  1. Hello, (this is my first post). I recently purchased a copy of Doom. I noticed it was slightly different than the photo posted on Ebay and I'm confident it's not the one in the photo. I'm okay with that, but I want to make sure it's a real game. The box seemed a little shinier than other Jaguar boxes and I'm afriad it's a reproductions. I spent about $160 (CAN) on it so I really want it to be 100% original. Is there anything I can do to make sure it's original? Also, I was not able to test out the cartridge because I had a water leak and had to box up all my consoles while they replace the carpet.
  2. Hi everyone, I just wanted to give a heads up on a listing that this seller falsified the information on. I know they aren't super well liked anyways, but I know the information is fake as I sold them to them. I only sold to them as since they overvalue everything, I was able to get more than I would of from selling individually and quicker. Also, they resealed this Space Canyon, I know this as I only sold them my opened copy and that is the exact one they have in the picture. Basically all of the information is wrong on the listing. But hey, if you can make way too much from them, I'd say sell to them, but probably don't buy lol. Just wanted to give a heads up. Also, I do have a legitimately sealed copy in better shape if anyone would be serious on it.
  3. I have started programming using Batari. I decided I need to get a Harmony cartridge so that I can test my games on a real VCS. Whilst hunting on ebay, I saw the following:- http://www.ebay.co.u...sd=262985404875 The menu looks the same (minus the Harmony logo). I cannot find any information about these anywhere. Plus the tech specs seems to be the same too:- Specifics: 2600 Ninja Drive MicroSD/SDHC version NXP 70MHz ARM7TDMI-S microcontroller 8KB SRAM, 32KB Flash, and 512KB EEPROM 7MHz SPI bus controller Micro USB FTD232 serial interface Supports FAT32/16/12 with Windows Long Filenames (LFN) Bankswitching types supported: 2K, 4K, F8, F8SC, F6, F6SC, F4, F4SC, FA, FE, 3E, 3F, E0, E7, CV, UA, Supercharger, DPC, 0840, Custom Specs from the Harmony instruction manual page 9 - (http://harmony.atariage.com/files/harmony_manual_v2_online.pdf) Harmony Cartridge Technical Specifications Processor: NXP 70MHz ARM7TDMI-S microcontroller Memory: 8KB SRAM, 32KB Flash, and 512KB EEPROM SD Card Interface: 7MHz SPI bus controller USB: FTD232 serial interface Filesystems supported: FAT32/16/12 with Windows Long Filenames (LFN) Bankswitching types supported: 2K, 4K, F8, F8SC, F6, F6SC, F4, F4SC, FA, FE, 3E, 3F, E0, E7, CV, UA, Supercharger, DPC, 0840, Custom The specs are the same, even the order that they are listed. At the guys at Atariage okay with this? Or is this a legit Harmony competitor worth considering? Or should I just stick with the Harmony cart?
  4. Hey i recently came accross this cartridge but it doesn't look right, is it real or fake? I purchased it but i only noticed the differences afterwards, I am in the middle of cancleing the transaction cause i think it should have been listed as a repro, any of your opinions would be great, eBay Auction -- Item Number: 260913987251 Thanks Trevor -sorry i put the wrong ebay code in the first time i posted this...
  5. How is it determined that this cart is real or fake? https://ebay.us/GYnkdf Shouldn't it come with some sort of box or labeling or sales manual from the event? Can you tell looking at that PCB alone? Thanks.
  6. Apparently people are still selling fake PS3 controllers. I bought one new on ebay and it turned out to be fake. The listing got pulled after I bought it. The controller arrived and it was obviously a knock off. I asked for a refund and i just got it. It's kinda bad but not really. I played with it and it was not too bad. I've used worse controllers that were not trying to be knock offs. I had ordered another authentic controller (used this time) and the refund made up for buying a real one. So I ended up getting a controller for free, even if it's fake. It still works. It only has issues working as player 1 with PS2/1 games.
  7. I've been collecting a bunch of different Famiclones recently, but this one in the shape of an XBOX might be my current favorite! lol Spoiler alert! It's crap. But really I think I collect them just because they "exist" and not really because they are anything I intend to use on a regular basis. They are just funny to me!
  8. I was looking on ebay for a 7800 joypad and this popped up in the related section! http://www.ebay.com/itm/Atari-2600-7800-Halloween-Texas-Chainsaw-Massacre-double-ender-super-rare-/271942048947?hash=item3f51025cb3 He said in the description that it's a reissue, and that it's "Ultra rare [email protected]@K". But seriously, why would anybody pay hundreds of dollers for a Xonox double ender?
  9. this is pretty important. to whoever is about to bid on this item: http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fitm%2F251266792164%3Fru%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.ebay.com%252Fsch%252Fi.html%253F_from%253DR40%2526_sacat%253D0%2526_nkw%253D251266792164%2526_rdc%253D1 its FAKE. and as proof, here is the picture from google images that this guy stole and cropped so that it only shows one of the carts: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Dmi7Txvz7iI/SkESNA4mBxI/AAAAAAAABLw/gdbT0fgIDr4/s400/Nintendo-World-Championship-Gold-Gray.jpg&imgrefurl=http://blog.pricecharting.com/2009/06/how-i-got-nintendo-world-championships.html&h=300&w=400&sz=21&tbnid=J7zH-Tr2eEej9M:&tbnh=95&tbnw=127&zoom=1&usg=__rmRER7RNFk6Llj14QJ5Nx-ZWya4=&docid=xN-WR4fEvf9poM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=fh99UafyKKi90AH334CYDQ&ved=0CEAQ9QEwAQ&dur=187 it even has the same green background and everything. and if you look at the ebay item, you see that random scribble of lines next to his name? that covering the shadow/smudge on the cart so that people dont recognize it from the actual picture. what a ripoff!
