  1. OK, as I do not have enough stress at hand at the company, getting married tomorrow, expect a baby beginning August and already having Archon being developed by very trusted hands for the ColecoVision, I'm now officially looking for programmer(s) for Phoenix and Vanguard for the ColecoVision and possibly the Intellivision too. Please only by PM. Please see also http://atariage.com/forums/topic/226171-phoenix-vanguard-programmers-wanted/
  2. Hi, I'm just wondering if anyone out there can explain 2 quirky issues that surfaced while playing my 5200 (2-port version). 1st - I just got the Moon Patrol cart. It starts fine and plays fine for about 30 seconds. Then some of the screen objects become pixelated and rocks appear without warning on the game screen. If I lose 1 life, the game ends and takes me back to the level select screen. Each time I play, something different happens that shouldn't in the game. I verified what should happen with a rom on my pc. Is the cartridge defective? Is this a known problem with 5200 games? Can the cart be opened to clean or repair? 2nd - When playing Vanguard; the game plays perfect until the final boss. If I die on the boss stage, the game starts me on the level 2 quest of vanguard. It plays for 10 seconds, then the game freezes and the 5200 must be turned off. I have the official version of the game - not the prototype. Is this a bug in some Vanguard carts? Is this a defective cart? I just wanted to shout out and see if there are any 5200 experts that explain this. thanks Dan
  3. I recently won a Colecovision press kit on EBay, and it had the CV prototype on the folder's cover. The date on it is 1982. I own other press kits, and have never seen this particular press kit before, and thought I would share some of the inserts. Unfortunately the cover shows a little wear, and someone initialed it, but otherwise it is in decent condition. It came with 15 inserts all in great shape. The flyers contain the usual first releases and vapor ware, but four games caught my eye. I never knew that initially Coleco had plans to release Vanguard, Phoenix, and Challenger from Centuri for the CV. There's also flyers showing these 3 games being released for Intellivision and the 2600. In all of the discussions about vaporware, I'm sure that it came up, I just don't remember it. And on one flyer containing strategy games they show a mock up of "Dimensional Puzzles." Who knows what that was going to turn out like. Anyway, if I am bringing up old news, sorry. But, here are some of the scans for those that have never seen them before.
  4. I want to purchase two games for a video game fan for a gift. They are on an auction site. - are they rare? (Or good?) One is Atari 2800 Vanguard but it says 2600 on the cartridge. The other one is Atari 2800 Realsports Volleyball - same thing for the cartridge. What is a fair price for these? Thank you.
