  1. The following HDD's & Optical drives: 1.28 GB (Conner) $2 SOLD 1.28 GB (Fujitsu) $2 SOLD 3.49 GB (Fujitsu) $5 SOLD 4.3 GB (Samsung) $5 SOLD 6.48 GB (Maxtor) $10 40 GB (Maxtor) $15 80 GB (Western Digital) $20 120 GB (Maxtor) $25 48x CD-ROM $10 SOLD 16x DVD+/-R (DL & RAM) Omni-Burner $20 20x DVD-ROM $10 Or, $100 $75 for the lot. Good for classic systems. Well, the 4GB & smaller ones for DOS 6.2 and before. the 40GB & larger for Win95+. Same thing applies with Amiga's KS 3.1 for 4GG & less and 3.1.4 (or earlier with one of several extenders available.) The Optical drives are also good for earlier Most IDE based machines. They were all working when pulled from their respective systems, though they have been sitting in storage for several years. Prices do not include Shipping or PayPal fees.
  2. Well.....after years of making fun at the Xbones expense, I am finally getting one. I found a first gen 500GB on Craigslist for $100, with two controllers. Even I can't say no to that!! Dirty CL pictures attached, haha. I will get it polished up in no time. My main question right now, is how to go about upgrading the HDD. 500GB just won't do these days (or will it?) I pretty much exclusively buy physical games, but do plan on playing a lot of original xbox and xbox 360 games on mine, and my impression is that they all download to the HD, which could suck up space fast. The 360 HDD was too easy, it was plug and play, but my impression from ifixit is that doing the original XBox is a pain in the butt. AND the HDD won't be formatted when installed, so I need to figure out how to format and partition it? Yikes. Am I making it more difficult than it needs to be? Should I just get an external 4TB? I generally don't like things dangling off my game console... Thanks, and will post some pictures once it's up and running! First purchase will be Rare Replay and Rise of the Tomb Raider!
  3. So I decided to pull the old Amiga 500 out and fire it up again. It powered up just fine confirming I have a 3.1 rom chip installed and after booting to WB1.3 I confirm almost 8mb ram. Great. Power it off. Connect my GVP Impact Series II A500HD+, turn it on by itself and it powers up, platters spinning. Turn it off wait for HDD to go silent. Power the amiga and GVP up at the same time. Amiga does not boot. Caps lock comes on then goes off, no power or activity light shown. GVP powers up just like before. Power everything off, disconnect GVP, boot up amiga to the WB3.1 insert floppy screen again. Seems fine. I remove all ram from the gvp and reset the jumpers to their no mem setting. Reconnect, same thing. Amiga does not boot, it does power on but the power light and activity light do not stay on. I only know it is on by tapping the caps lock key and seeing the light go on and off. Rinse and repeat. It was working when I packed it away. At least I recall it was working. Any tips, known issues, possible part replacement? What about this foot note I found on this website? Would that make sense of this was all working at some point? And where do I find the info about a trace cut? I used to do the cpu removal and replace trace cuts back in the day for the additional ram so I'm not afraid to do another HW project. "problems may arise with the combination of A500, 8372A Agnus and an internal memory expansion with CPU or Gary adaptor - a trace has to be cut to solve the problem" Source:http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/impact500mk2 User Manual: https://computerarchive.org/files/comp/hardware/amiga/GVP_Impact_Series_II_A500_HD_Users_Guide.pdf
  4. So yesterday I received (for free, mind you) a PS2 Network adaptor and an 80gb Seagate HDD. The reason I want something like this for my PS2 phat is as follows -Possibly hook up to the internet (just for fun) -Reduce loading times on games that utilize the HDD -(Main Reason) Get rid of memory cards by using HDD for file storage. So when I fully cleaned and installed the network adaptor and HDD and inserted it into the system, nothing happened when I booted it up. All menues looked the same and I couldn't access the HDD My questions thus far are: -If i use and HDD compatible game, will the system recognize this and prompt for a file install? -Do I need the Sony HDD Utility Disk in order to use the device as a storage manager? -Because my HDD isn't showing up, is it broken or am I doing something wrong? -Wikipedia says "Final Fantasy XI is the only North American game truly dependent on the HDD as it requires various patches and upgrades from Square Enix." How would one get those patches now? Is the game unplayable unless you downloaded them back when they were available? Thanks!!
  5. I apologize for the multiple posts, but I have removed the HDD game list from my post to comply with forum rules. This post is for the sale of the system and accessories as described below. I am selling my "fully loaded" fat Sony Playstation 2 console in excellent condition. It includes the following: Mod chip installed (Matrix Infinity) 32 MB Katana memory card with Free McBoot installed 500 GB Internal Seagate Barracuda HDD 8 GB Flash drive for roms Network adapter 2 official PS2 DualShock controllers 2 controller extension cables PS2 headset PS2 DVD Remote and receiver AV cables Power cable Here is a link to my album showing all included items and images are also attached to this post. http://imgur.com/gallery/Zc4gu The system has been tested and works perfectly. It comes from a smoke free home and is in very good cosmetic condition as well. The controllers both work well with no stuck or sticky buttons, but they do show signs of use over many years. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for details of what is installed on the HDD. Asking price is $195 shipped within the USA. PM me if you are interested or have any questions. Thank you!
