  3. We are nearing the end of the Garage sale. Thanks to all the people who purchased so far! All prices are in US funds and shipping will be from Canada. Of course, I'm always open to making a deal. I ship my items to ensure that they arrive safely and anyone who has purchased from me can attest to that. Wico Stick and Y Cable - works great but something is rattling inside the stick... but it played great with Star Wars Arcade when testing it. Also comes with this cable and the Atarimax 5200 SD multi cart! It's like getting the Wico Stick for free with the purchase of the Atari Max SD Multi cart! Sold and Shipped Code of Princess 3DS game - limited edition with art book and CD soundtrack. $20 This is a beautiful Coleco Gemini for sale. It is a Canadian multi-language system and comes with the English-French manuals and even has most of the French console stickers as well as the French cartridge labels for Donkey Kong and Mouse Trap (the pack-in carts). The Styrofoam is in excellent shape and the box is in very nice shape (there is some rips on the front corner and on the flaps - that's why I added as many photos to show). I tested both controllers and they were working. One of the sticks was a bit touchy on the down direction and the other works really nicely. Paddles seemed ok but I only played it with Circus Atari (didn't know the button doesn't work for paddle.. you need to move the stick to act as the button). The system is a stock system and works but it was acting up a little bit... once I had the system setup on the floor with the rf connector, it was working nicely. It is a really old system that's been in storage for 25 plus years but everything has been protected and is in great condition! I tried a handful a carts on the system and it worked great. This is a beauty system and I am putting it up here for sale for $65 plus shipping $65 I also have a small selection of Atari 2600 games that I have not tested yet. All come with instructions and some are complete in the box. Here's a list and I can supply pictures. Here's a list and some prices I came up with... these are negotiable of course: Video Olympics - Cart and Manual $2 Pele's Soccer - Cart and Manual $2 Tennis (Activision) - Cart and Manual $4 Freeway - Cart and Manual $4 Frogger - Cart and Manual $4 RS Volleyball - Cart and Manual $3 SQ Earthworld - Cart and Manual and Comic and Poster $10 Basketball - Cart and Manual $2 Baseball (MNetwork) - Cart manual and box $4 Football (MNetwork) - Cart manual and box $4 Circus Atari - Cart Manual and box $4 Venture (Original Coleco) - Cart and manual and box and warranty card $6 Lock and Chase - Cart and manual and box $6 Space Attack - Cart and manual and box $5 Space Jockey - cart and manual and box $4 Realsports football - cart and manual and box $4 Carnival - cart and manual and box (missing top flap) $4 ET - cart and manual and box (and tip sheet and Indiana Jones advertising sheet) $15 Star Raiders - cart and manual and touch pad and boxes (boxes for game, touch pad and outer box) $12 Frogs and Flies - cart and manual and box $7 again... these need to be tested but I expect them to be fully working. I'll be testing these this weekend (update... due to Destiny 2 I have not tested these yet... lol) Pics and update on testing to follow). I also have an Atari binder which holds 8 carts and closes nicely. I actually have 2 of these binders but one has the binding split and the other is in nice shape and includes some of the stickers to place on the spine (to let you know which carts were in the binder). There are a lot of the stickers there for the games (all Atari brand games only) but someone took the ones from the above and placed them on the cart... why? I have no idea. I'd sell the 2 binders for $6 Lastly... I have some other manuals in addition to the ones below... as well as some various catalogs... say $2 each for these. Various Atari 5200 manuals as well as a Vectrex manual for Minestorm. These are all available for sale or trade. $1 or $2 each... these are not big bucks. Buy more and the price will drop. Gee this is getting empty... well that's a good thing. Time to add a few more items as I am nearing the end of this year's sale. I know I have a few things left to add and that should do it for my goodies! (Well... until I discover another box lol!) Let the 2017 Garage Sale continue... Thanks for checking out my items!
  4. With the Wii U having the gamepad screen why no DS player like the GameBoy player ? And with 3D TV's it seems like you could even play them in 3D or just 2D. I know many only like to play hand held games on hand held systems and a GameBoy player would shrink the screen size on a TV but I know there are some who like to have the option to play on the TV. Since you can play PSVita on TV with the PSVita TV system you would think Nintendo would make it possible too. Probably a stupid but I always enjoyed this option with the GameBoy series.

