While helping Tempest with analyzing the Rush Hour prototypes for his website, I created a (still non-complete) disassembly. The original prototype ROMs had a lot of flicker and contained some debug code. The CGE release from 2003 fixed the flicker problem by increasing the scanlines to 273. Beside the flicker, I found and fixed some other problems in the code. These are the changes: removed debug output changed display into stable 262 scanlines fixed repair bug (should be 40, but was $40 when stopping at the bottom) added and fixed the skidding code (was in the first two protos, but not in the last) changed "carrier" graphics (part of the graphics was garbage from other data) fixed car generation bug (now the car types vary in their speed difference, most noticeable for the "dragsters") some minor fixes I have attached the fixed source code and the resulting ROMs, including a PAL-60 version. Hi. I was playing the HSC NTSC version of Astroblast and encountered the bug that incorrectly gives you extra lives when you go over a 100k then fall below 100k. Every object you shoot while below 100k turns into an extra life. I think there is a version of the game where this bug has been fixed. If so, it would nice if we could incorporate this fix into the HSC version.

I wanted to play CAVE Apocalypse, but I cannot find it in HSC folder. Has it been removed?

In the online management page, I'm able to click the arrow to toggle status of a cart (#444) However, when I click the bin (for delete) it simply says cart not found, and it is not removed.

I noticed that Asteroids and Sadistroids report the high score in variations 34 (or so) and up shifted by one down. Example: I play variation 36, the high score is reported as variation 35. Variation 66 is not reported at all. Variations up to 33 are reported correctly.

I tried another game and it seems that Star Ship HSC does not report game variation 10, both normal and expert difficulty. I am not doing it on purpose, I just like to explore various variations of the games I never played before

I tried to download Vroom! (v0.6) but I couldn't do this with Windows and the nextcloud client, because the folder for the Quadtari WIPs was named "*Quadtari demos for bB*". The "*" is not allowed in a Windows file/foldername. @Prizrak I renamed it to "_Quadtari demos for bB" but maybe we should rename it again, because Vroom! is not a bB demo.

If the generated tar file for the offline ROMs is smaller than 32 KiB it is not downloaded.

You need to initialize SWCHA, SWACNT, SWCHB and SWBCNT to 0 in the PlusCart menu. Those registers are automatically zeroed by the reset sequence of the 6532, so usually initialization isn't needed unless you need a different behaviour (e.g. for keyboard controllers, atarivox and other peripherals). But when using the "emulation exit" function instead of power cycling the console, the 6532 reset sequence doesn't take place, so there could be issues with the controllers and/or console switches if the rom that was running before set the RIOT ports to output.

Somehow I managed to get/send "Type In New Message" into the chat log. Of course I didn't actually type that . so there's a bug there somewhere. Also, "in" should be "In" lowercase

Again, I do not know if it is a bug in PlusCart or in Oink! game. I made a video. When I play, I cannot throw a brick when I am not at the bottom of the house. It happens in PAL and NTSC versions of the game. When I run this game in Stella or Javatari, it does not happen. I can throw a brick at any time, even just after I took the brick from the top. Maybe another Atari Junior incompatibility? I have no other cart except PlusCart to test. I also tested on my Atari clone and it works like in Stella.

In my System Info report page, I'm shown as "MyROMs Files. 66", but in reality my "My ROMs" directory contains 16 items. This is potentially confusing - even though one has a space and the other doesn't. I think there should be a name change somewhere. Probably in "System Info" instead of using "MyROMs", use "Storage" Thus, "Storage Quota", "Storage Used", "Storage Files".

Here's a weird one. I left the PlusCart displaying a file (my new User Manual.txt). Came back into the room half-hour later, and some of the letters were mirrored. Must be a glitch in REFP0/REFP1 somewhere. What we're seeing here is pairs of letters swapped left/right, and mirrored. That's because each sprite (containing 2 letters) is mirrored. Very odd. Only seen it the once....

A few comments/issues... Here we see instead of "PlusCart(+)" as the network ID, we see "ESP_2E8CE2". I was able to connect to it, though - it was definitely the PlusCart. On the second attempt, it was shown as "PlusCart(+)". Perhaps the manual needs updating to reflect the name may be different. First, "module" is the correct spelling. It wasn't clear what/where the "Info Button" was. Perhaps this should clarify you need to go back to the main page and select the configuration info button. Change "send" to "sent". Change "mail" to "email".

On first-boot, if your "Setup" menu option is 1st on the 2nd page, the text has the wrong colour. Seems to fix itself after a bit of usage.

Latest DEV, "TV Mode" is not switching to PAL 60. I probably broke it. Will fix tomorrow. Just reporting here so it's known.

The "MyROMs Limit" is displaying "15 MB" instead of "15 MiB".

If you search for "*" without the quotes, the PlusCart essentially dies. It gets stuck in multple blank menus, wifi dies, etc....

The selected colours for various menu types in PAL-land are somewhat washed out and hard to read. Review all colours/types.

Although the binary is named "assembloids...", the title screen says "Asembloids" One S. Just pointing it out because I'm a pedant .

On my NTSC '2600, with my TV set to NTSC 3.58, the Recently Added ROM "Kaboom HSC NTSC" displays only in greyscale. No other ROMs that I have tested are missing colour like this. I have tried fiddling with difficulty switches - no change. Tesing on a '2600 JR -- no Colour/B&W switch avaialble. Could this be an initialisation error? How odd.

I have tested with 4 of my carts. Three of them (v0.15.6) failed to reset/reload after the update (although the update was successful). That is, I had to power-cycle after about a minute - and the new firmware was correctly installed. The 4th (v0.15.4) may be a dev version -- it simply refuses to update. It goes away for 2 or 3 seconds and then comes back to main menu.

I'm doing testing on the latest build. I've had a few instances of games not running -- all I see is rolling/ horizontally striped screen. One game that does it consistently is "Lili [Lilly Adventure].bin" If these games are actually not supported by PlusCart, then I think they should be marked as such. Either use a different colour, or (preferably) simply don't include them in the menu. Another option could be to modify the name... e.g. "(Unsupported) Lili [Lilly Adventure].bin" If these games are meant to run, then there's a bug that needs fixing!
