Selling a Tele-games Atari 2600 6 switch sold via Sears model 637.9943. System is in great condition and comes with AC adapter and RadioShack TV antenna switch. Two paddles and joysticks as well. New poster here. I did a search, but couldn't find an answer, so I'll just ask. Is anyone familiar with the different bezel variations on the telegames consoles? I just noticed that my light sixer made in Sunnyvale has an orange bezel, but my light sixer made in Taiwan has a silver bezel. Is this common? Are there any other variations out there I should look for? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

9 Telegames, not much to tell... Got kungfu superkicks in box and manual very cheap voor 'bout £10 and also got fantastic voyage extra. Maybe one of the best bargains ever on eBay...

As highlighted here and to pick up on what was first mentioned in this thread posting, I recently acquired one of these controllers and wanted to offer up my findings and brief review. First and foremost, the controller is not only "Quick Fire" when the switch is in the "on" position, it is also continuous. If you hold down the (wired for 7800 two independent functioning) fire buttons, the controller will continue firing as if you were smashing the original Atari 7800 joystick buttons in a non-stop fast action pace. Although not in possession of one, it is presumed the no longer manufactured Best Joystick CX34 (Thanks, Mitch) works in the same manner. The only difference between the two, is likely just the label of "Quick" for the Telegames controller, and "Auto" for the Best controller, concerning the buttons functionality switch. The joystick 'moves less digital' than the original 7800 joysticks and reminiscent of the NES Advantage joystick movement (Almost analogue-ish); however, it certainly does not behave that way in action while playing. It has quick accurate response, even under some of the most trying conditions of a fast-speed Ms. Pac-Man game. The downside is the joystick shaft appears as long as the original, so a similar amount of torque is present. The other item worth mentioning is the plastics utilized feels a tad bit less solid than the stock controllers. The base of the controller wrapped in my palm did not feel as 'thick' as the original 7800 joysticks. Regardless, despite hand positioning being the same to the original 7800 joystick controllers, the quick fire feature is a huge plus in reducing fatigue for games requiring constant button pressing. Those interested in such a feature while wanting to retain a similar stock/original controller design of the NTSC 7800 system, this may be the controller for you. It is also worth mentioning the buttons themselves are mounted and work better than the stock 7800 joystick even with the quick fire feature turned off.

Just as the title states, what are your favorite/top pong consoles? I ask this, for I have been ever increasingly interested in purchasing a pong console- and while an Atari branded one is nice in terms of "authenticness", there are a vast amount of other consoles varying from look, design, games etc. As pong museum says, "and the ball was square . . ." haha

A while ago, I posted about wanting one of the Tele-Games branded system organizers. Finally managed to get one locally! And it came with a Tele-Games Sears Video Arcade (aka: Atari Heavy Sixer.) Much nicer presentation in my living room now: It's sitting on an antique dresser that has lived in our living room for a while, while we remodel the spare bedroom. Whenever we get that bedroom finished (which has taken quite a bit longer than we planned,) I'll get a nice "bookshelf on top of a table" to put there, and have all the boxed games on the shelving behind the main unit. Right now, most of the boxed games are in the storage bin, with a few behind. The cartridge storage under the Intellivision is perfect - I only have three loose games that didn't fit in proper slots, and they fit in the space "behind" the proper slots.

I was pointed in the direction of this forum by some good folks over on Reddit. I have come into the possession of what seems to be a PAL release of Star Strike by Telegames. I have not been able to get much information about it, other than a few mentions, and its appearance in a few databases. http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-star-strike_7809.html and http://www.completeroms.com/dl/atari-2600/star-strike-telegames-pal-/1760 I've been provided with a little more information about Telegames and how they came to license the game, but putting a value on it has proven very difficult. There are no eBay listings that I have been able to find, let alone a finished auction. I am aware this game -even though, perhaps rare - might not necessarily be that valuable. I'm not an Atari collector, my preference lies with the PC and PS1/2 consoles for now, so this game would probably be part of a trade in the future. https://imgur.com/a/1XhNZel Thanks for your time.

I am looking to add primal rage to my collection shortly. It is VERY expensive for the Jaguar CD, and is best played with the pro controllers. Because of this I've been thinking of snagging it on another platform possibly. I was thinking the 32x edition might compare more favorably than the SNES/Genesis ports. Also Genesis 6 button controllers are easier to come by, and I don't feel bad tearing them up with fighting games, whereas I'd be more apt to not use Pro Controllers for a fighting game that will put lots of hard use on them. What are your thoughts on the 32x Primal Rage vs the Jaguar CD game? Any other ports I should be considering that are good adaptations of the arcade game? Thanks. Hey everybody. Does anybody happen to know how much a Glacier Patrol cart on the 2600 is worth? Loose of course. I can't find any information about it online except that it is a rarity 8 cart. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I just acquired my first Telegames game - Quest for Quintana Roo. I had real difficulty inserting it into my 2600 (4-switch woody). It wasn't just a snug fit like some of the red box Atari games, this was like coming up against a wall. I tried different angles and had to use some force until it finally worked and I was able to play the game. However, when I removed the game there was a loud snap as a chunk of plastic from somewhere inside the cartridge broke off and I had to fish it out of the catridge slot. I thought that that might have been the problem, but since then I haven't been able to reinsert the cartridge, and I certainly don't want to damage my Atari trying. I compared my cartridge with the cartridge scan here on AA, and it is identical, including that strange upside down end label. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this a known issue with Telegames cartridges or is mine just a production error?

I just bought a sears telegames off ebay, and only the button works on the paddle controllers. Turning the wheel does nothing at all. I have tested these on a standard 4 switch 2600 and they work fine. It works fine with normal controllers though

Hey folks, I have recently gotten my Telegames out of storage and we are trying to breathe life back into it. I got it for Christmas in 1977 and spent many, many hours with it as a kid (hey, I was an only child!). Unfortunately, all we get when turning it on is a black screen. Here's what we've tried and checked: -Multiple cartridges, same behavior -Multiple TVs, same behavior -Cleaned cartridge slot with alcohol; contacts look good and shiny -Tested voltage at regulator, comes out at 4.96 -Tested voltage at RF unit, comes out at about 4.96 as well That being said, what next steps do you recommend on fixing my friend? It was known working between 10-15 years ago, so I'm hoping this is something we can patch up. Thanks so much. *Edit - Actually, I think this is a light sixer Telegames, not a heavy. Changed the title to properly reflect the fact.
