Just wanted to highlight this: The National Museum of Computing, who I work with, is celebrating 50 years of Atari with two great events: a games tournament featuring systems from its classic collection and with an Atari art challenge. Here a link to the games tournament, taking place on September 17: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/atari-50th-birthday-celebration-gaming-guests-prizes-tickets-293192415407?aff=ebdssbdestsearch Besides the classic game consoles, Atari 8-bit and 16-bit computers will be on display – and there will be prizes for highest scores in the tournament. TNMOC have arranged special guests, too: Kevin Hayes, former head of Atari Ireland, and Kay Savetz who will host a Q&A with former Atari software authors. You can join their speakers online via Zoom, if you can’t make it in person on the day. TNMOC's art competition honours the designers behind the eye-catching cover art of titles as Space Invaders, Missile Command and Pac-Man. The museum's challenge is simple: re-design one of the great covers from the 2600 canon in your own style using any medium. Among the prizes, the chance to have your winning design printed on a museum T-shirt, art and games vouchers, and a copy of the Tim Lapetino's Art of Atari and Pac-Man: Birth of an Icon. Deadline for entries is: September 9. You can find all the details here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/atari-art-re-imagined-competition-tickets-375040755997?aff=ebdssbdestsearch&lang=en-gb&locale=en_GB&status=40&view=listing

Hello All, I wanted to share a Lynx I of mine i'm having painted by German artist "Mizucat" AKA Jaqueline Ruther. She's really talented and has done a TON of gameboys and Nintendo stuff but very limited Atari. Here is her website to check out past work: HIRE - mizucats Webseite! this is just the base coat so far but i'll upload the final project. I'd like to get her to do more Atari stuff, will probably send her one of my scratched up 7800's next. This lynx has the BenVenn LCD screen and fresh caps already so should be 100% museum piece (or gamers delight) after this work is done. For the record yes it was very scratched up and i didn't send in a pristine Lynx or anything to be painted. Enjoy!

Hey everyone, Recently came into possession of the a one of a kind item, the original art for Paperboy on the Atari Lynx that used to hang in the old Atari office. Just got it re-framed with new acid free matting and UV glass. I've already had a couple of offers on this, and wanted to sanity check pricing on such a piece.

I was a bit bored in lockdown and for a while I've been wanting to do something for my loose 2600 carts. I decided to try some custom mini boxes just big enough for the carts. I wanted to include the key info you're missing without the manual. The front is the original box artwork. One side has 1 or 2 Player icons. The other side has basic controls and the rear has difficulty switches, game modes, tips etc. Just wanted to throw them out there and see what people think

I stumbled across some great Jaguar fan art here recently: http://williamthorup.com/inktober-2016/ Has anyone else made or seen some Jaguar Fan art they would be willing to share? I think anyone who is passionate about this console gets a kick out of some good Jaguar related art.

It always amazes me the GUNK that sticks to our cement and brick walkway slabs in 1 year. Every year I spend a full day pressure-washing all these front & back, and also my pool deck which has composite decking but still accumulates dirt that needs to be washed off. This year I had a little drawing fun before cleaning them all off. This isn't chalk on cement; the dark parts are slime, the bright parts what it looks like after the pressure wash water cleans it off.

Be gentle....venturing out from the the safety 8BIt HSC forum I'm working on the graphics for a game we are planning. I don't mind using AGS or MadSudio but I do like the drawing tools available and in Photoshop. So I was wondering (if its possible) to draw in Photoshop and take the save product across into MadStudio and after which I can pass the code onto the programming department (TRBB). Anyone know what settings PS should be set up with to achieve this ? Cheers for now, RT 8-bit High Score Club http://atariage.com/forums/forum/60-8-bit-high-score-club/

Does anyone have or is able to make a quick overlay template for the keypad controllers? I am currently in the process of creating a game that will use that type of controller and would like to have a quick, dirty visual aid.

