Hello, all. I hope you're having a good day. The Amico's special controller reminds me a lot of these two consoles. It's hard to believe both consoles came out so long ago. What is your favorite game(s) for these two wonderful machines? Why do you consider it your favorite?

Remember the TI-IUG? they had a magazine and a cassette exchange. I submitted a lot of games to them, back in the day. I found the IUG archive on whtech.com and download and fixed up a few of the ones I did. Awari Eagle 1 Stock Market Othello Star Trek You can download them from my Atariage blog http://atariage.com/forums/blog/528/entry-15370-some-of-my-ti-99-from-ti-99-iug/ enjoy

Way back in the 80s, when I was a kid, there was this thing called the TI International Users Group. The group had a TI magazine and a cassette program exchange. You could create programs and summit them to the IUG who would make them public for others to buy on cassette. If you submitted a program you would be able to get the cassette programs free. So being the cheap-ass I am I submitted a lot of programs to the IUG. Here are some that I recently downloaded from WHTECH site. I know I have a lot more but since the IUG had the irritating policy of removing the name of the programmer from the games, these are the only ones I remember. All the programs are on the .dsk. Here is the list: Note: on all games ;xb means programmed in extended BASIC. ;tib means programmed in TI BASIC. Awari I typed this from the famous book -David Ahl "BASIC Computer Games'. It was a straight BASIC scrolling on the screen game that me and my friend Keven converted to TI-XB graphics. It's a simple game that can me mastered rather quickly but still fun. Name is 'awari1;xb' Eagle1 this is a side scroller shot-em-up. it's rather sluggish but you can do just so much in TI XB but it does play a good game. Most of the code enhancements came from Miller Graphics 'Smart Sprite' book. name: eagle1;xb Kroakers This game is inspired by the arcade game 'frogs and flies'. plays rather well and includes speech. probably my best game of the era. name: kroak1;xb Othello There where a LOT of othello style games on the IUG. I 'think' this is the one Kevin and I created, it looks like the kind of code we would create. Our major enhancement to the Othello lot was we really ramped up the AI in level 3 to play a very tough, and slow, game. game name: othello1;xb Stock Market Another one where there were lots of versions on the IUG. What makes me think this was mine was the inclusions of being able to choose the company name for the stock. name: stock1;tib Star Trek And again a lot of versions. We added graphics to ours and a little sound effects. We also got this one from David Ahl BASIC book. name: Trek1;xb Even though there are multiple files it's the same thing on all the files. As I find more I'll post more. enjoy the TI experience! HLO MyHLOGames.zip

Vectrex Homebrew Permission and Programs wanted for the NEW "Ultimate Vectrex Multicart" ! HELP!!! Arcade Jason Kopp and Ralf Kornmann are working on a new multicart to replace the existing Super Vectrex Multicart (SVM) ! They are asking for your permission to permission to add your homebrew games and software to their new "Ultimate Vectrex Multicart" (UVM). For version programs are preferred. But if you would like to create a version only for distribution on the Ultimate Vectrex Multicart they would be welcome too. All types of home brew software is welcome. Games. Educational. Demos. Songs. Utilities. Diagnostic and Test. I am sure the team of Jason and Ralf will once again over-deliver and under-price their new "Ultimate Vectrex Multicart" (UVM)! Even if you have already given Jason and Ralf previous permission to include your Vectrex program into their current Super Vectrex Multicart, Jason would like to touch base with you again to renew the permission for the new "Ultimate Vectrex Multicart". Please submit your Vectrex programs and permissions to Jason Kopp's email address: koppjason83@yahoo.com, with the subject "Vectrex Program Permission Grant for Ultimate Vectrex Multicart" Gmail Message response: Here is email reponse link for use with Gmail koppjason83@yahoo.com, Subject: Vectrex Program Permission Grant for Ultimate Vectrex Multicart Alternatively, you can reach out to Jason Kopp via his Facebook account @jason.kopp.923 (https://www.facebook.com/jason.kopp.923), or Respond in the Vectrex Fans Unite Post thread about this same same topic. (note group membership is required to post in this thread) https://www.facebook.com/groups/104852679725118/?multi_permalinks=2210917792451919 Thank you in advance to any Vectrex Developer responding to this post. Even more appreciative if you allow your Vectrex program to be included into the new "Ultimate Vectrex Multicart". Vectrexer

