  1. I am using DOSBOX to emulate DOS but after having the assembly code and dasm.exe file in the same directory, going to the directory in DOSBOX, then trying to enter "dasm mygame.asm -f3 -omygame.bin" i get an "Illegal command: dasm." PLEASE HELP!!
  2. This thread is asleep for now. I'll wake it up at a later time. Well this an odd start. I don't have an Atari 5200 but I'm looking for the Wico Command Control Joystick and the Keypad that goes with it. I would hate to get an Atari 5200 with an official controller and try to refurbish the controller myself. Also, the fire buttons seem too much like the 7800 controller which can give you a severe hand cramp. I know these aren't exactly the cheapest controller to purchase. So I welcome any reasonable offer. Below is a picture of what I'm looking for: I'm also looking for a 2 port system here: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/245575-wanted-atari-5200-2-port-s-video-and-composite-modded/
  3. Hello all. I've been hunting for these CIB for-bloody-ever so I thought I'd check here. I do not care about what region it is! So, what I'm looking for is a big box version of both. I do want a disc and or a jewel case+insert+disc too, but I really want the big box release. At this point I'll take almost anything I can get. Especially with Star Command: Gold since this seems to be lost to history as there is no information on it I can find. Even wikipedia has nothing about it. I wonder if the Gold version was a disc only pack-in for something and that's why I've never seen any CIB materials for it. I'm half tempted to locate any contact from either Metropolis Digital or GT Interactive to see if they can help me out with some info on the Gold release. This is my second favorite RTS of all time behind StarCraft so I'd love to be able to get all releases. I already have my original big box Star Command: Revolution and another big box of it new/sealed. I've attached the only decent pictures I could find of these for reference.
  4. Hello, I'm hoping this is the right section because I found this little interesting thing that I think is for TI computers, and I'd like a little info on it. Here's a picture... I am under the impression that this is an adapter for TI computers, and looking for a little backup on that. From what I can tell, it looks like all it does is pull some pins from each controller and route them to other pins in a different, combined configuration. Not owning a TI computer, I'm not sure it has any use to me. I might sell it, but with something this old and dirty who knows if it works. I'd appreciate any info on this thing so I can make a more educated decision, and I'd really like to know if there's any way to safely test this thing, see if it's still working. I had a thought to test it on an Atari 2600, but I wouldn't want to risk shorting anything unless I was certain it would be harmless.
  5. Since some of us collectors are now getting a chance to use computing platforms that we didn't really get much hands-on exposure to way back when, it would be nice if there were "top 20 commands" guides for the various retro-computers. These are great ways to distill the information you'd normally see in a book, down to a page or two. Examples include: http://www.blitter.com/~nebulous/coco.html http://www.blitter.com/~nebulous/amiga.html http://www.blitter.com/~nebulous/msdos.html http://www.oldsoftware.com/Commtips.html (a bit wordy, but still cool) Does anyone have or know of anything like this for other machines? Atari, Apple II, Vic 20, NEC PC-88, TI-99/4A, TRS-80 Model series, Commodore PET, Adam, MSX, etc...