A MIDIMate interface for the Atari 8bit computers. Plugs into the SIO port. Works with MIDI Music System 1.0 and MIDI track III. Includes two 1/4 " to RCA adapers for the Sync In and Out ports. Includes original disk and manual for MIDI Music System software. It also can convert AMS music to MIDI format that is uses. (.MUS file extension.) Includes a CD of the entire archive of the 3000 public domain MIDI files that can be played with this interface from the Action Annex BBS. I was co-sysop for a few years back in the day. This was the very same interface Donna used to make audio tapes and test her composition. How's that for maximum compatibility? Since all the MIDI Max interfaces are sold out at Best Electronics, this may very well be one of the last few times you will ever find a vintage equivalent interface like this. Until someone remakes the interface for the 1088xl or finishes the reverse engineering of an equivalent. SOLD!

Insert Coins and let the one-two punch of arcade nostalgia hit you right in your wardrobe. ARKADO RETURNS is a follow up to my first Kickstarter campaign, ARKADO, that was sucessfully funded and delivered in 2014. Like it's former, ARKADO RETURNS is a celebration of 26 vintage arcade titles that range from the beloved to the obscure. Can you name them all? This time ARKADO RETURNS with two designs presented in both Horizontal Mode and Vertical Mode, like the arcade screen orientation of the past. Like my previous campaigns, the goal is to fund a limited edition run of this artwork on apparel and print. If successfully funded, this limited edition apparel will be made to order for the backers along side a small batch run to be sold at conventions and shows. Like ARKADO, EFEMERECO, and WINNERS DON'T DRINK DRUGS, once all these shirts have been sold, no more will be made. The tees will be silk screened with Pantone 375 C and Reflex Blue C ink onto super soft, Bella Canvas 100% Cotton Baby Blue Unisex Tees. These tees are available in size EXTRA SMALL through 4XL. $15.00 for 1 or $27.00 for 2, Free Shipping in U.S.A. Claim yours at OneRadTee.com

I have just completed the final proof of the 4th set of peel & stick Intellivision cover photos. These die cut 1.9 x 2.5 inch stickers are designed to fit perfectly onto the top of standard game cartridges. This project was not without some mishaps, adjustments, & revisions. For those of you that are wanting completed sets of game labels I will be sending PMs to each of you as soon as I have them printed out. Still to do the really rare labels which will be even tougher. Thanks for all the support to everyone in this great group of people.

Hi everyone. I've been working on a project I'm calling AtasciiTube. It's a HTML5/JS app to play for ATASCII animations. I'm still refining the code, but it's working pretty well so far. Check it out: http://breakintochat.com/collections/atascii. Also, I want to send out a plea to anyone who saved any ATASCII animations from years ago. I have found quite a few, but I know there have to more out there. If you were an 8-bit sysop or user back in the day, or maybe you dabbled in creating these animations yourself, please give me a holler! I'd love to add any animations you can send me.

Inktober 2016 Book | Atari Propaganda | Featuring Atari Lynx Art
BitJag posted a topic in Atari Lynx
The full post is in the marketplace. I just want to make sure everyone who is interested gets a chance to see it before the sale ends. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/261416-inktober-2016-book-atari-propaganda-atari-console-fanart-collection/ -
A real labor of love is finally complete. An Atari drawing for everyday of the month of October 2016 (31 drawings), now in one beautifully printed collection, Inktober 2016 | Atari Propaganda. Atari Lynx, Atari ST, and Atari Jaguar are featured most of the time, but there are a few bonuses in there as well. Because I am not one for heavy marketing, I want to make sure that everyone who would like a copy of this collection can get it for a deal right up front. I also don't want to spend the next year packing and shipping books, I got more Atari art to make darn it! So here is a bit of encouragement to purchase sooner rather than later. If you purchase the Atari Propaganda collection before the end of the day January 27th, you can get the $20 book for $18 USD (%10 off). If that is still too much, sign up for my mailing list (link at the top of my website) and get an additional %15 off of a single copy making your purchase $15 + shipping. This includes a dated signature from the artist of course. Not interested in buying the whole collection? Not a problem, I also have all the larger (8.5x11") art prints of every drawing on sale as well for $7 a piece. Pick the ones you really want, without the hassle of flipping the pages of a book. Thank you for the support, and enjoy the Atari fan art goodness! A lot of us here like to play with graphics, others like to view anything TI. So, how about a thread to turn any photo from a current event or something of interest into a "TI related photo"? The two below have already been posted, but hey, I had to start this thread with something. What do you have?
