Hey all! I'm selling a number of Sega Genesis and Mega Drive (JP) games. If it says FULL in the description, that means it comes with the Case, Cart & Manual. Please note that some of the Sega Mega Drive (JP) games are reproductions and are labelled in the descriptions below. I've taken pictures of the front/back/spine/inside of each case that you can check out in the HIDDEN area below. I've tried to price according to condition/completeness but please let me know if you need any additional information about any of the titles. UPDATE: TAKE 10% OFF ALL PRICES LISTED I'm listing them all here because I'd rather sell the games to a community member on AtariAge than to someone on EBay/FB Marketplace/etc. 🙂 Shipping cost will be priced according to postal rates with tracking from Vancouver Canada. - James Sega Genesis (Prices in USD): $12.00 Aladdin Full w/ Hangtab $18.00 Altered Beast Full $30.00 Bubble and Squeak Full Writing in manual $18.00 Cool Spot Full (SOLD) $12.00 Ecco The Dolphin Full $52.00 Ghouls'N Ghosts Full (SOLD) $14.00 Jungle Book Full w/ Hangtab $29.00 Lost Vikings, The Full Writing in manual (SOLD) $7.00 NHL 96 Full (SOLD) $16.00 Puggy Full w/ Hangtab (SOLD) $24.00 Revenge of Shinobi Full w/ Hangtab Sega Classic Edition (SOLD) $45.00 Rocket Knight Adventures Missing Manual w/ Hangtab $39.00 Shadow Dancer: The Secret of Shinobi Full Sega Classic Edition $15.00 T2 Full w/ Hangtab (SOLD) $33.00 Thunder Force II Full (SOLD) $15.00 ToeJam & Earl in Panic on Funkotron Full w/ Hangtab Tape on Case / Writing in Manual $15.00 Vectorman Full Box in Rough Condition $28.00 Vectorman 2 Full $24.00 Wiz'n'Liz Full Sega Mega Drive (JP / Prices in USD): $20.00 Aero Blasters Case + Cart / No Manual Reproduction $17.00 Aleste Case + Cart / No Manual Reproduction / Peeling Label $26.00 Altered Beast (Jūōki) Full $75.00 Bare Knuckle Full $20.00 Bare Knuckle / Fire Mustang / Street Smart / Aero Blaster Case + Cart / No Manual Reproduction $20.00 Fist of the North Star Case + Cart / No Manual Reproduction $30.00 Golden Axe Full (SOLD) $20.00 Golden Axe II Case + Cart / No Manual Reproduction $20.00 Kyukyoku Tiger (Twin Cobra) / Ka-Ge-Ki (Fists of Steel) / Dai Makaimura (Ghouls'n Ghosts) Case + Cart / No Manual Reproduction $20.00 Mickey Mouse / Dick Tracy Case + Cart / No Manual Reproduction $20.00 Shadow Dancer Case + Cart / No Manual Reproduction $26.00 Strider Full $35.00 Thunder Force II Full $55.00 Thunder Force III Full $42.00 World of Illusion Full PHOTOS OF GAMES FOR SALE:

Has anyone made a Genesis repro with a Master System ROM on it, thus eliminating the need for a powerbase converter? I've checked around but I haven't been able to find any information on how to do this (if it's even possible).

My apologies if this has been answered before, but I've searched the forum and I haven't found the exact answer I'm looking for. I've seen and read online that some gamers are using the original Sega Genesis 6-button controllers with their Atari 7800 systems. My two questions are: 1. Will the original Sega Genesis 6-button controllers work with the light sixer version of the 2600, and if so, will they work with all games from all manufacturers? 2. Will the newer Sega Genesis 6-button controllers made by Retro-Bit work with the light sixer version of the 2600, and if so, will they work with all games from all manufacturers? Any other info or experience you may have on this topic would be welcome. Many thanks in advance for your time and expertise!

Hi! I was told I should post this here in the Atari 5200 forum along with the Marketplace forum. I made a batch of 30 Masterplay Interface clones for fun and practice with KiCad. They are based on the schematic at Dr. Scott M. Baker's website. I won't be making any more. They let you use Genesis controllers to play most of the Atari 5200 library. My own schematic and BOM are posted below. I'm selling them for $60 + shipping. This includes the Masterplay Interface clone, the custom keypad, and the extension cable for the clone. Satisfaction guaranteed. Returns accepted within 14 days. A few notes: - The acrylic top of the clone can be removed with 1.5mm hex bit to access jumpers. Rotate jumpers 90° to change button mapping. - Calibrate x and y axes with a small screw driver through the small holes on top. Games that can't be played with the Masterplay Interface clone: - Missile Command - Super Breakout - Kaboom! - Centipede - QIX works only after cycling the d-pad Thanks for looking! 97914581_PXL_20230204_215846042_TS2.mp4 1134455718_PXL_20230204_220001888_TS3.mp4

Good Deal Games has the second batch of War in the Machine available. Technically it's version 1.1 since I added a new control mode that uses plain old UP and DOWN for player controls. Makes things more familiar but now your player and launched projectile ships move up and down simultaneously. Same neat features as before. I made the bosses and enemies all randomly generated. You can move vertically and have a temporary invincibility shield. Weapons consist of three mini ships that can be rammed into the enemies. If one meets a quota of kills a boss will appear. Defeat the boss and the next round gets faster with slightly tweaked baddie AI. Oh, and with chromadepth glasses it's in 3D!

