  1. This conversion was made for me by Mr. Wizard. Watch gameplay footage tonight at 8 PM ET!
  2. I can't remember for the life of me how to do it. I know for the NES and other systems it's like down on the D pad plus start. I'm thinking that: -It does it automatically for games that support the save feature (this I know to be the case). -It may be a button combo that I don't remember and can't find -OR the GG everdrive doesn't support save states like the Mega Everdrive does and my memory is playing tricks on me.. it only supports the battery save games. Thanks, and sorry for the stupid question. It's amazing what you can't find a definitive answer to easily online these days!!
  3. Long awaited and finally added to my collection! This was my second most wanted behind Mega Man X3 (which I got last January).
  4. First of all, Hello everyone, i'm new in this forum. Recently I've bought a Mc will mod for Game Gear and I have a problem: When I press 1 and 2 buttons at the same time, the screen change its scale. Normally this only happens when you press 1, 2 and start button too at the same time. Does anyone know if it's possible to fix it?, becouse is a bit annoying because some games needs to press 1 and 2 bottons at the same time. Thank you in advance.
  5. I would like to see what the pros thought of the game gear games. Pm me if you have any mags with game gear reviews in them you wouldn't mind getting rid of.
  6. For the last few months, I supplemented my money from work with sales on ebay. Now this thread will show what I have left over. There are going to be more items added eventually, and I am going to make a text only list of complete in box music cds I have at the bottom for those who are interested in buying any of those cheap from me. I buy them cheap so I will sell them equally cheap when I am done with them. All games with pictures shown are available. Ask for prices of games that don't have a price shown yet if you want them. The items will be arranged from most expensive first to cheapest last so collectors who are really into it can see the rarest stuff first. If you buy enough stuff from me at once I won't charge for shipping. I'm having a hard time selling the complete in box Atari 2600 games on ebay as the demand is low for pre-NES stuff there. Haggle with those if you want them. Sega Nomad system only - $40 Sega Game Gear system only - $30 Mr. Nutz [sNES] - $30 Bust-A-Move (complete in box) [3DO] - $30 The Incredible Hulk (complete in box) [Game Gear] - $20 Tom & Jerry (complete in box) [Game Gear] - $15 Klax (complete in box) [TurboGrafx-16] - $12 Dodge 'Em (complete in box) [Atari 2600] - $12 Freeway (complete in box) [Atari 2600] - $12 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (complete in box) [Game Gear] - $10 Astroblast (complete in box) [Atari 2600] - $10 Breakout (complete in box) [Atari 2600] - $10 Red Alarm [Virtual Boy] - $10 Asteroids (complete in box) [Atari 2600] - $9 Defender (complete in box) [Atari 2600] - $8 Night Driver (complete in box) [Atari 2600] - $8 Missile Command (complete in box) [Atari 2600] - $8 Pole Position (complete in box) [Atari 2600] - $8 Video Pinball (complete in box) [Atari 2600] - $7 Mario's Tennis [Virtual Boy] - $5 Keith Courage in Alpha Zones [TG-16] - $2 Games I have that need pictures and/or prices: Tetris (complete in box) [CD-i] - $15 Mutant Rampage: Bodyslam (complete in box) [CD-i] - $15 CIB CD-i movies: Star Trek VI Naked Gun 33 1/3 Guardian War (complete in box) [3DO] Xbox Console with composite cable 007: Agent Under Fire (complete in box) [Xbox] The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (complete in box) [Xbox] Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee (with MS employee store sticker) (complete in box) [Xbox] Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee (Platinum Hits) (complete in box) [Xbox] Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath (complete in box) [Xbox] Shenmue II (complete in box) [Xbox] Madden NFL '07 [Xbox] Sega Genesis Model 1 console only Nintendo GameCube (black) console only Double Dragon (complete in box) [sega Master System] Dragon Spirit [TurboGrafx-16] Nintendo Power Magazines and guides shown in the pictures List of music cds I have available to sell. $2 each and complete in box unless noted. 7. Hi, Looking to get hold of these games in the condition listed if possible please: (also any other unusual Rise related items like Brian May signed photos for example). RISE 1 PC DIRECTOR'S CUT (complete only) RISE 1 Mega Drive (sealed Acclaim blister pack version) RISE 1 US Game Gear version (complete or with manual at least) RISE 2 Saturn (sealed blister pack version) RISE 2 Macintosh (does it exist?) Cheers!