  6. Just wanted to let everyone know about the release of Gaming on Batteries Magazine #1. GoB Mag is a new take on the way gaming magazines present their content. We don't have columns of text, minuscule pictures of the games (or worse, very few pictures). We don't waste pages on page after page of editorials by the staff, we focus on the games and displaying them as well as we can within the confines of a page. The contents of the first issue are: Reviews: Kid Icarus: Uprising on the 3DS Zelda Ocarina of Time 3D on the 3DS Kid Dracula on Game Boy Virtua Tennis Challenge on Android Rayman Origins on PS Vita and the following Features: 8 Essential Game Boy Games E3 Focused on Portable Gaming I think the magazine is attractively priced at a buck for the digital and $4.99 +shipping for the print. The physical print copies use 80# Text Paper Stock, the same as the old 90's Gamefan magazine. The pages are sturdy and will hold up quite well to the deluge of ink on each page. The staff of Gaming on Batteries Magazine are: Myself, Carl Williams, my professional publishing work includes Copy Editing Classic Video Gamer Magazine (#1, #2 and #3), Managing Retro Editor for Gamefan Magazine (reboot, issue #6) and owning/operating the Gaming on Batteries website. Nick Abrams was one of the retro writers for Gamefan #6 and is co-owner with me on Gaming on Batteries. Ryan Janes and Carl Burton are our resident UK writers. Dustin Vogler is a member of the Classic L337 podcast and staff writer for GoB. Kevin Sousa is co-host of The Paranerds podcast and staff writer for GoB. Copy Editors and debuting in future issues are: Eric Bailey, better known as The Nintendo Legend. Michael Crisman, former writer for Gamefan magazine (issue #6, see a pattern yet?) Jason Fanelli, dude is all over gaming and a former writer for Gamefan magazine (nope, not issue #6 but #7 and, I believe, #. We are interested in hearing what fans think of the magazine, what they would like to see more of and what they think we did wrong. Fans can write to [email protected] for now. Gaming on Batteries Magazine is available on Magcloud at http://www.magcloud.com/browse/issue/416376 Gaming on Batteries can also be found at http://www.gamingonbatteries.com
  7. ARE YOU READY FOR SOME NEW CASTLEVANIA!?! So I did a google news search of "Castlevania", and supposedly there are two new titles coming out. The first is a sequel to Lords of Shadow, and is rumored to be available on the Vita and upcoming Wii U. The second is a platformer for the 3DS, which was described as a platformer with two playable charecters and a co-op mode. I'm not sure if this refers to simultanious New SMB type co-op, or weird Portrait of Ruin co-op. I am very excited for some new Castlevania handheld titles, as these are long overdue. Metroidvania seems to fit in with Nintendo portable like a fish to water. I'm not too sure how I feel about the LoS 2 game for Vita; my gut tells me that it will end up being a lot like the 360 release, visually stunning but not much of a game. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing a platformer on the Vita either. Anyone who has played Rayman Origins can attest to the the Vita's platforming chops. Comment and speculate away!
  8. Ever since I've had my 3ds, I've wanted to consolize one. I suppose this may be less "needed" now that the Switch exists, but i still want to! I suppose the biggest challenge would be the second (lower screen.) You could maybe rig a Wii U gamepad to work, but there probably just aren't enough of them so maybe a cheap android tablet in conjunction with a controller? Not sure how this would work exactly but sure would be cool. Any thoughts or am I taking crazy pills here? Has anyone done it to your knowledge?
  9. Despite owning most Nintendo systems, I have never played a Zelda title. I currently have a DS, 2DS, and Wii U. I'm looking at Wind Waker HD and Ocarina of Time 3D. Any suggestions which one to start with? Should I even start with those, or go to the Virtual Console first?
  10. I have 4 New in Box never opened New Model 3DS and 4 New Gamestop Chargers. Items are brand new, never used! $180 shipped each set (1 3DS and 1 charger) insured in the US. PayPal gift is preferable

  12. Unbeliever

    Amiibo!

