Since I've seen a number of these topics for other systems I figured I'd start one here. Especially now that I have finally got around to giving the 3DO some focus. It's been something that I've been meaning to do for quite some time, and acquiring an FZ-10 recently along with an XPort ODE has really made this a much easier and optimized experience. I'm sure my long time FZ-1 is glaring at me from the shelf 😄 I've been solely focused on the 3DO for all console related gaming for about a month or so now (okay, excluding the Steam Deck...) and have been playing and enjoying a number of titles including Need for Speed, Road Rash, Super Wing Commander, Quarantine, Burning Soldier, Crash and Burn, American Laser Games (bad hit detection and Gamegun accuracy) and even Corpse Killer (good Gamegun accuracy) I've even braved the utterly infuriating start of Deathkeep and found an interesting and unique D&D game afterwards. Some video from the journey:

Well, here it is. Eleven years of collecting 3DO and 3DO-M2. These pictures represent about 97-98% of the collection. The only things I didn't include in the pictures are a couple of Konami M2 arcade units, a 3DO dev station and a handful of PAL titles. They are stuck in a storage locker and will have to be pulled out later. I collect for other systems, but 3DO and M2 are by far the systems that I am most passionate about. A lot of what is pictured below I found to be extremely difficult to locate. Some of the items took more than ten years of active searching. The pictures are more or less grouped together in categories to make searching a little easier. For larger images, just click on the respective smaller resolution picture. Anyway, I hope you can all enjoy the following trip back to the mid-1990's from the perspective of an often dismissed gaming system. Pictured below is a boxed Korean 3DO Goldstar Alive model 1: Pictured below are factory sealed / unopened systems: (Click on images) Pictured below are loose consoles without boxes: (Click on images) Pictured below are 3DO Robo's. There is also a link to a video of a Robo running: Pictured below is a complete in box 3DO Robo and a shot of the two different Robo's stacked together: (Click on images) Pictured below are 3DO Blaster's, one of which is running in an old 486 PC. There is also a link to a video of the running 3DO Blaster: Pictured below are shots of a 3DO Blaster running as well as shots of the hardware and interconnects: (Click on images) Pictured below is what a complete 3DO Blaster looks like followed by a collection of the required CD drives, 2 complete in box Japanese 3DO Blasters, and finally, a factory sealed 3DO Blaster: (Click on images) Pictured below are 3DO Testing Stations. These were used by developers to debug games and are therefore able to run unsigned code: (Click on images)

Hello, I am selling my loose copy of Lucienne's Quest for the 3DO. This game has been recently selling between $500 - $899 loose.. I currently have mine up on Ebay, but decided to open up a taking offer's thread here with the stipulation that a sale here may not be a guarantee should it sell on ebay before a deal is made and before any payment is made (I will remove my listing from Ebay prior to payment and after agreed upon price). Should someone hit the "Buy it Now" on Ebay before I am able to remove the listing, the sale goes to the Ebay buyer. This is just to cover that potential conflict. Thus take note of this prior to sending me any offers. Condition: Excellent! Payment: Paypal via itemized invoice Shipping: - USPS - Within the United States only - Shipping Fee : $10 - Will come packaged in a box and well bubbble wrapped Returns: - No returns ..., sold as is

I have a Panasonic M2 FZ-35S (VERY RARE) that was used as a kiosk at a local auto dealership. It is in Like New condition and everything is tested and working. It has the same underlying hardware as the 3DO M2 game systems that were never manufactured. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeLGfeDHIYohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivogNG9jazk There were two games uploaded years later (never officially released) and I have both burnt to disc. One is a racing game and the other is a shmup. In theory, the M2 arcade titles would work if the bios could be modified, bootloader, etc. I have one of the arcade games but it doesn’t work on the stock unit. The system includes the power cable and uses standard VGA, s-video, composite cables. There’s a switch on the back to select your preferred video mode. I do not have a controller, but a standard 3DO controller has been verified as working. I removed the expansion plate (upper right rear) to see what was behind it. It turns out there was nothing there. For some reason I didn’t put it back on!? But I know I have it somewhere and will either ship it with the unit or drop it in an envelope and mail it separate if I can find it. I know I wouldn’t have thrown it out, but I just can’t seem to find it at the moment. It totally bugs me too! I’ll probably kick myself later for parting with this, but I’m trying to build out my collection and looking for systems that have more games, as I also like to play games and not just collect them. PLEASE NOTE: This system only has a couple games and MAY NEVER have anymore. It’s more geared toward the hardcore collector who must have every system. I’m willing to trade for any two of the systems below. They must be in very good condition, completely working and come with all the necessary controllers, cables, etc. Atari Jaguar + CD Neo Geo CD TurboDuo Please feel free to contact me with any questions, thanks.

