I have a new NEW Nintendo 3DS XL that I bought new a few years ago and love the damn thing! To get to the Micro SD card, I have to undo 2 screws on the back and plan on doing it based on the answers I get here... With the image sharing service now off lone, I need to know which folder my pictures are saved in? So I can review and remove them. And also I want to throw a few .mp3 files on it to listen to when I get bored. What type must they be and into which folder do I put them in? Any help would be helped tremendously!! oh and I have a 512GB micro SD card so even with all of my games, I still have plenty of space left Thank all of the Atari members!

Works on all models. Best performance is on a New 3DS when running emulators or homebrew games.

Hi everyone! I recently started getting loose Nintendo DS and 3DS carts for my collection. Not only have I found loose carts to be extremely cheap where I live, but I also realized that I have access to games that I would never get CIB. I used to be obsessed about getting CIB copies (especially for DS and 3DS games), they tend to be hard to store, easy to lose if you're not careful and it's hard to display those games properly. So I was wondering if anyone out there was having a similar problem and maybe found a way to display DS and 3DS carts in a way that looks cool or at least different. I was searching online and most of the solutions require you to get 3D-printed stands that are usually expensive and I would need to pay international shipping for them. At the moment, I'm using a case that was made to store small screws and that can hold a bunch of DS games, but it doesn't look great. What do you think? Thanks in advance!

I read an article that said that Nintendo is closing the eShop in my region (https://www.vidaextra.com/wii-u/eshop-wii-u-3ds-42-paises-latinoamerica-caribe-cerrara-para-siempre-a-finales-julio). That includes the ability to download digital games, exchange codes and update games. That last one really sucks, since there are a bunch of titles that have significant updates. By any chance, is there a complete list of 3DS games that have patches? I know I'm getting a couple of 3DS games before July 31st (that's the date when Nintendo is closing the eShop apparently) and I might as well try to get games with their respective patches. Some popular games like Pokemon, which I already own, have sizeable patches that feature a bunch of improvements, so which other titles have updates available for them? Is there any way to download those patches without buying the game first? For instance, I know I'm getting Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS at some point, so I can get the patch before it's taken down. Since I brought Super Smash, any DLC worth getting before it's no longer available? Thanks in advance and I really appreciate anyone who replies as soon as possible since time is really ticking down on this one.

One of my favorite parts about playing Pokemon HeartGold on the Nintendo DS was the game's post content. More specifically, I'm referring to the number of legendaries you could catch. Over the past few years, I sort of lost track of Pokemon games and since I played HeartGold to death, I didn't feel the need to play another one of those. That said, I really want to get back into the series, so I recently got Ultra Sun and I just started playing Alpha Sapphire. My question is simple, but I can't really find a straight answer: which Pokemon game has the most number of legendaries. I know some of the latest Pokemon games have a ton of legendaries, but you can only get one of two per version and you need both of those to get a third or something awfully specific like that. What I was wondering is, which game has the most legendaries if you only play one version and you do no trading at all. If my memory serves me right, HeartGold had Mewtwo, the three dogs, the three birds, Lugia and Ho-Oh and more, I want more of that and I was wondering if I'm going to be disappointed with Alpha Sapphire and Ultra Sun. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, I just got a used copy of Pokemon: Alpha Sapphire for the Nintendo 3DS and when I launch the game it's in Spanish. Thing is, everything in the game is in English (box, cart, manuals, AR cards and so on.) In fact, the cartridge is for US 3DS consoles and mine's from over there. I assume I need to delete the save that's in there and maybe I get the option to select a language from withing the game? Or maybe the game's in Spanish and I'm stuck with it until I'm done with it? I have no idea, so if anyone knows the answer to this question, I'd really appreciate it since it would save me a ton of time. Thanks!

