  3. Hi, Folks. I'm looking for a copy of Diablo III's strategy guide if you have one. I would prefer that it cover the expansion as well, but it's not necessary, but it should cover consoles. The guide should be in good shape with very little in the way of tears, writing, and dings. Up for trade is: Tales of Symphonia (Gamecube)-complete The game and case/manual are in good shape and tested. PM me if you have this for trade. Thanks for looking. Steve
  4. I could use some advice on the Xbox 360 power supply. Recently, I bought a "used" Xbox 360 E model with a power supply that seems fine as of this post. However, I've noticed in the last few days a slight "whine" from the unit and I was wondering if this is something to be concerned about or not? The power supply is performing fine otherwise, not overheating or anything like that, but the slight whine is noticeable after you power down and it's going through the end shut down sequence. Any thoughts on this? Most people around here have owned 360's far longer than me, so your advice would be appreciated if I need to think about replacing it or just let it slide.
  5. Hi again. I have a friend looking for a wireless Xbox 360 controller. Should be in good shape, no sticky buttons, etc. He's trading some games, and will get me a list soon. Otherwise, can you quote me a price on how much you'd sell a wireless controller for? Thanks! PM me if you've got a spare. Steve
  6. Hi All, So in the 9 years I have been gaming on my Xbox 360, I have gone through 20GB, 60GB and 250 GB hard drives, all of which have been lost to (or in the case of the 250, showing signs of) mechanical failure. I have spent a lot of time and money on the 360, I would say probably more so than any other of my consoles… I still have quite a backlog of games I intend to complete. However, as the sun sets on the 360, eventually things are going to start to get disconnected and who knows what will happen in terms of the DRM. I also like to revisit things I used to enjoy, a common thread on Atari Age, and I would like to be assured that, even if I can’t play multiplayer, to the best of my ability I would like to make sure I could power on the 360 in 10-20 years and play whatever I feel like. So this has got me thinking… at this point, I trust the longevity of SSD drives far more than I do standard platter drives… since we are now able to use external drives with partitions up to 2TB on the 360 and the One… would getting an SSD housed in an external enclosure be a better long term bet? Does anyone here have any experiences with this (or like ventures) that might provide some additional insight? Or any commentary at all? Thanks in advance, --silvahaloone

  14. Well, recently I picked up an arcade copy of Ms. Pac-man for my Xbox 360 through the Live marketplace. Despite it's "perfect" to the arcade, I still prefer the 2600 version over this one. Why? Probably the main reasons are: Easier in general Seems to play smoother than my Xbox version with the thumb sticks (joystick preferred) Slower pacing to the game at earlier levels So in this instance, the Atari 2600 version wins out (for me, anyway). Anyone else experience an Atari 2600 game that you prefer over the arcade version? Your experiences with Ms. Pac-man on the Atari 2600 versus some of the other versions you might have played either in the past or currently. Let me know which ones you like and why. I'm curious as to what versions of this great game people are playing these days.
  15. Well, I thought I'd post this picture today and spread the love: Found this at Gamestop the other day and had to get it. Unfortunately, since it was "used", it only came with one controller and no game. I'm assuming the guy that sold it to Gamestop kept one controller and the game for himself. However, it is in perfect working condition, no scratches/scuffs, and is a thing of beauty. This is now my preferred console of choice...and I have a lot of collecting to do for this system. This is the FIRST time I've had a custom (limited) edition console, and I am in nerd-heaven. My gaming bliss is full to capacity. Steve

  17. I just tried the new Sonic Generations demo and I really really enjoyed it. It's definitely a lot more optimized than the first one. It's got the classic view in HD or a new first person Sonic view to get you through the stage. I thought both were pretty cool and I think the game plays well. I played it on the 360. I don't see it out on PSN yet.
  18. Up for sale here is the Mad Catz Street Fighter IV Tournament Edition fight stick. Comes 100% complete with box, manaual, and headset adapter. I purchased this new from Capcom and used it maybe 5-10 hours max, so it's still in excellent shape. Asking $100 + ship.

  20. Hey guys, I am interested in buying a lot of gamecube games and or trading for them. I have a ton of SNES, PS3, Wii, DS, Xbox 360, and Vita games available for trade as well as an ambassador's 3ds and a dsi for offer. I sold my entire collection of my childhood gamecube games around 4 years ago but I want to repurchase a lot of the games I played during my childhood so I am interested in pretty much any game. I only kept pac man world 3 and super smash bros melee but I still need a new manual for melee if anyone has one. please message me with what you have thanks!

  22. Anyone planning on picking this up? I believe it drops on Wednesday. It's definitely a buy for me....I'm just not sure if I'm getting it upon it's release, or sometime after. It's actually a tough call for me. I had kind of wanted to finish Alan Wake, along with both DLCs, prior to buying AW:AN. However I've just finished The Signal Special, and I have Deus Ex: The Missing Link DLC already bought. So I thought that the fiscally prudent thing to do would be to play that and then buy/play The Writer Alan Wake DLC a bit later, and then by American Nightmare. But then again, since when are gamers always 'fiscally prudent'? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfY_7gahx5g&feature=player_embedded
  23. I was helping my friend move last week and I noticed he still had his two broken xbox 360s (both have the RROD). So he didn't want them and said I could have them to use for parts. A few years ago my cousin gave me his xbox 360 with the RROD and I ordered one of those xbox 360 RROD fix it kits. I installed it properly and the thing only worked for a month later before dying completely. I was wondering is there any "Real" way to fix the RROD that is fool proof? Or is it all just a shot in the dark. Because I was gonna try and repair them if it's actually possible. I saw this guide on Llamma's site: http://www.llamma.co...x-clamp_fix.htm It looks like a more permanent fix for but never tried that method before. Any suggestions? Also I'd imagine I could buy all the hardware at a local lowes or home depot....anyone know the size of screw and washers I would need? Thanks!