Hello, i am working on Gameblabla's Crappy Compilation : a compilation of my 4 3DO Games on one disc ! This compilation works on all 3DO consoles, except the early Goldstars. (perhaps because Goldstars are looking at the CD's manufacturer ?) The 4 games are... Unlucky Pony A game for the NEO Compo 2013 that was improved since then. (No idea if the judges liked the game or if they even bothered to test the game) Hinote the delivery man My first 3DO Game back when i first released it in February 2013. Helicopters A full clone of Swing Copters. KillMinds Based on Quartet and SuperKillMinds. So yeah, nothing fantasic or AAA-grade, just simple games. I also intend to make physical copies with a manual, case... Let me know if you are interested in a copy. If you want to have an idea how they play, you can download it here

Adam Koralik with a 3DO he had modded. Definitely worth checking out and seeing all that he did should one consider using (somewhat) original hardware going forward.

Be sure to check out the 3DO controller that has no pass through for a player two, and an unnecessary battery compartment with no leads!

Hi, I just moved this week and it dawned on me that I have too many consoles. I want to reduce my collection to the essentials and be rid of what I don't need. I'm in the Raleigh/Durham area of North Carolina and would like to sell these locally. It does not have to be sold in 1 lot, but I would appreciate if you're interested to buy as much of it as you'd like. I can negotiate down the price if you get several items at once. Here's what I've got: 2x Original Xbox - only 1 set of component cables and 1 controller - $100 FZ-10 3DO (had a broken worm gear. I replaced it with a 3D printed gear and it works again. Includes Goldstar controller) $75 PC Engine Coregrafx with Turbo Everdrive (no controller, video cables, or AC adapter included) $120 Dreamcast with USB-GDROM and Pico PSU + 1 controller $150 Virtual Boy with stand, controller, battery pack, PSU pack (uses SNES AC adapter), and 3 games (Red Alarm, Mario Tennis, VB Wario Land) $150 Atari 600XL with 64K ram and yellow/white composite RCA mod (wico joystick and NOS power supply included) $100 Atari 130XE with switchable BIOS, NOS PSU, and AV cables $100 Atari 2600 Heavy Sixer with AC adapter $150 Playstation 1 with new laser, Monster brand S-video cable, and clear Dualshock controller $40 I hope to find these all good homes. Don't be afraid to PM with with offers. Thanks!

Greetings, So from a thrift store I happened into a stack of sealed 3do games. This included 2 sealed copies of slopestyle, a sealed Tripd a sealed Snowjob, sealed Strahl (which I opened to play as I actually always wanted to play it) some woody woodpecker video discs and a few other titles. I am really wondering what something like the slopestyle and woody woodpecker discs go for as I really dont have any desire to hold on to them. Also anyone here interested before I throw them onto ebay. I o ow they are rare and I'd be willing to sell them a bit under market value to a collector whod love em. I will take some pics of the stuff today for anyone interested.

