  1. Hey there guys and gals, I seem to be having some compatibility issues with a dozen or so Sega Master System games that won't load on my EverDrive GBA X5 (using SMSAdvance version 2.5) and I was just wondering if anyone else with an EverDrive GBA X5 could try out the games I'm having issues with to see if it's a universal problem or just something going goofy with my particular EverDrive. Whenever I try to load any of these games all I get is a black screen: After Burner Bank Panic (Europe) Double Dragon Fantasy Zone II Ghouls 'N Ghosts Golden Axe Kenseiden Lord of the Sword OutRun Rampage Rocky Shinobi Thunder Blade Time Soldiers All of my other 200 or so Master System games load just fine, but all I get with the games listed above is a black screen and nothing else. At first I thought maybe I just had a few bad ROM files so I tried different versions of them from three different ROM sets, but no luck. Has anyone else had problems loading those particular Master System games, and if so is there anything in the settings that needs to be tweaked to get them to work?

  3. Piko Interactive is a game development and publishing company that concentrates in the development of new games for old consoles. They sent me a box of new NES, Super Nintendo, Genesis and GBA to play. This is a mix of reproduction cartridges, home-brews, unreleased & unfinished games. Here they are: Water Margin (Genesis) Mr. Bloppy (SNES) Anguna Warriors of Virtue (GBA) World Reborn (GBA) Duke Nukem 3D (Genesis) Corn Buster (SNES) Super 3D Noah's Ark (SNES) Dorke & Ymp (SNES) Apocalypse II (SNES) Quest Forge by Order of Kings (NES) Broken Circle (GBA) http://www.PikoInteractive.com * This video was NOT sponsored...just a normal video review

  5. It's been few dsays since I did one of these blogs (due to running out of episodes I've seen), but I do have one more card up my sleeve to occupy the time until I get my Satelite Swindle DVD. That card is the one and only Game Boy Advance video of Sonic X, which contains episodes one and two. It always suprises me how well Game Boy Advance can handle full motion video, considering the nature of the handheld. Unless you're watching something like Spongebob Squarepants, the animation tends to be just as smooth as it is on a TV. Such is the case here, and I really appreciate it. Except in a few instances, everything looked just fine, and the sound was very clear. If you want to watch Sonic X while you're out and about, this is the best you can do (besides a portable DVD player). As an interesting aside, a second Sonic X GBA Video was in development (and was probably pretty far along too, considering that there was a box image released). However, this was canceled before release.

  8. I looking for GBA E Reader cards I am willing to start at $5 a pack plus postage
  9. (I also posted this on Nintendoage) I am looking to sell most all of my videogame collection. Most of it just sits around not being played. Now on to the hard part. I don't know what to do. I want to get a good price for all of it, but I don't want to rip anyone off. What would all this be worth? Do I need to sell it here, or on Ebay? I don't think I want to part it out. I want to just sell it off in one big lot...I think. Help!
  10. The Nintendo GBA is mostly known for amazing 2D graphics, similar to the SNES...however a handful of brave developers attempted to bring 3D graphics to the handheld. How successful were they? Let's find out! GAMES SHOWN: Drome Racers Star X Stuntman Asterix & Obelix XXL FIFA 07 Soccer Kill.Switch 007 Nightfire Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed Medal of Honor Undergroun Tony Hawk Downhill Jam SSX 3 Dark Arena Doom II Crazy Taxi: Catch a Ride This isn't all of the 3D games for the GBA. What other games do you think push the hardware?
  11. Hey gang, I just upgraded my old beatup Coleco Donkey Kong tabletop with a nice, minty one from craigslist and am finally ready to frankenstein mod the old one. My plan is to put a GBA SP inside, making it more of what us 1980s kids dreamed these machines would be. Sooo, I can just do that and use GBA carts, but a flash cart with multiple games would really kick it up a notch, esp if I could run a NES emu on it--NES really had some nice arcade ports, and now, most importantly, the NES Donkey Kong Complete rom with all 4 screens! That would really make this a dream machine! I did one a few years ago with 1 of those Excalibur Frogger tabletops, putting guts from a cheap Chinese multigame inside and it came out great, but the screen is a bit small, game selection blows...anyway, I want to top that and really go for the gusto this time. Anybody got good advice on which flash cart to buy? NES emulation and possibly also oldschool GB and GB Color compatibility would be the biggest considerations. Thanks in 'advance' har-har...
  12. I need some jobs done with my AGS-101 Game Boy Advance SP: 1. The charging port (The rectangle port next to the link cable port) doesn't charge all the way and it's very finicky. Could be a bad ac adapter, I'll try a new one out maybe. Either case I'd like someone to take a look at the port to make sure it's not damaged. I'll get a new battery too for it. 2. The volume slider is almost unusable. I have tried cleaning the little slot out but it looks like it's going to need a new volume control module or whatever that thing is. 3. A check of the capacitors just to be safe.
  13. Another Japanese video game unboxing!
