  1. I am working on a single 16mb SDX ATR with all the Antic magazine disks. I already have the disks in the ATR and I am now trying to incorporate text versions of all the Antic articles into the same ATR. I removed the files that were repeated on every disk, like MENU.BAS, DOS.SYS, DUP.SYS, AUTORUN.SYS, HELP! ETC ETC. I have the articles done for first issue 1982 through June 1983. Getting the software all moved over and sorted into separate directories took about 6-7 hours. The Articles are taking quite a bit more time to copy, paste, convert and import, these will take awhile....... Would anyone else besides myself be interested in something like this? I do plan to tweak the MENU.BAS, adding changing directories and a basic search function. I hope to also do one for ANALOG and others once this one is finished. Best Regards Robert
  2. Hello World! Four years have passed after the last release of Fading Twilight. I did mention this for a long time but finally I did move my ass to finish off the FADING TWILIGHT DUAL LAYER DVD edition (no excerpts!). The last few month were full of pretty much work. Who really knows if the result is perfect but I think it's an amazing effort for over 13 years of work. You should read my DIARY to get a slight feeling how much work I put into it. Some Facts: -The archive features over 11000 tunes in many different formats -We feature over 360 musicians from all over the planet -More than 200 tools for all the major platforms (Atari, Amiga, Windows, Mac, Linux) -Nearly all modules size-optimised (That means I removed unused Samples and Instruments) -OVER 13 (THIRTEEN) YEARS OF WORK! -A very nice ST 96k-tro in cooperation with Britelite and Bracket from RAVE NETWORK OVERSCAN (RNO) http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=60821 http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=60867
  3. Hey Everyone, (First off-- apologies if this is obviously covered in another post-- I didn't find anything conclusive with search.) Is there an organized effort to archive ST software similar to Farb's project for the 8-bits? https://atariage.com/forums/topic/234684-atari-8-bit-software-preservation-initiative I'm curious is there's anyone that's done a significant amount of ST disk dumping with either SuperCard Pro or Kryoflux and if there's already been discussion on preferred software to use, settings, formats, etc. (And/or if there's any alternate tools like 'a8rawconv' tailored for ST use?) If this is all documented somewhere, please feel free to tell me to RTFM and just post a link. Thanks, -Clay

  5. A friend of mine recently got an 800 that was used for a few hours (if at all) and then packed away and stored in a basement for nearly 35 years. The owner recently passed away and many unused (?) computer products were found. Presumably he was a computer hoarder. The machine does work. I took these photos on the 8th of March 2018. In one photo the color can be compared with a yellowed 800. In the spirit of appreciating the beauty of the 800 and sharing here on the forums, I am granting limited rights use of the photos. You may use them freely for personal non commercial use and for archiving and for free use here on the forum. They may not be used them for commercial or monetary gain. The photos may be used at Atari gatherings for non monetary purposes. I retain all other copyrights to the images besides the limited rights granted here. The machine is date coded 203 (20th week of '83) so it is one of the last made.
