  1. Hey there everyone! If there's two things I love in this world it's old video games and Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, and you can expect to see a fair amount of both in this thread. If for some reason you are put off by either old video games or magical talking pastel colored unicorns I would suggest clicking the "Back" button on your browser now. You have been warned lol That said, let's start things off with a look at my home console gaming center! That's a bit of an older picture, before I added another game storage cabinet for my 130'ish Atari 2600 cartridges and some framed Atari posters to the back wall, but it should give you a fairly good idea of my setup. Maybe I can take some new pics later this week if people want to see them. On the subject of the Atari 2600, that seems like as good a place as any to start the look at my game collections for individual systems. Again, this will be a sightly older pic... I've acquired a good dozen or so new games since that picture was taken, including Princess Rescue and a reproduction of Shooting Arcade; as well as a Wico Command Control Trackball, Wico Command Control bat style joystick, a Best Electronics Lightgun, and a Competition Pro 5000 joystick. Those I shouldn't have much trouble snapping some new pictures of in the near future. I do collect for a few other systems as well as the Atari 2600, including the original Game Boy / Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and the Sega Genesis. I use the term "collect" loosely, because honestly I consider myself more of a curator than a collector. I'm not out to collect every game published for my favorite systems, just the ones that I personally like and find enjoyable to play. If I buy a game and decide I don't like it after playing it then it goes up on eBay or off to a local game store and gets resold. There are a few historically significant exceptions to this in my game libraries (such as the copies of Pac-Man and E.T. seen above), but for the most part I'm only interested in collecting the good and fun games for my favorite systems. I haven't taken any pictures of my Genesis collection yet since it's still pretty small (around 20 games) but I do have a few of my Game Boy library to share: I have a real soft spot for the old gray brick and the games on it, but the vast majority of the time whenever I play a Game Boy game it's on my custom Twilight Sparkle themed Game Boy Color. I really dig the color pallets that Nintendo programmed into the GBC for many of the more popular original Game Boy games, and I like seeing the games displayed on a screen the same size as the one they were originally made for; but without any of the motion blur of the original Game Boy screen. The Game Boy Advance SP does get used for original Game Boy and Game Boy Color games sometimes as well though (usually late at night when I don't feel like digging out the Worm Light for the GBC), and it has been somewhat customized too. It started off life as a Graphite colored AGS-101 model backlight GBA SP and really got the ever living daylights beat out of it by it's previous owner, but after I purchased it I ended up refurbishing it with a brand new purple housing, buttons, and screen cover. I also took it to a local game store and had them solder in brand new L and R trigger contacts, and it's been a constant traveling companion for me ever since. It really is a wonderful little system. That's all for now! I hope you enjoyed this look at my gaming center and game collections, and you can expect to see this thread updated regularly with new pictures of Atari 2600, Game Boy/Color/Advance, and Sega Genesis games and accessories.
  2. I believe in truth in advertising. Also - I'm nostalgic for this setup as I filmed it before I tore up my rec room.
  3. I just purchased a GameCube through Facebook Marketplace and I'm really happy with the lot that I got. But I've never owned the console (it was never really popular where I live,) so I don't know much about it. I just watched some videos, but I'd like to know about some of the best games, hidden gems, accessories to take into account and so on. To be completely honest, I'm not even thinking about getting anything else because I spent more than I should have on the lot, but I'd like to know more about the GameCube because it looks like a fantastic system. Just for the purposes of sharing, I got the indigo system, the AV cable, the power brick with the cable, two memory cards that appear to be Chinese knockoffs and ten games. Here's the list: FIFA 07 Wind Waker Twilight Princess Medal of Honor: Frontline Starfox Adventures Resident Evil Resident Evil Zero Super Mario Sunshine
  4. Hello! So I've been stumped on this issue for awhile now, and it's one of the last things to setup before I'm happy. I've got a NTSC GameCube DOL-101 with a D-Terminal cable hooked into an XRGB Mini Framemeister. I recently picked up a Sony PVM-20M2MDU. All of my Retro systems (Modded NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Modded N64, PS2) currently go through a Shinybow DB-5525 SCART switcher which outputs video to the PVM, and the XRGB Mini Framemester to the HDTV simultaneously. I thought buying a D-Terminal to Component adapter to AV Component to SCART Passthrough into the SCART switcher would do the trick, but this wasn't the case. The video output to the PVM was fine, however while the XRGB Mini Frameister handled the audio fine, it wasn't able to detect the video input, thus displaying a blue screen. I'm now unsure of how to proceed. I'd love to display RGB to both the PVM and TV at the same time like the rest of my setup. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this working? For now I've just reverted back to the D-Terminal to XRGB to display on my main TV leaving the PVM and SCART switch out of the mix. Thanks!
  5. How did I not have this before now??

