This has been packed and shipped and on its way to a new home. Texas Instruments Omni 800 Model 840 printer for free! Formerly owned (and probably used at work) by a TI employee here in Houston. It even comes with TI work product! I have not tested the printer at all so I make no claims on its work ability. Local pickup is preferred but I'm willing to ship if there is no local interest and you want to pay the shipping. It's already packed well in the original box which is 29"x23"x14" and about 32# I can't keep this around any longer and need to get rid of it. If I can't find any takers then it will sadly have to go to the recycler.
Well as I had said in a previous post in a lot of TI 99/4a games I purchased Ms. Pacman showed up dead! After exhausting all of my resources to save her I finally pronounced her dead. But there is good news in this story Ms. Pacman was an organ donor! Last weekend I had built a joystick splitter to use my Atari sticks on my 99/4a. I needed a case to put it in and Ms. Pacman was just perfect. The joystick splitter is a Y adapter and the profile of Atarisoft games for the 99/4a is practically a Y. So I wanted to show this off because it was in many ways inspired by the creativity of others that I have seen on the web and my hope is that this may too inspire someone. Now I can use an Atari stick while playing with Pacmans crackhead cousin Munchman!
EDITED TO ADD: These are all sold! Thanks to everyone who responded! Merry Christmas! ************************ Hi everybody, A friend of the family passed away recently and while cleaning out his shed we found seven Texas Instruments TI-99a that were out of the box, and one that was in the box and looks rather new. Also a bunch of cartridges and some books. And a few cassettes. No joysticks though. We might have had floppy drives and such, but they were not labeled and several boxes of old 5.25 floppies and drives were donated to the local Goodwill. The one in the box has the cords, but we only found three other power cords. Again, there may have been some that got donated. Is anyone interested in buying the whole lot? I've taken some pictures and will attach them. Or should the we stick them on ebay? I figure y'all will most likely use them. I have no way to test them, my tv is newer and does not have rca jacks on it. Thanks! -Mike "gandalf23"
