Hi AtariAgers, I have of course Googled this concept and found a schematic, but I'd like some first-hand opinion please. Back in the day several companies sold small devices that could be installed inside the computer are and solder to the motherboard. Has anyone done this? I am looking for some pictures. Thank you. Cheers, KB
I found a copy of a text adventure I wrote for the ZX-81 way back in 1982. The copy is from a microcassette. I am not sure it is a good copy because I don't have a working ZX-81 to try it on. I digitized it the best I could and have here uploaded the wave file for anybody who is interested. The tape is marked "Space Adventure 1.3, (Fast)" I believe it had to be played in fast mode and that it requires at least 16K of RAM. If anybody gets it to work, please let me know.Space Adventure.mp3
Hi all, I'm not expecting positive results any time soon, but you never know what people have out there... Years ago, back in the day, my brother made a ZX-81 game, Kaboom!, basically a reworking of the Activision game. It used hi-resolution graphics helped out by some (revolutionary at the time) third party software. Unfortunately, it seems that through one too many moves or clean-ups, the source code has been lost (as well as any audio tape copies). He did send the software to a number of companies, however, they probably tossed them out many years ago. If anyone ever finds this game, please get hold of me, either by replying to this thread, or by sending me a PM. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
