OK, reality sucks, but I am giving in to the inevitable and putting a donation button on my ADAM page. Although last time I paid for hosting and domain registration, I signed up for three years, my package runs out in 2022 and I will have to come up with money to renew or just let the whole thing go. If you're feeling generous at any point, go there and find the DONATION button at www.sacnews.net/adamcomputer.

Complete ColecoVision Adam for sale - $265 CAD/$210 US + Shipping or Local Pick-up Tested today and working. Hardware includes printer, main console, keyboard, and one controller. Monitor is not included, however I will provide cable and instructions to connect (any monitor with composite video and audio in / separate speakers will work). Software includes Buck Rogers, SmartLogo (in box w/ manual) and Carnival cartridge. SmartLogo is a great introduction to programming for young learners! The printer works as a power supply and moves, however is no longer suitable for printing. The tape drive is working well.

This is a bit of a followup to a post I already made about a power supply I was working on. Anyway I was able to get the adam to run by just running my own wires to the db9 connector instead of using a serial cable. I now have the problem that the thing only runs if I hold down one of the reset switches and even then the picture is noisy, and the channel 3/4 switch seems to do nothing. If anyone knows what's going on here let me know please. I want my desk space back

So im attempting to make a psu for my adam. I bought one that somoneone on YouTube recommended and followed a pinnout I found. When I tried it I got a black screen with some static. Checked the voltages at the supply while plugged in to the adam and they seem normal. Checked the voltage at the end of the cable and they were the same. Checked the voltages on the other side of the connector inside of the adam and they were low (like 10v, 1.7v, -6v) not sure what's up if the connector is bad, checked a few of the pins on it and they didn't have high resistance. I don't know if this is normal or not or even if the computer works, so any help is appreciated.

A project I have been working on for the last two years is nearing completion i.e. my next book called 'Programming Games for the Colecovision and Adam in Assembler'. It includes a tutorial section working through the steps of creating a game, with a Z80 assembler primer and information on how to set up a cross development environment (similar but extended from my Let's Make a Retro Game series). It also includes a complete Colecovision BIOS reference guide, covering ALL of the jump table BIOS calls with explanations and examples for using each call. There are extensive memory and port maps, also with explanations etc. It will have a dedicated web site section where you can download the code (for lazy typers :)). The early pre-order link for the Kindle edition is available here. Cover is still a draft. Shortly after I have released the Kindle Edition, there will also be a physical print edition available on Amazon's print to order service, which I used for my last book and has been received well. It does have some colour screen shots and pictures in it, let me know how many people would be interested in a full colour edition, rather than a colour cover with black and white interior. The book is currently 90% complete, with the majority of the content completed, but I have about ten quality read through passes to do and need to tidy-up/check all the source code etc. I am aiming for a 1st August 2020 release date at this stage.

The Super Game Module is quite an interesting piece of gaming history indeed. Same can be said about the Adam. Both aimed to expand the capabilities of the Colecovision, but sadly, only the Adam got released, and with problems such as half of those sold being defective, the FRICKIN' POWER BUTTON BEING ON THE PRINTER, and arguably the introductory price. The original Super Game Module, however, didn't have half the issues that plagued the Adam, yet was ditched completely some time after it was announced, regardless of how ahead of its time it was. It was an add-on that attached directly into the expansion slot of the Colecovision(something which Expansion module #1 aka the VCS adapter did also) and played its own set of games that came in the form of metal and plastic wafers that could be seen as the precursor to the hucards used by the TG-16/PC Engine. Should Coleco have instead cancelled the Adam and embraced the Super Game Module?

I know there has to be utilities out there to transfer files from Windows into ADAMEm DSK images. Right? I've spent the better part of the last day trying to find such a utility and it is escaping me. The closest thing I can find is the block editor in VirtualAdam, but that's obviously not a solution. I'd even settle for solid documentation on the format of an EOS floppy so I can roll my own utility (I have a lot of experience with this stuff on the Commodore platform). So, someone slap me with a clue hammer and point me at the obvious utility I keep overlooking. Thanks! Payton

Hello! I've taken some time and import the ADAM News Network's EOS Programmers Guide to the ADAM Wiki (http://www.adamwiki.info) and have made many minor edits (mostly formatting and OCR errors). Please check it out: http://www.adamwiki.info/index.php?title=EOS_Programmers_Manual Payton

I’m just curious what everyone’s take is on the Video Game Authority. Does this add value to your Colecovision game collection, or is it a waste of time and money? I do not own any graded games, nor have I used this service. https://cgagrading.com/videogamegrader/

I am posting here rather than the For Sale area because I am in need of ColecoVision/ADAM enthusiasts. An expensive vacation has left me short of cash to renew domain registration and hosting for my ADAM Family Computer System web page which I've maintained for 22 years!!! As such, I'm selling off some of my ColecoVision games. Most require the SGM. All are $40 each plus shipping (U.S. shipping only, sorry). I need to raise $189.94 by the end of December. I'm listing 12 games, but as I only need to sell five. Once that goal is reached, the rest will be taken off sale. You can find the list and instructions here at the old site of my web page: http://www.sacnews.net/adamcomputer Thanks Joe Blenkle

Hi there, As some of you may know, I'm working closely with retroillucid to make that project happen. In order to make it the best way possible, we may turn to crowdfunding using Kickstarter as some other writers and publishers, successfully for most of them, did before us. However, we would like to know if you would support us in this endeavour. Just let us know by answering the poll. And don't hesitate to reply to this thread if you feel like it!

Hey everyone! As mentioned in the other topic, here is the Kickstarter link for our project with JF aka retroillucid about our book on Coleco Industries: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/booqc/coleco-the-complete-history Feel free to share it with your friends and community. I'll post the stretch goals soon, if we reach our goal of course. All prices are in Canadian Dollars. Let me know if you have any question. I'll be happy to answer them! Also, we will work on some updates to share them over the course of the campaign.

Now that I have a working disk manager, I want to start doing some Coleco ADAM Z80 Assembler for EOS. I've found an online IDE that looks perfect. Does anyone have an INC file that defines all of the entry points to the EOS public functions? Remember, sharing is caring. And BTW, this would be put on the ADAM Wiki for posterities' sake.
