Mii from your Wii U to the Nintendo Switch. This will allow you to use a pre-made Mii for you Nintendo Switch user icon. What you'll need: Wii U Nintendo Switch amiibo of your choice ON THE WII UTurn on your Wii U, login to the user's profile that has the Mii you want to transfer, and go to System Settings. Go to amiibo Settings, then hit Register Owner and Nickname. Touch the amiibo to the GamePad as directed. Change the Owner if needed then hit save. Touch the amiibo to the GamePad again to register the owner. ON THE NINTENDO SWITCHHop over to your Nintendo Switch and load up the System Settings. Scroll down to User then select Add New user. Once you're given the prompt to choose an icon scroll to the Mii tile and click hit. Choose Create New Mii, then select Copy Mii from amiibo. Grab the amiibo you used before and touch it to the NFC touchpoint on the right Joy-Con. Your amiibo should be successfully copied. After it's transferred from the amiibo you can customize the Mii's pose, expression, and completely edit the original Mii. Original Article: http://www.ign.com/wikis/nintendo-switch/How_to_Copy_a_Mii_from_the_Wii_U_to_Nintendo_Switch This was helpful as I wasn't sure how to do this. Not sure what they are doing with the Mii's in the Switchverse, but I've had mine for 10 years now and needless to say i'm a little attached to it.

In case anyone who in interested isn't tracking... The 3DS, (specifically the New 3DS) has recently gotten ports of Stella, Prosystem, Handy, O2EM, Virtual Jaguar, 4DO, and more via RetroArch/LibRetro. Emulation of these systems run full speed: 2600 7800 Lynx Vectrex Odyssey2 Game & Watch Near full speed: CPS3 Interesting, but not fast enough to be considered playable: 3DO Jaguar These are not yet part of the official build, but can be found in posts by MrHuu in the thread at gbatemp. He plans to make a separate thread at some point, but as of the time of this posting, the builds are posted at page 270 (Stella, Vectrex, & Prosystem), page 273 (Handy, O2EM, VirtualJaguar, & 4DO), page 275 (Game & Watch), and page 279 (CPS3). MrHuu also posted a playlist generator here. Also interesting is that on a New 3DS (not XL), the screen size when set to "integer" is exactly the same as the screen size on a real Lynx.

Game Shown: Heroes of Ruin Azure Striker Gunvolt Pac-Man and Galaga Dimensions Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars James Noir's Hollywood Crimes Pilotwings Resort Frogger 3D CrossWords Plus I would love to know what other "hidden gems" you recommend on the 3DS, both retail releases and perhaps digital eShop games.

Hi, folks: I'm looking for the case only of the game, "The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds". The case I got was one of Gamestop's cases, and since I'm collecting and playing my 2DS, I would like a good copy for my shelf. It doesn't have to be in perfect condition, but without holes, scratches, or writing on it would be appreciated. Please PM me if you have a copy for sale, and many thanks. Happy New Year! Steve