  9. Once again, it's time to start clearing stuff out and raising money to buy homebrews. For the moment I'm just going to use this thread list some of my newer and higher-value items. I also have an old sale thread with items that I'll gradually migrate here. Anything there is still available. Prices do not include shipping, which will always be charged at exact cost. I'm mainly looking for sales, but will consider trades for certain items on my wantlist, e.g. the 32X games I don't have or a CIB Star Control II for 3DO. OK, let's dive in: Sega 32X: World Series Baseball '95 Starring Deion Sanders - box and manual only - $50 or best offer I actually bought a box and manual for this game, and only a couple weeks later ran into a CIB copy in the wild. The box and manual I bought was in better shape, so I kept those + the "wild" cart, and am selling the "wild" box/manual. I'm not sure if you can easily see the sunfading in the pictures. On the box/outer sleeve itself, it's present on one side, but really pretty mild and not too bad at all. (The top of the yellow tray is severely sunfaded, almost white, but those are easy to replace if necessary.) The box isn't mint and there's some wear on a couple edges, but overall it's in quite reasonable shape. If the price seems bizarro, this is the 2nd rarest US release for the 32X, and regularly goes for well over $100, so this is a good way to save money by piecing together a copy. Sega Genesis: CIB: Gauntlet IV - $16.00 Mortal Kombat - $8.00 Revenge of Shinobi (Sega Classics) - $11.00 Strider Hiryu (JPN) - $15.00 Boxed: Street Fighter II: Championship Edition - $5.00 Superman - $7.00 Thunder Force II - $8.00 Other: Game Genie - $5.00 I have lots of other Genesis stuff that'll be joining this thread sooner or later. Much of it is in the old thread linked above. PlayStation 1: Sealed games: Crash Bandicoot 2 (Greatest Hits) - price TBA Mortal Kombat Trilogy (Greatest Hits) - price TBA Shrek Treasure Hunt - $5.00 Shooter Starfighter Sanvein - $5.00 Speedball 2100 - $6.00 Spyro the Dragon (Greatest Hits) - price TBA I also have 12-15 other games available for sale, mainly Crash Bandicoot and Tomb Raider games. Details forthcoming. GameCube: Wavebird controller: I have one, but I don't think I really want or need it. Details TBA, or ask if you're interested. CIB games: Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour (Player's Choice) Pac-Man World 2 (on the fence about selling this) Super Mario Sunshine (Player's Choice) I also have a CIB Lego Star Wars with a totally trashed case. Buy the two games above and it's yours for free. Atari ST: Harrier Strike Force (sealed) - $7.00 (no idea what to charge for this!) ------------- Prices do NOT include shipping. Buyers within the US and Canada preferred. All items will be well-packed in a box unless buyer and seller agree on a different shipping method. Payment via PayPal; gift payment (or adding 3% to cover fees) is always appreciated, but never demanded. Also feel free to look at my trader feedback thread; I also have one at Sega-16. Please provide references if you're new to Atariage. More to come, including Miracle Piano Teaching System stuff for NES & SNES.

  12. As you can see from the title this is what I hope to be the first of many videos to come. Your feedback is welcomed and appreciated. I'm really aiming to do something different here. I'm not out to just "chase games" or complete a collection or score the coolest rarity ever. If I get a rare game in the course of filming that would be awesome, but if it's not a bargain, then it won't make the cut. I vow to look for good deals and inspire those of you who want games for less than the insane collector's market prices to do the same. Thanks for watching!

  15. I have a few games for sale for the Nintendo Gamecube. Up first is Pikmin 2. No manual, but has box. I don't know if there's a player's choice version or not. This is not. Asking $25 shipped for it. And then there's Wario World. It comes with box and manual. $15 shipped. Then there's a few more that I'd be willing to let go for $7.50 each. They are: Intellivision Lives! Midway Arcade Treasures Namco Museum (player's choice) Ratatouille PM if you're interested in any of these.
  16. Clearing out a bunch of controllers. All work, except for the 5200 controllers, which have not been tested (I assume they work as well as any of them, which is to say, not much.) Everything is $5 each plus shipping. Any other questions, let me know. Thanks! Or, take everything pictured for $50 shipped in the USA. EDIT 3/20/14: New controllers added including Wico bats, slik sticks,SOLD and Gemsticks.
  17. I'm bothered by all the hate towards E.T. on the 2600. People who haven't even played it say they hate it. You gotta give Howard Scott Warshaw some credit for making a game in 5 weeks. Well, I've found a game we really can complain about, and it has E.T. in it. It's called Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure. It was released in 2001 for the Nintendo GameCube, and even in concept is a horrible game. It features a mini game where you ride the bike with E.T., and it's bad. In fact, the main game is pretty much just walking around the park PICKING UP TRASH. I'm not kidding. If you wanna see more on this sorry excuse of a game that is FAR worse than E.T. on 2600, then I suggest you check out this video that I made about the game, especially the Trash and E.T. parts. So the next time someone says E.T. is the worst game of all time, tell them about Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure.
  18. Hey guys, I am interested in buying a lot of gamecube games and or trading for them. I have a ton of SNES, PS3, Wii, DS, Xbox 360, and Vita games available for trade as well as an ambassador's 3ds and a dsi for offer. I sold my entire collection of my childhood gamecube games around 4 years ago but I want to repurchase a lot of the games I played during my childhood so I am interested in pretty much any game. I only kept pac man world 3 and super smash bros melee but I still need a new manual for melee if anyone has one. please message me with what you have thanks!
  19. Wondering what a fair asking price for this GameCube lot would be... 1 Platinum GameCube, RF & power cables, 1 Controller 1 Indigo GameCube, Composite & power cables, 1 Controller, 1 memory card, Gameboy player attached (can't get it unscrewed to detach it) Gameboy player start up disc and manual Intellivision Lives! Namco Museum 50th Anniversary Namco Museum Midway Arcade Treasures 3 Lego Star Wars The Video Game All games are complete with manuals and cases. Nothing has been tested for over a year, but everything worked then. I would absolutely clean and test everything before putting it up for sale. Just looking for a price using the assumption that everything is still working. Also if anyone has an estimate for USPS shipping for this, I would appreciate that too. Am having major knee problems and am in too much pain to take pics. Sorry. Will try to post some soon, and will definitely include them if I put this up for sale. Serious responses only please. TIA. EDITED: Gameboy start up disc and manual are sold, pending price agreement and testing to make sure the disc works.