Many A8 homebrew games have awesome packages so I started this thread. Oddly, I haven't found a photo of Yoomp! package on the Internet so I made a photo of mine (didn't remember a pencil was included...). I am a bit lazy so all photos (Yoomp! and Dungeon Hunt apart) are from Internet. I want to point out that the following games are available for free; you had to pay only if you wanted the boxed edition. Nevertheless, they sold many copies. Dimo's Quest (cart isn't available yet) Bomb Jake Yoomp! Hobgoblin Robbo Forever Dungeon Hunt Thetris-Rolltris Kolony 2106 Bomber

Some of them are worth to be compiled to try to see if the gameplay is improved by speed! Of course, it's not enough to just compile them, since you need to adjust the speed for input, etc. The XB256 by Harry Wilhelm is very useful in this case. I attachment ten or so games to try. For Sale or Trade: I recently purchased a lot of four very rare Atari 8-bit game titles on floppy disks for preservation purposes. They are: Chicken Out Concentration Spy Catcher Underwater Cavern All four titles share the attributes of being Developed by General Masters Corporation and Published by ALA Software / ALA Enterprises, Inc. The programmers are unknown, except for Chicken Out which is by Bruce Adelstein. These titles are in plain sleeves, and all with original instructions, except for Underwater Cavern. Images and more info are in the thread at the end of this post. My disks and manuals were sent to Kay Savetz for preservation (and returned to me) for online archives, including a8preservation.com and atarimania.com; the latter of which ranks all these rarities as '9'. I am not a huge collector, and spent way more than I wanted to on these to share with everyone. It was completely worth it to me, but I am hoping to recoup some costs, be it in a sale, or in some fun with trades. Please PM me if interested. I have a wide trade spectrum I'd be open to, from Atari A8 parts/systems/upgrades to newer game controllers, arcade and game console related gear. Doesn't even have to be rare. I even have a handful of regular XL titles I'd consider trading for. If you are a collector of rarities and/or A8 games, let's have some fun.

*** Tomy Tutor/Pyuuta/PyuutaJr: Games & Homebrews MegaPack for MiSTer and MAME - by TMOP *** Due to the recent release of the beta core for Tomy Tutor for MiSTer FPGA (see MiSTer Tomy Tutor Core) I decided to prepare a MegaPack to have in one .zip all the released games and homebrews. I've also included a Excel file in which, for each game/homebrew, there are the tests results and some additional information. If you have some carts/homebrews not in this pack, but in the list, please share them, so can be included in the next update! Have fun! ? Announcing the Fair Play edition of Deathmaze 5000. This is a fan revision of an escape room type game from 1980. Puzzle designs are improved to eliminate unfair elements such as pointless objects, moon logic, opaque causation, and inconsistent behaviors. I hope the beauty of the original can now shine in a more satisfying way. Play now at https://github.com/sean-gugler/DeathmazeFairPlay Full source code is there as well. Mind the spoilers!

Do You Have Some Questions About Atari 2600 Whether Buying Games Clone Consoles Or Original Consoles

