My friends. My Commodore 64 went poop. I have some toys for someone. I'm asking 75.00 for the pair. Here's what I know. First this is a modern version of the Epyx Fastload cartridge. From my understanding it WILL work with the SD21IEC Next the SD2IEC plugs into a commodore 64 and you can load d64 images from a memory card. I was using the SD2IEC card reader at the time my Commodore 64 crapped out. I had ordered the FastLoad and it had not yet arrived. So didn't get to test them together. The SD2IEC I know works awesome! I was half-way though a game of Forbidden Forest when something happened to my commodore's graphics chip and it blacked out. The SD2IEC works with standard SD cards. I had a 32GB card in when I tested. Format the SD card, copy this file browser to your card. https://commodore.software/downloads/download/29-disk-menus/1140-cbm-filebrowser-v1-6 The download d64 C64 images onto the card. Load the file browser, LOAD"*",8,1 just like any disk drive. Then you can browse into each d64 image on the SD Card. I watched a you tube video and figured it out. Just search for SD2IEC. If something happens and the FastLoad doesn't work with the SD2IEC (Since I couldn't test), I'll refund 25.00 back on the purchase.

So here are my Activision, Absolute and Epyx games. Probably the only complete sets that I have (perhaps M-Network as well). I've always had a particular like for Activision comics and if I'm completely honest with myself I'd say they were best company for the 2600 back in the day. Their titles always seemed to me the more original and were effectively home game exclusives, many of them quite original. I liked how they had the consistent packaging, you got to see a picture of the actual designer and their look was always clean and bright. They always had good level of quality overall. As a kid River Raid, Tennis, Enduro and Megamania made the rounds among my friends and while I never owned them back then, I was fortunate to borrow them on occasion and played them for hours. I did see their catalogues at the department stores and always wished I owned them. The one cartridge especially I wanted was Decathlon just because I was fascinated with Track&Field (or Hyper Olympics) in the arcade. With my allowance it would have taken me months to save up considering the high prices of carts back then. When I moved to a different country I was gifted some cash which I then I sent by mail to my old friends to buy me and ship me the game (the country I lived had no Atari games and straddled in between being a 3rd World Country and something close to being developed). I've had some happy moments in my complicated life and receiving Decathlon in the mail, is one of the top 10 moments for me. When I moved to Canada I picked up a ton of games in 89-91 for the 2600. Activision titles were always pricey in the stores, so I picked many of the common ones at local second-hand stores. This is how I got to play for some of my all-time favourites like Pressure Cooker, Keystone Kapers, Pitfall, and Frostbite. In the stores I actually bought Space Shuttle, Decathlon, Enduro, and Robot Tank. Towards the end of my 2nd Atari phase I then picked up titles like Double Dragon, Commando, as well as all three Epyx titles, and Title Match Pro Wrestling. For the last few years as I rebuilt my Atari collection, I started collecting again and picked some titles I never owned previously. HERO and Pitfall II were great finds and have become a couple of my favourites. There were some that I had never seen or played as well like Private Eye, Pete Rose, Beamrider, and Kung Fu Master. I think the last missing cartridge for me was Cosmic Commuter (another mysterious one) which I ended getting from someone on eBay. I have some of the titles boxed as well, so I will probably snap some additional pictures in the next couple of days. I also noted that I seem to have a couple all-blue label instead of their colour version; Keystone Kapers and Space Shuttle. Probably easy to find KK, but I'm sure it will be pricey to get a copy of SS. Many of the labels seem to be in poor condition, showing the usual dark spots. Some of them had their price stickers still on; just looking at them now I'd think I'd be hard-pressed to pay that much for them again. Overall, I'm happy I was able to complete the Activision set.

It looks like we entered the area of rare and expensive Atari games which are difficult to collect but that is only true for CommaVid. The other 2 are completed, Konami with 2 restored labels and Epyx with even 3 replaced new labels. Very proud of these... Lot of work!

I wanted to share the letter I received in 1992 for Finishing Todd's Adventures in Slime World. If you found the real last exit in Arcade Mode, Todd gives you a message to write to Epyx, it says there is no reward, but I wrote to them, I don't remember what I wrote, but I ended up getting this signed letter from M. Peter Engelbrite. I thought this was a great reward.

In my opinion Epyx made the most creative use of the unique Lynx hardware features ('pseudo 3d', scaling, stretching) which probably isn't such a surprise since they designed the console. I just wanted to share some of my favourites and wanted to know which ones you guys like. Some of the great uses in Epyx Lynx games that come to mind from the top of my head: *Blue Lightning: Unbelievable pseudo 3d for the time. I always fly low because the ground looks so great! ? I'm especially fond of the fields in level 1 *Slime World: A personal favourite, in my opinion perhaps the most fun use of the sprite scaling: the pulsating slime levels and creatures are amazing, the stretching clouds, the stretching and moving slime-'water falls' etc. Very unique looking game thanks to this, one of a kind really. They also managed to make the whole world pulsate just enough because this kind of thing could easily be very distracting. I can't even play the Megadrive version because the world isn't able to imerse me in comparison to the moving Lynx version of the slime world. *Electrocop: Again, technically super impressive pseudo 3d game for it's time. I don't remember seeing anything quite like it on another system either. *California Games: Impressive scrolling in bmx. Amazing zoom in and out in half pipe (option 2). *Gauntlet: The spinning character select. Ok maybe not super creative haha *Chip's Challenge: The rain of chips in the intro looks great! Probably some of the more impressive non epyx games using scaling would be stun runner, checkered flag and warbirds. I wonder if Luchtenstein makes use of the Lynx hardware capabilities? Any way it's obviously very impressive.

Already covered? I tried a search, but came up negative. In the 80s, I used EPYX Fun With Art on my 800XL to create a lot of raster images. I still have them saved on floppy disk. I know I can boot a ROM of Fun With Art through emulation, and open these files in a Windows environment. Then I can just use a screen grab to get access to the bitmaps in modern software. However, I am wondering if there are any Windows-based image viewers that can open, or convert, these pics as-is. I have them saved on floppies in *.pic format. However, I am wondering if they should be renamed with the *.fwa extension. Thanks for the feedback.

We've all seen the dreaded Actiplaque, but how common is this on these rather dull Epyx-labels? Honestly looks just like someone was passing by and thought "Damn, that's some nasty carts right there" and spat a nasty loogie right on them labels. Yeah, i guess it's probably due to the glue and/or label composition but i still couldn't resist making the reference. Is this true to all Epyx labels of this version or is it just us PAL-folks who are affected?