  8. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1uWzUjvV5hsC7NAdC9aj5SGtMy9cpffCUo-EykDRr0nY Long ago I decided to cut some parts of the collection that I never use. I would rather trade this stuff for something cool, but I can also spend money on cool stuff so if you don't want to trade, or have nothing to trade I have no problem taking your money . As far as what I want in trade, I can't give you a full list. Hopefully you also have a list of things you could trade so we can work something out. I can say I would like a few Nintendo Power mags from the NES or SNES era just to have a few in the collection as examples. The same could be same for any magazine with Mortal Kombat 1 - Ultimate 3 or Street Fighter 2 related cover or articles. Other Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter swag would be on interest as well. I would like to get into the C64 and as of yet have nothing for it, so there could be a lot of room to trade there. I'm not only interested in hardware, but books of the C64. I know there were a lot of programming books and such BITD, I would like to have some of that around here too. I could always use more universal game cases. All disk games are likely to have some light scratches or marks on the game side. Every game has been tested in the last 2 weeks and all listed games work as they should. Most things are priced, somethings are not (mostly) because I have a hard time pricing foreign games. There will be more stuff coming to this list in the near future.
  9. Looking for someone to repair my Game Gear's screen (screen works but only a solid blue is displayed, sound works) or nay info on Game Gear repair services.
  10. Which is better, Game Gear or Game Boy? Nintendo had the games and sega had the pure power. So which was better? I think the Game Gear have great sonic games and is the better system. Have fun voting!
  11. I have started doing some modding on my Game Gear about 2 months ago and its been pretty fun and exciting (successful LED backlight mod and battery replacement for the Powerback so far. WOOT!). I started looking into a 50hz/60hz mod for the GG VA1 board to play my PAL master system games on by following various posts switching the NTSC pin from the Sega 315-5535 to a 5V source. After going through the Service Manuals (http://gamesx.com/wiki/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=schematics:service_manual_-_game_gear_va1.pdf) and other posts, I am having a very silly issue: Where is Pin 118 on the Sega 315-5535 IC? I see some possible spots on the other side of the chip, but I don't want to start chopping leads before knowing exactly which pin I'm sending a 5V signal to. I'm modifying a USA VA1 837-9024 Game Gear board. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I've tried some other communities to find this information and I've found the AtariAge community to be very helpful in the past. Take care guys !
  12. I have quite a few game gear games, for instance, Star Wars complete in box, in almost mint conditioned. Dracula and "The Phantom" games unwrapped, many other games too. I was just curious if there's much value to these games or if they're good rummage sale fodder? Thanks for looking
  13. Found all of this through Facebook a few days ago, all for $35 (the Wii wasn't mentioned in the ad, but it was in the bag). The PS2 (model number 79001) didn't have any cables, so I tested it with my own. Disk didn't spin at first, but that was because a piece of plastic broke off the lid, so it wasn't hitting the trigger. Fixed that and it works great. Haven't tried the Wii yet, but inside is an official 2 gb SD card. I'm going to clean them both up and remove the stickers. I'm probably going to sell them cheap, since they are duplicates. It's nice to find some Atari 2600 games, even common ones like these. I've always wanted Lost Luggage, heard it was fun!
  14. Well....what are they? Here are a few of mine: Sonic Triple Trouble: One of the best Sonic Games I've ever played on any system Streets of Rage 2: A brilliant 8 bit port of this game Mortal Kombat 2: Huge characters, super playable, easily (for me) the best handheld port of this classic title Jurassic Park: Great fun driving shooter and run and gun. They nailed it. Fred Couples Golf: I love a good relaxing golf game, and this one complements Fred Couples golf on the 32x nicely.
  15. Hello great gamers of the atariage forum! Letting you know that, in the attempt of cutting down on boxes, my game gear collection is going up piece by piece on ebay. I'll update this post with links as I get things up. I'll be posting what I understand are some of the rarer games in the collection (Shining Force, Sonic Labyrinth, Phantom 2040, Brahm Stoker's Dracula, Mortal Kombat's 1 & 2, & Itchy and Scratchy) All games come with at least the box (though, sadly, shining force's box is... well, not so shining anymore), and I'm still searching to see if I have a ziplock full of the game manuals.... Phantom 2040 (NIB) http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F271211913446%3FssPageName%3DSTRK%3AMESELX%3AIT%26_trksid%3Dp3984.m1555.l2649
  16. The Sega Game Gear is an 8-bit handheld game console that competed with the Nintendo Game Boy & Atari Lynx, but stood on its own with a backlit color display and great accessories. Metal Jesus & Kinsey help beginning Game Gear collectors with the pros and cons of the system, what problems to look out for, modding the screen for better displays, fun accessories, collectable color variants and some games you should buy Day 1. What Game Gear games would you recommend new collectors pick up Day 1?
