1. For those who remember the Titan Overdrive demo, Oerg866 and company have made a follow-up: This can be downloaded at Pouet.net if you want to run this on a real Genesis/Mega Drive. I am also throwing in the original Overdrive demo here in case anyone missed it. We should not only thank Oerg866, but perhaps convince him and the rest of the Titan team to make an actual game.
2. A little text scroller intro thingy I threw together at Evoke in Köln (http://www.evoke.eu/2012/). Placed 9th / 12, which is OK considering the fierce competition. http://www.pouet.net...php?which=59703
3. Hey guys, here's another demo from yours truly. This time it's an invitation for the SillyVenture demoparty in Gdansk, Poland. I think JAC and SvOlli are going. I'm still researching travel methods that aren't > 500€ though :\ http://www.pouet.net...php?which=60612 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24L9ShTwzIQ sv2k12.bin
4. Several months passed since my previous post, so there is my another production for TI - 1kb intro with speech (and with BUG, of course ) Pouet: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=67674 Asm source: https://github.com/petersobolev/speechtro
5. Several months ago somebody asked here is where a demoscene on TI-99? Nobody accepted it (and personally I couldn't find any demoscene prod for TI). So, now it is: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=67103 Coded in assembler (using XAS99), also used Tursi player for music (exported from mod2psg, compressed with vcomp) and Convert9918/Magellan to prepare graphics. Required 32k expansion and disk drive (nanopeb is ok)
6. Hello World! Four years have passed after the last release of Fading Twilight. I did mention this for a long time but finally I did move my ass to finish off the FADING TWILIGHT DUAL LAYER DVD edition (no excerpts!). The last few month were full of pretty much work. Who really knows if the result is perfect but I think it's an amazing effort for over 13 years of work. You should read my DIARY to get a slight feeling how much work I put into it. Some Facts: -The archive features over 11000 tunes in many different formats -We feature over 360 musicians from all over the planet -More than 200 tools for all the major platforms (Atari, Amiga, Windows, Mac, Linux) -Nearly all modules size-optimised (That means I removed unused Samples and Instruments) -OVER 13 (THIRTEEN) YEARS OF WORK! -A very nice ST 96k-tro in cooperation with Britelite and Bracket from RAVE NETWORK OVERSCAN (RNO) http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=60821 http://pouet.net/prod.php?which=60867
7. Hi all, I've recently finished a demo on the Atari 2600 and thought I'd share (see attachment) This is IOCaste. It runs in PAL but works fine in Stella. Doesn't seem to do anything in Z26 though, not sure why. Since most of you are probably in NTSC land you can watch on Youtube, captured from real hardware. Enjoy. Cheers, Krion iocaste.bin
8. Hi there, the next attempt is on Kickstarter now. If you are an old scener, gamer or just an admirer of the Atari ST demoscene, come by and visit my campaign at: http://kck.st/2jNMse1 I have tons of new informations on the timespan between 1991–1993/94. It’s not exactly determined where the book will end. But I know you will be very surprised that I got another batch of secretive insights from industry guru Marc Rosocha. Other than that this volume will be the heart of the series, with actually over 30 persons take part with their memories. It will be so condensed that if it would be a zip-file and you unpack it, you suddenly would lying on the ground – buried under a wagonload of pages. Volume 2 is called BEYOND THE BORDERS and goes beyond – in every aspect. This volume not only presents some of the best artistic works on Atari’s 16-bit computers, but also gives the readers a chance to experience the downfall of the home computer industry from an Atari perspective. Come over to just have a look! Best regards, Marco
9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hJ2n-9oPa0 Check out a working prototype of a new music cartridge from my band Burnkit2600! Written on/with tools by Paul Slocum and Ctrix, it features two stella-ized versions of songs from their "Duke Dubious Digital Dub Selector" album. It'll be a follow up to our 2003 cartridge release for Wepaons of Past Distractions. that's here: http://sounds.burnki...st-distractions
10. Hi guys! If you are not aware of our Retro art book on the Atari ST creative culture, please hurry up to join us on Kickstarter: http://kck.st/21I7feE You can be the critical mass to reach our goals on the 6th June. In the last week some things went positive, some not. Marketing such a campaign is not easy. We constantly work on press releases. So, since the beginning on 6th May we have been covered by: Magazines: - Retro (german) - Return (german) - ST-Computer (german) - Pixelnostalgie (german) - Kultboy (german) - Retrogamesmaster (english) - Indie Retro News (english) - Retro Video Games (english) - Retrogaming History (italian) . Retrokomp (polish) - Atari Crypt (english) - Blue's News (english) - 8-bit Central (english) Forums: - Atari-Forum - Atari-Home.de - Demozoo - RetroCollect - Pouet - Nectarine - Atari Age - ST fanémule - Reddit - Atari.io - English Amiga Board I also produced a comprehensive audio podcast. Sorry for my weird english sometimes, I am coming from Germany. Have a listen on my Kickstarter campaign site, see below. Thank you for your support so far, I see you are interested in this unique story, but never have expected so much US-backers! This surprises me, as I thought this story is only a speciality for the europeans. Best Regards, Marco Breddin (Writer of the Atari ST Anthology)
11. My 256 bytes intro for Videopac, released last week at Chaos Constructions'2016 demo party (St.Petersburg, Russia) Source: https://github.com/petersobolev/rash Pouet: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=68024
12. My contribution to the Chaos Constructions'2017, tiny intro: ROM image, source code: http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=71620

14. The 7th apparently annual roundup of Holiday demos is now up on my blog. Those with a taste for the season and sharp pixels may enjoy the show. 16 demos across 13 platforms this year. A bracing Festivus to you all! http://www.bytecellar.com/2017/12/12/have-a-helping-of-8-bit-holiday-cheer-2017-edition/ Cheers! bp
15. I forgot to post this a while back. It's a 128 byte intro (demo) for the Atari 2600. It placed 2nd in the 128 byte competition at Outline 2012. It doesn't work correctly in Stella, so you need to use MESS (with the 4k ROM) or a real machine (via say Harmony). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s91ujoAgdkc Links: http://www.pouet.net...php?which=60483 - pouet page http://www.acc.umu.s...s/hectoByte.zip - release, including source code
