35 Years, 9 Months and 16 Days in the Life Of...
I found this at a thrift store for $12. It has VGA in and out. Plugging my iigs straight into an ex 1970vx lcd screen yielded no picture, but when I plug it through this thingy the picture is near-perfect. (far better than the GBS board I used prior.) I believe it has something to do with cleaning or amplifying the sync signal, I think it is meant for long cable runs.
So, i've just obtained a nice tested and repaired base model apple IIgs on ebay for $55.00 free shipping (haven't gotten it yet). I did some research on converting RGB to VGA which lead me to this site http://carnationsoftware.com/carnation/RSS/Apple_II/Apple_IIgs_Monitor.html. Now I only need a keyboard, mouse, and a way to load data. I've came across some modern hard drive replacements. But they're very expensive. I've also came across some ADT-PRO adaptors like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/232006005066?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT on ebay. I've also happened to stumble upon a scsi2sd adaptor. Not sure if it'll work or not though. Are there any other options i'm not aware of? Do i have just about everything i need?

So here's the deal, I think Some of the IIgs disks were non-functional, but it's been a long time since I've checked... the CD's are all good, and No idea about the Amiga title which is sealed-in-box still or the loose disk either.
