Hi all, Someone asked about this, so I thought I'd make a quick video to show it off. This is my sio2pc setup that I recently put together. Here. Basically, a mini-itx mobo w/ i5 processor. 2 2600daptors(mounted inside case). dual-port sio2pc from atarimax(also mounted inside). running altirra and ape(registered). touch screen interface. pretty tight fit with the power supply and all... probably could have had plenty more room if I'd thought it out better in advance, but it runs cool enough.

Hello I'm rather new to this, and I was wanting a little help. I recently bought an Atari 800xl and 1050 because they were going cheap and I loved it and the software packaged. However, I soon bought a SIO2PC thinking I could get ATR images off internet and run them on atari. I bought the serial cable model, and a serial adapter (I thought my pc had a serial port, alas, only usb) but when running the APE it throws up the error "[device manager] rs232 driver failed to initialize (usb only mode enabled)". The drivers are correctly installed as far as I'm aware, it says the serial adapter is in COM port 4, I don't know if this makes a difference. Thanks for your time

Greetings, I have been trying to copy some disk images in ATR format via the APE and Prosystem PC applications, via SIO2PC (USB) and Atari 1050 drive. I know the drive and interface work because I've successfully loaded programs from both into my 800XL. The problem is, when I try to transfer the disk image to real floppy, the copy fails - I believe this is because all of the ATR images I'm finding online are double density (180kb), and my stock 1050 disk drive is only designed to read/write single density. Does this sound correct? And if so, is there any convenient way around this, aside from upgrading my 1050 to read/write double density? I'd be content to just load files from the emulated drives available via APE and the SIO2PC interface, but the interface is on loan from a friend so I'd like to get some disks made before returning it. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I have created another video as I love doing doing this, this one for Atari Max, who is next on my free video creation kick? Shall we promote Atari BBS's in my next video, I need some actual screens from the BBSs that are up and running , maybe an AtariAge video would be appropriate , how about it admin? I can do anything in a video, as you can see... Russ AtariMax Video
