  1. Hi, Burning Disc is not dead. Final name about my Winjammers project for Colecovision is Wind Edge. 2. I had bought a Twin Famicom off of ebay a month or so ago. I had been waiting for a disk card game to come in for over a month from Japan. Today I hooked up the system, flipped the switch to the disk side, inserted the game. The system says loading but all I hear is a buzzing noise and the game never loads. Could the belt need to be changed? The cartridge games work fine. Any help would be appreciated.
  3. I still have the orig Playstation I purchased in 1996. It's worked quite well over the years. I modded it long ago. A year or so ago the occasional CD would not load or load slowly. I assumed drive was about to give up the ghost. Then the machine wouldn't spin at all and the display would flicker repeatedly. I assumed a PSU failure had taken place -- replace it with an eBay unit (with a blue LED) and that problem went away. But the CD-ROM drive problem got worse. Finally I couldn't load anything. It sounded like a spin issue. So, I bought a replacement new mechanism on eBay and installed it. I hear spinning and seeking, but the spinning doesn't last as long as it should and the seeking sounds stuttered -- as if it's having trouble focusing - not normal. So I looked and there was no other seller of such parts so I rolled the dice and purchased ANOTHER mechanism from the same guy and it's the same thing. Spinning that slows down -- I can hear like 5 spins per second before it stops, and it won't load anything. The seek sound sounds labored also. This is the unit and vendor I twice purchased for my SCPH-1001: https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-OPTICAL-LASER-LENS-MECHANISM-for-SONY-Playstation-SCPH-1001/360534474878 Does anyone have any advice here? For whatever reason I'd like to keep this unit working rather than buying a used, modded PS1. Thanks. bp
  4. So I was fortunate enough to come across a fully-functioning Sega-CD Model 1 out in the wild. It's also in pristine cosmetic shape with the exception that it's missing the plastic CD tray cover that has the Sega CD logo. Here's a picture of what I'm talking about: (The thing circled in red is the part I need) I was wondering, if any of you have a Model 1 SCD laying around that you're using for parts, or otherwise doesn't work, I would really like this piece of plastic that would complete my Sega CD. PM me if interested, we can discuss price. Will pay using Paypal only. Thank You!
  5. Good afternoon all, I have just picked up an old Phat PS2 PAL model. I am getting disc read errors on PS2 games, PS1 games and audio discs. I did briefly manage to get a PS2 game to load, but it eventually locked up on the title screen when left alone. I know the discs are all fine because I play them on another console that I have. I was just wondering what could be the cause of this and if its not too expensive I may attempt to repair/replace myself. Many thanks for your help!
  6. Hi, I've decided to sell my boxed Commodore 64C computer, and its matching disc drive, the 1541C. Both have boxes and manuals. The boxes show a little wear for their age, but are overall in very good condition. They have the booklets that originally came with them as well. Both have all the cords necessary to be hooked up as well. I have tested the Commodore 64. I have no games but I did play around with the initial start up options and made sure everything is working properly. The disc drive I can not test. According to the manual however, everything seems to be working perfectly. It makes the exact noises the manual says it will. It lights up just as the manual says it will. However, I do not have any games so I can not test it 100%. So that is everything, they are both boxed like I said, both have manauals and all their cords. The 64 works, the disc drive probably works but can not be fully tested. For a price, I'm not 100% certain of that these are worth. I can only go by offers I've had in the past and completed eBay listings. I'm going to start at $125 shipped or best offer. Please let me know if you're interested and we may be able to work out a deal. I'm also up for trades, but I'm mostly into NES, SNES, Genesis, 32x, Sega CD, Saturn and Gamecube. Please let me know. Take care, Tyler
  7. I've put a post up in the Marketplace as well here is the link with pictures, a description and all that: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/195554-fs-boxed-commodore-64c-and-boxed-disc-drive-1541c/ I figured I could post it here as well thinking maybe since you guys are more aimed at the classic computers that it might help it sell. Thanks!