This is a work in progress.. will be happy to add anything missing - Greg A few bits of information, rules and guidelines on posting. Short links to our sub-forums: TI-99/4A Computers http://ti99.atariage.com TI-99/4A Development http://dev99.atariage.com Please read the AtariAge site guidelines which apply to and are enforced in our subs. Our sub-forums are divided to help cater to the varied interests in our beloved platform. The parent sub-forum, TI-99/4A Computers, contains general information and conversation regarding the TI-99/4A and its siblings, such as the 99/2, 99/8, CC-40, and BASICALCS. The sub-forum TI-99/4A Development is for conversations, information, announcements, etc. pertaining to programming, tinkering, or the development of software or hardware for these computers. This division is not intended to be a separation of the community but rather a way for those who have little interest in development but moreso in general discussions to focus their time on the fun-zone, while those who take more interest in the deep-down nitty-gritty and not so much general shenanigans to focus their attention just the same. The rest of us can spend all the time we want and will peruse both subs with reckless abandon. Insofar as development is concerned, once hardware or software has been completed or is at least ready for general consumption, an announcement should be made in the general TI-99/4A Computers forum for all to partake. Further development and inquiries should still be continued within the TI-99/4A Development sub-forum. The forum leader will move threads to a more appropriate forum. This may also be done by request should a thread be started in the wrong forum by accident or the trajectory changes from general to development or vice-versa. The forum leader will also merge identical threads started in both forums into a single thread in the proper forum. Per AtariAge guidelines, please refrain from posting identical threads in both sub-forums as way to ensure the topic gets viewed. Many people already browse both subs, and if your topic pertains more to development rather than general, or vice-versa, the thread should exist in the appropriate forum. As well, multiple threads created on the same topic in the same forum will be merged. Regular members can edit a post for 60 minutes after submission. This allows you to fix any issues you may notice with the post right away. Subscribers can edit posts for 30 days. In the Marketplace and Programming forums you can edit your posts indefinitely, since the flexibility of allowing editing of posts outweighs the potential abuse of the edit functionality. If you make a duplicate post in a thread, which can happen by accident or some unforeseen technical glitch, report the post by clicking on the "report" link at the bottom of the post and indicate in the report that the post is a duplicate. If you are not a subscriber, please help support AtariAge by using the eBay BBCodes ebay, ebayseller, and ebaystore when posting links to eBay! Click here for more information. Anything you would like to share with your fellow 99ers but is seriously off-topic for the forum may be posted in the official off-topic thread, located here To find the most popular threads click on sort by and select most popular. All of us are ready and willing to provide answers to your TI-99 questions if we can, some will just chime in if they cannot, and others will just lurk. If you have any questions specifically pertaining to the operation of our forums, please feel free inquire of the forum leader via Private Message (PM,) or one of the global moderators. Put together a short list of some XB golden oldies and converted them into AdvBASIC for the Geneve. Added AdvBASIC features to some of the programs, like 80 column or multi-color font, and others I just converted with little changes. Here are games: Awari barricade (was already a ABASIC program) chicken plus civil war (made 80 column) - note: the 80 column ones I converted I tried to make them look like they were being seen on an old monochrome monitor of some sort. millibornes othello star merchant star trek stocks (made 80 column) uno+ wumpus yathzee (added multi-color font) also included the latest AdvBASIC manual if you want to fiddle with the games some. enjoy ABASIC-conv-games.zip

I have a bunch of old games to sell. I have no idea what they're worth, so I'm going to base my price on the hassle of getting them to you. I have sorted them into three groups by size to make the shipping easier. I'm asking $50 for the games plus $10 for domestic shipping (which will surely be more than $10). International will be more, but we'll work it out. I haven't played these games in nearly 40 years. I have opened all of them, so they're not shrink-wrapped. I'll be posting more stuff in the next few hours.

Good new classic gamers ! I am designing a graphic accelarator cart that will work will all models of the Color Computer . This will allow WiFi ,Multiplayer, Animated Sprites, Tilemaps, Backgrounds, Mp3's , Parallex scrolling , raytracing and more on this open source software to run on your standard coco . Step 1 , load your tilemaps, sprites, sound files and backgrounds on a sd card. Step 2 Play advanced games on your coco or design your own games / applications even from Basic ! Enjoy real world images (.bmp ) files , mp3 music , all from your coco's native monitor/tv set. I am using the funds from my kickstarter game to develope this bleeding edge technology that will allow games like my Space pirate Kimiko game to run on real hardware and still enjoy actual soundtracks and fast graphics. No special programs are needed to use this pre loaded cart. Just as simple as .. POKE 49440,3 will play song 3 from your sd card. So please support this project ! Thanks, MrDave6309

