  1. 😀 Hello all Did you miss me? Back with another game review this time Burning Fight. Its a good beat'em up but unfortunately got crowded out back in the day. Feel free to check out my game review, hope you enjoy it. Anthony hope I got this right LOL as the format has changed a little and its been a while.
  2. E-Jagfest is over, and it's about time we get some updates about the games shown there into public; especially those who are good on their way. So it's time for an official thread on Karate World Tour! Jagfest visitors could try out an early build of the game, and now we are proud to present it to the Atari Age community. "We", that is matashen who is doing the coding and myself who is drawing the graphics; with the final board being designed by Lynxman when it's time. Karate World Tour is a one-on-one competetive fighting game; a genre sorely missing on the Lynx to this day. It is inspired by early western fighting games, namely classics like International Karate and the Way of the Exploding Fist.. This means: no fireballs or quarter-circle plus punch moves, but a more realistic Karate simulation. No energy bars, but points. Just like a real Karate tournament. Highlight of the game will be the 2-player-Comlynx-mode. We hope that Atari fans everywhere will enjoy this game on events like the Jagfest in the future, we want it to become a favorite for occasions where Atarians gather. As with all of matashen's games you will also be able to save your highscores and possibly win/loss-ratio. You can expect all the moves and smooth animation you know from games like IK; nothing is ripped though, but carefully recreated for the Lynx' lower resolution. We will try to put many different locations for the fights in, four of which you can see right here (work in progress). Generally speaking, while our game is inspired by the classics we hope to make it even better if we can. We ope to get this game done in time for a 2013 release; it would be nice to have the first official championships held in November at the e-Jagfest 2013. But we cannot promise that yet, as Green Little Quak-Quak is the top-priority, but Karate World Tour will come right after it. So without further delay, here's the latest screenshots.
  3. If you love the arcade style fighting games like Marvel VS. Capcom or Street Fighter then you will LOVE Mugen. Mugen is Dream Deathmatches Galore. In Mugen, almost any character you can think of can be put in the game in either a 1 on 1 or 2 on 2(all fighting at the same time) deathmatch(ever wanted to see He-man and Liono VS. Link and Shredder, well in Mugen you can) from Marvel and DC to the Megaman bosses and the Ninja Turtles and to top it all off, there is NO character limit(the highest roster I have seen had 8000 characters) and basically the WHOLE game is customizable from the menus and the health bars to the sound effects no skills needed(you can have the Mortal Kombat menus, the Street Fighter's life bars and the MVC's sound effects). Now since most of the characters were ripped straight from their games they feel and play just like they did in their games and they fit perfectly(the SF characters fight and play just like a regular SF game aswell as any of the other ripped characters).Mugen is everything you want in a fighting game,an unlimited character roster and the ability to put almost any character you want in the game, what more could you ask for?.In short,(well not in short )Mugen is a FANTASTIC 2D fighter that everybody who loves the arcade 2D fighters will enjoy.http://elecbyte.com/mugen to see just how many characters you can download and play as:http://mugencharacters.org/load/ http://infinitymugenteam.com/ http://mugen.wikia.com/wiki/The_MUGEN_Database P.S.To add characters(which can sorta be a pain) you have to download(obviously) and extract the character into the Chars folder and then go into the Data folder and open up the select.def folder with Word pad. Then scroll down to where it says add characters and you type in the name of the extracted folder(if the folder says Megaman_Bass then that's what you type where it says add characters) then save and enjoy!)
  4. Just in case you have not seen already the 3D homebrew game Hyper Fighting for the Nintendo Virtual Boy: http://youtu.be/nW8lPCNEFGc
  5. Has anyone every beaten this? I just haven't put the time in to get that good at it.
  6. Hi, I'm looking to complete my boxed model 1 genesis collection is the last one I need. I see them on eBay from time to time but I figured I would try here first. So if you don't know what the fighting system is, its the bundle that came with Streets of Rage 2. The box is orangeish in some places. Here is a picture of what it looks like http://www.rfgeneration.com/images/hardware/U-040/bf/U-040-H-00012-A.jpg If anybody has one for sale, please message me and hopefully we can work out a deal. thanks!
  7. I'm wondering if any of you guys have played the Double Dragon remake on the iPhone or Touch. I haven't played it yet... how are the controls? What are your thoughts on the game? Thanks.