I recently brought my PSP to a family reunion with a copy of Monster Hunter Freedom 2. Long story short as soon as I got there, the battery died on me and there wasn't any monster hunting that evening. So I did some research online to see a comparison between the battery life from all the portable consoles and realized that the 3DS (which I own and also has a bunch of Monster Hunter games) has a better battery life. I also found out that there's something called "MUGEN extended battery" which is an accessory that has almost four times the charge of a regular battery. What I couldn't find though was people selling them or any alternatives I can get. So does anyone have any experience with these? I want to know where can I get them, how much are they or if there's anything similar in case they are rare or discontinued? Any other accessories worth getting? By the way, I own a 3DS XL. Thanks! Here's a video for reference -

Long story short, I just got a Nintendo 3DS super cheap (the 3DS XL to be more specific,) but since I have little to no experience with the portable console I need some game suggestions. Here are some of the games on my list and I intend to get one game a month. Also, I attached a few questions for each entry in case there's something better on other platform I should get instead. Does anyone have any experience with the games below willing to give me a hand? Monster Hunter: Generations - I own Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite for the PSP and although I intended to play that game for dozens of hours, the fact that the game's on a UMD draining the battery all the time and the long loading times drove me insane. As far as I know, Generations for the 3DS is a sort of "Greatest Hits" and there's an online mode in case I want to play with other people. I also looked at Monster Hunter 4: Ultimate, but most people said Generations was better in pretty much every aspect. Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo 3DS - I love Super Smash Bros. in general and the only thing keeping me from buying this as soon as possible is the fact that I don't know anyone who has a 3DS and a copy of the game to play with. Is the single-player portion of the game fun at all? Is the online community still playing this game? Pokemon: Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon - I have to have at least one Pokemon game. Ultra Sun and Moon are the latest ones and all the reviews I read and watched said those games are amazing. Which version should I get? Should I go with Ultra Sun and Moon or are older Pokemon games any better? Just for reference, the last Pokemon game I played was Heartgold which I loved and played for more than 100 hours. I don't do that very often. Dragon Quest IX - I know this is probably cheating because DQIX is a Nintendo DS game, but I loved Dragon Quest VIII and I've always wanted to play IX. I know the game had an online component that's no longer accessible, but I hear the single-player campaign is awesome and I've been looking for an epic JRPG for quite some time. Has anyone played the game? The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D/Majora's Mask 3D - I don't think I've ever finished a Zelda game before and I intend to change that in the near future. I heard both Ocarina and Majora's Mask are fantastic, but since they are older games I was wondering if they hold up at all. Another option should be getting Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword for the Wii instead, but I don't know how those games compare to Ocarina and Majora. Can anyone help me???? Thanks in advance and I appreciate the help!

I got a 3DS XL a few days ago for about half the usual price and I'm super happy with my purchase. Thing is, I have no games to play on the console yet. I was looking to buy some games online and found a store that sells used 3DS Pokemon games for not that much money. I really want to play those games, but I also want them for my collection. Since the asking price wasn't that high I asked if the carts were pirated and the guy said 3DS pirated carts don't exist. Has anyone here had any experience with pirated carts on the 3DS? If they do exist, how do I spot them? Will Metal Jesus' video guide to detect them will work for 3DS games or only for DS ones? I can ask for pictures of the carts and I can post them here if you want, but I really don't want to spend my hard earned money on something that's going to look really bad on my collection.

Like it says on the tin, I was wondering what games sold you on dropping the big $$$ for a home console or handheld this generation? Were there any system exclusive titles that made you just have to run out and buy the hardware to play them on? Personally the only modern system I own at the moment is a New 3DS XL, which I wanted mainly to play Star Fox 64 3D, Resident Evil Revelations, and Pokémon Ultra Sun. I have been contemplating getting either a Nintendo Switch or an Xbox One S later this year though, mostly just to play DOOM. Right now the only system exclusive game I'm really interested in for current gen home consoles is Super Lucky's Tale (and I suppose The Last Guardian, though not quite enough to make me want to spend the money on a PS4) so whether I end up with a Switch or an Xbox One S will probably just come down to adorable foxy platforming versus having the option to play games on the go. It won't be an easy choice.
