Hello, Everyone! I spent roughly two weeks completely reconstructing every single Atarisoft box front, as I needed them for my own purposes (I have a smart home system that contains media functionality), and thought they might be of use to everyone else! I had to go through and carefully match the fonts against my font books (from when I did professional fontography and typography layout), and carefully match colors to Pantone against the real boxes that I could find of each type. I think I've done reasonably well, at least they are all consistent. There were many Atarisoft titles which did not have official releases, so I had to make new box art for them, and using the same pattern as the existing ones, I took the illustrations from Atari's existing catalogue, in all cases. I hope you guys like these, They are here: http://imgur.com/a/vlhGF And I'll post a few samples in this thread: Enjoy, Let me know what you think! -Thom

Hi everyone! So I had a company draw up a quote about creating reproduction cartridges. While the cartridges themselves are dirt cheap (about 50 cents/piece), the mould and shipping is what makes it come to (roughly) $5k for 1000 pieces. Is there any interest in me going forward with this? Ideally, I'd increase the run to 2000 or more but I would really need to be sure I can sell them :-) Thoughts? -Mux

Hey there everyone! After taking a few weeks to evaluate my gaming hobby and where I want to put my collecting focus in the future I've decided that it's time to liquidate my Atari 2600 collection to bring in a little cash and help me focus my collecting efforts over the next year on the systems I really love the most: Nintendo handhelds and the GameCube. I will be a little sad to see all this Atari stuff that I've spent so much time and money collecting go, but honestly I just don't really play them anymore and I'd rather they go to good homes that will use and appreciate them more. This is only my third sales thread here on AtariAge, so to give you a reference for my reliability as a seller, you can see all the feedback I've received from selling games and related accessories on eBay over the last half a dozen or so years here: http://www.ebay.com/usr/hanz0d0g Before we get down to business, here's the usual info: All prices listed below are firm and do not include shipping costs. Reggie brings over a stack of NES & SNES home-brews, reproductions & hacked games including one that stars him! These games are very cool and created in limited numbers by fans. Games Shown: Star Fox 2 (SNES) Clock Tower (SNES) Moon Crystal (NES) Fix-it Felix jr (Genesis) Magical Pop’n (SNES) Megaman & Bass (SNES) BS ShockMan (SNES) Zelda The Legend of Link (NES) Flying Hero (SNES) Reggie’s Radical Adventures (NES) Is there a re-production scene for Atari 2600 games? Seems like a fan-made version of Air Raid would be a popular seller... I'd consider buying one...

Everyone Knows That Owning a Copy of Air Raid is Every 2600 Collectors Dream! Vidiot Games is checking interest in producing reproduction Air Raid Cartridges. They will obviously be Atari black carts because of the cost involved in making Air Raid Shells. It will have new (and better looking IMO) Art work! Our First Run will be 20 Cartridges. Go ahead and throw any questions at us if you would like. Message us if you would like to reserve a copy and you will be put on the list. Thanks The Vidiot Games Team!!