I'm curious if there's any collectors of this out there, and if you like the way the characters are designed. Are you using them with your Wii U, or are you just collecting them? I have a 3DS and no accessory to play them on (yet), so at the moment they are staying in their packages and are part of my Nintendo collection. There was so much hype on the release of these devices, so did they live up to the hype they received in your opinion, or are you in general disappointed with them? I picked up the Mario figure this morning, and personally find the figure well done and detailed. Are you collecting just a select few of these are are you getting all of them as they get released? There seems to be plenty all over the place (Walmart, Gamestop, Best Buy, etc), but did you find shortages and couldn't get a particular figure before Christmas, and are you still having trouble locating the ones you want now? I wasn't planning on getting these, since in particular I don't have a Wii U and will have to wait for the peripheral for the 3DS, but I love the way they display. What are your thoughts on collecting these from Nintendo? Do you like them? Are you obsessed? Were you not impressed? Do you think they'll become harder to obtain down the road (1st release in particular) and do you think the prices on the first runs will increase exponentially? I'm mostly curious as to what people out there at AtariAge think of these figures and how they play if you do have a Wii U you can play them on. Thanks for your thoughts. Steve
  13. Hey all, So I just got my New 3DS XL and wanted to pick up another game to go with it. I have a huge list of 3DS games I want, but do any of you have a definitive title I should buy? Thanks for the recommendations.
  14. I still bring my 3DS along quite a bit. Great, full e-shop on there. It does amaze me how primitive Mario Kart 7 seemed after playing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on the go...haha. I can see using both for a good long while but I will say my 3DS has been staying home more and has been fully off and on a shelf for longer than ever since I bought it since the switch came out. I used to walk around all day at work with my 3DS on hoping to get street pass tags, one of the cooler social features of that system I think. What about you?
  15. Hi, folks: I'm looking for the case only of the game, "The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds". The case I got was one of Gamestop's cases, and since I'm collecting and playing my 2DS, I would like a good copy for my shelf. It doesn't have to be in perfect condition, but without holes, scratches, or writing on it would be appreciated. Please PM me if you have a copy for sale, and many thanks. Happy New Year! Steve

  18. Hey you guys! I'm looking to get rid of both Spy Hunter and Mr. Do's Castle for the Colecovision. Both are cart only, but the carts are in pretty good shape. I'd take $15 for Mr. Do's Castle and $30 for Spy Hunter. $40 if you'd like both. I'm also interested in selling a Red 3DS XL. It comes with all of the original materials, including the charger and the sealed AR cards. The screens have had screen protectors since day one and I've also got two old 360 feet attached to the upper screen to prevent any of the infamous 3DS screen scratches (the feet are cleanly removed if you don't want to use them). The machine is in great shape. Looking for $160ish shipped. Primarily looking for Paypal right now. PM me if you're interested. I don't have any feedback on here, but I do have quite a bit of eBay feedback under the name drxavion and on other forums such as CAG and NeoGAF.
  19. Greetings everyone, Due to some bad luck and a less than serious car accident, I need to raise some money to pay for the insurance deductable. I dont have any prices in mind so feel free to shoot me offers via PM. I'm normally a regular on GameTZ (same name as here) so if you want to look at my feedback you're more than welcome. Also, please let me know if I'm doing this incorrectly. I'll also be updating this as the week goes on so expect more items and better formatting. I wont put prices on all of the games since anyone can use VGPC, but I will update with pictures as I can. I do a lot of field work so I'll update in batches as I can. Thanks! Jaguar Another World CIB - Got this from the second run. Pricing this is hard because I see a wide range, but they seem to start at about $400. Bloody Wolf Bonk's Adventure Keith Courage in Alpha Zones TV Sports: Football Vigilante 3DS Black Zelda 3DS console only, no charger Gold Zelda New 3DS with box and charger Atari Computers Atari 600XL CIB - $100 + shipping Games to come...