Hey all, I'm new here so hello. I've recently become aware of two pretty unique games (in that they differ significantly from other versions of them) I really want to play, on original hardware if possible. I've tracked down the games (Super Wing Commander & Wing Commander III), so that's been the easy part. The most difficult part is, because of their nature, I *only* want to bite the bullet on the console if I can find a Flightstick Pro for it, and so far I haven't had any luck (searching on places like eBay). There are tons of PC Flightstick Pro's (I have two myself) but the 3DO version is a tough find. Assuming I can find the former, I'd also really like to get a 3DO, preferably a refurbished one that's guaranteed working and also has a fresh save battery. Either FZ-1 or FZ-10 should be fine. I've found plenty of old hardware, but few options that refurbish 'em. Is this a possibility? Finally, I'm acquiring legit copies of both games in good condition (possibly sealed - we'll see). Would most of you recommend going ahead and using the discs? Or do you suggest burning backups and using the backup? I've seen reports of scratched discs. (Yes, I know if I do get a sealed copy, breaking the seal immediately loses value, but part of me would get a kick out of using the original disc because I'm nuts. =oP). Thanks all for any advice/assistance!

https://photos.app.goo.gl/YBSnAEN4iSydCEQy7 https://photos.app.goo.gl/YBSnAEN4iSydCEQy7 Hi, I tried to do the 240p mod but after doing it, I turned the console on, it gets the 3do logo boot screen and then a black screen. I opened up the console again, and I realized the usb mod (the one you get from MNEMO) was not booting at all. Then I put back the stock cd drive and the same problem. I started sweating cold thinking I screwed up so bad the console (after having invested a lot of money on the console and the usb mod) . Finally, I decided to remove the cables off the VP chip.... and the console booted as normal again, and with the usb mod, as before. I am not technician but I wonder what I did so bad? Everyone says this is an easy mod but didn't work for me lol

I found a decent item for cheap at around 2004, a 3D Zero SNES controller adapter. At first it worked, for both a control pad as well as a fight stick. Then later I bought Pataank, and the 3D Zero didn’t work. It didn’t work with neither the SNES Pad nor fight stick. But the Goldstar 3DO controller and Panasonic fight stick work fine. Also I tested the daisy chaining abilities of the 3D Zero, it worked anywhere from Player 1/4 to Player 4/4. I know it can work with up to 8 people, but I don’t have 8 controllers. First of all, any 3D Zero owners notice an incompatibility with Pataank, or is it just mine? Second, can anyone name a 3DO game they have that doenst work with a 3D Zero? Finally, how do other SNES->3DO adapters work with their 3DO games, i especially what to hear about incompatible ones with 3D Zero, like Pataank?

Something happened that inspired this topic: Were there any 3DO games you couldn't play before that you now enjoy? I was never into Slayer. Not a D&D kinda guy, but I do like RPGs in general. I always lauded playing this one. I bought it for the sake of collecting and my first few recent attempts at playing it always left me sorta disappointed. I died a lot and never really knew what I was doing or where I was going. The only good thing I could say about it was that it moved like an FPS at least, and not like some screen-by-screen nightmare (Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder, that sort of thing). That's until yesterday. I caught a cool gameplay video on YT that showed me a couple things I hadn't considered and I ended up playing for 1+ hours last night and I have the itch to get back home and play it again asap. Here's some pro-noob advice: DO NOT create a character, unless you're knowledgeable about AD&D. DO pick a melee class, unless you're knowledgeable about AD&D (with a mage you'll be running away a lot, until you pick up items that help killing baddies) DO use the items you find. Inventory is limited so it's better to use the potions and scrolls as you go than to hoard everything and die with your backpack full. DO hit Select to bring up your map, you'll see the full layout of the floor you're on DO NOT apprehend dying. If it happens, you can re-start with the same items in your inventory and equipment (i think), sort of like New Game+, so you get a proper second chance at finishing that floor you died on. Seriously, choosing a pre-rolled character will guarantee that you will have the required HP to tank hits, the required STR to wield weapons, the required stats to equip armor, etc. The full map also auto-fills as you explore, so it's easy to tell where you have and haven't been, making navigating through the randomly generated mazes much more statisfying. Also, most walls and corridors look similar so the map is a great help there, too. tl;dr choosing to play as a pre-built Fighter and using the map make this game MUCH more enjoyable for me.