Selling some Atari ST games I don't have attachment to: Manhunter New York Forgotten Worlds Action Fighter Stationfall SOLD Starcross SOLD Suspended SOLD Karateka SOLD Looking for $50 each for the Infocom games and Manhunter New York, $20 for Karateka, plus shipping. Forgotten Worlds and Action Fighter are $10 together, plus shipping. I'm happy to consider offers and will discount if purchasing multiple items. Stationfall, Starcross, Suspended, Manhunter NY and Karateka are all in excellent condition. I'm the original owner on them and boxes and materials are in great shape, almost like new. Includes full sets of extras including the patch in Stationfall. The only issues are the cardboard map in Suspended is slightly bent in one section and the disk label on Karateka is damaged (I don't remember what happened 35+ years ago). The Manhunter NY disk labels have glue discoloration which is normal for disks of that age and label type. Starcross and Suspended include hint books but I don't know if the invisible text is readable. Some of the hints have been hi-lighted but have faded over time. Forgotten Worlds and Action Fighter are secondhand and in at best fair condition. Forgotten Worlds seems to be missing its second disk and doesn't have any paperwork. Action Fighter has its disk and registration card but no manual. All disks except Starcross boot. Starcross gives TOS Error #35 so I'm thinking it may have gone bad. Tested loading on a 1040STE with 4MB memory. Everything gets packed with bubble wrap and/or packing paper for safe delivery. I generally use USPS for shipping. Feel free to make a reasonable offer for the whole bundle or a subset. I can take PayPal or Venmo. Lastly, I sell on eBay under forbidden-planet if you want to see past sales of toys and other items. Since I haven't gotten much response here the past couple of weeks, I've listed these items there. Cheers!

Hi folks -- first time poster. Didn't even know forums like this existed for the CoCo till just now. Was hoping someone can help. I remember getting a set of games for the CoCo back in the 80s. IIRC, they were (maybe?) non-commercial games that were bundled together for some reason. I don't even remember if I bought them or if they were giveaways. Anyway, one of the games was a 2D maze game. All I really remember was that it was on a white background and it involved navigating a pretty extensive maze -- it was much larger than a single screen view, so the maze scrolled as you moved around. I don't even remember the object of the game... all I remember was that there was some weird enemy (maybe just a line or something?) that would fly through the maze every now and then and zap you, forcing you to start over. Does this ring a bell for anyone? I don't really have any reason for asking other than for nostalgia purposes, but I'd love to see if that game still exists somewhere. Obviously I don't remember the name... the game just popped into my head recently and I thought I'd try to track it down. Can't find anything on Google. Thanks!

I couldn't find a thread specifically about this, please pardon me if there is one. Pictured is a MiniVex II, a controller I've been producing for the Vectrex. Been considering a compact twin stick unit, like this one, that's compatible with both Atari 2600 / VCS and the 7800. Thus far I know of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Stargate for the 2600, and Robotron for the 7800, but that's all...can someone list other original release and homebrew titles for both of these systems that use dual sticks? Much appreciated. Larry

I already posted this question on FB but didn't really get any response: I've been working on a new game that's getting to be pretty big - too big to fit it all in expanded memory. I've worked around this by having the program broken up into sections with each program calling the next one. For instance: Start->intro->instructions->level1->level2->etc. So this seems to work fine when the programs are all on a specific disk. But how would this work for a cartridge? What would need to be changed to get this working for cartridge if this is even possible? For disk, it's just a matter of calling: RUN "DSK1.LEVEL1" or whatever is the next program in the sequence. Thanks

I am selling my near complete DIGIPLAY Intellivision video game Collection. The collection of games includes 29 of the 31 DIGIPLAY games that were produced in Brazil in the 1980s. I have a few items i will be selling including DIGIPLAY items & random games. All games are boxed and complete. These games are Very hard to find by collectors. They dont come up very often. All games, manuals, and most overlays are printed in Brazilian Portuguese text. I want to sell on AA to another collector. That is my goal. If I cant come to a price with someone, i will list on Ebay... but i really would rather not. I would sell alot cheaper to someone here. PM me if interested. I will ship wordwide if need be. Hi guys! I am new to the forums and have recently been getting back into collecting for my Atari 2600 jr. I have the classics such as Asteroids, Space Invaders, & Defender, but have recently purchased Solaris and it has quickly become one of my all time favorites. What are your favorite 2600 games? And do you have any recommendations for games similar to Solaris? Thank you!