Hi all.. new here! Thanks for having me! I am wondering which is the best budget handheld? Ideally I would love a Steam Deck, but I can't justify that much on a handheld atm. So based on my own research it feels like its between : Anbernic 353M Anbernic RG505 Retroid Pocket 3+ Ayn Odin Pro (what is the difference between base and pro?) I love the look of the 353M, love the dpad swap on the odin, but I just wish the 353M had more RAM and was capable of PS2/GC. Can't figure out why its almost the same price as the much superior (on paper) RG505 either. Anyone know why? Just wish the 505 had the look of the 353. It looks boring IMO and the colour choices are crap. So I think the 353M is only on my list because of high ratings and it looks great, but also the linux option was attractive. But I suppose I need to look at one of the other 3 if I want PS2/GC games but came here for advice. Or maybe you know of a better handheld for that price range? My budget is upto £200/$250 (GBP/USD) require ps2/gc emulation screen larger than 4" would be nice Suggestions welcome! Cheers!

ProjectY It's ProjectY - the RPB you've been waiting for since the 90s! WIP @ 's Magical Game Factory. The Origins For the first time ever, fans of retro consoles are getting exactly the game they want! And they want a RPB! Investors, as they are called, have used their voting power to shape ProjectY to their own liking. Their first poll result was to make a game for the Mega Drive/Genesis. Then came the decision to make the game a RPB (Role-Playing-Brawler). The final big turn for the project was the setting, which the investors decided should be cyberpunk. With these defining poll results, ProjectY started to take shape while additional minor polls followed. Development is currently ongoing; you can still join ProjectY and shape the game by voting, submitting your ideas and discussing the project on the boards! 40MEG Obtained with fervor by the investors, we can guarantee the game will have a bare minimum 40 megabits cartridge. ProjectY is joining the small club of High Density Cartridges (also known as the "big, black cartridges"). This will be at least the second biggest Mega Drive/Genesis game ever, after WaterMelon's own Pier Solar! With this much storage at our disposal, we can make the ultimate 16-bit beat 'em all! Also obtained by the investors, the game will feature four playable characters, one of them to be unlocked. The Context ProjectY takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, set in an Asian high-tech metropolis. The last survivors of the nuclear war are divided into several classes, where the most powerful have the others by the balls. This has divided the governing bodies into several fractions, where ethnic mafias and a corrupt corporation are just a few of them! As you can see, this story is filled with many possible scenarios. It will demand lots of exploring and several playthroughs to get everything out of it. WHY SHOULD I JOIN AND INVEST? How do I join a project? If a project is open to join, you can join by investing at least one GEM into the project. What are GEMS? How much do they cost? GEMS are Watermelon's currency. As for now, one GEM is equal to 10 cents (USD) with the possibility of changing later on. You can use GEMS to invest in a project. If you earn some GEMS, you can use them to get discounts on products, get coupons, etc. What do I get for my investment in a project? Magical Game Factory investments offer access to voting and conversion features. How much do I have to invest to save myself one copy of the game? 500GEMS (USD 50) for one edition of the game reserved exclusively to Investors. dra600n of Second Dimension posted a small HBLANK example I'd like to share here. Basically, if you want to mess with the display on a certain scanline this is how you do it. In this example we're changing out a whole palette on a certain line. This is good if you want a status bar with a different set of palettes or a water effect like in Sonic 3. Note that you will most likely get artifacts like "CRAM dots" if you mess with hblank even a little. hBlank 111 On hInt GoSub hbl On vInt GoSub vbl Enable hInt Enable vInt hint_counter = 111 End vbl: Palettes pal1,0,0,16 j = JoyPad(0) If j.0 = 1 Or j.1 = 1 Then hint_counter+=j.1-j.0 hBlank hint_counter End If Return hbl: Palettes pal2,0,0,16 Return pal1: DataInt $0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000 DataInt $0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000 pal2: DataInt $0EEE,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000 DataInt $0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000,$0000

Ok, so in this thread there's a lot to talk about, and I also needed to split Sega's 8-bit systems into another topic so I can focus on the 16-bit hardware, this is a sequel to the threads I made about clones of the NES and SNES: (In retrospect, the SNES thread looks very incomplete and doesn't have a lot of information and details) So, I just want to start with the fact that no clone console is ever going to have 100% compatibility, even FPGA ones, why? Because there's also no Mega Drive official model that has 100% compatibility, see, unlike Nintendo, Sega didn't thought the world would get tired of their games if they kept releasing new models every year or gave a license to third parties to do so. So I am going to list some of the specific models that have their own software just as an idea, a Mega Drive PC, a module for a computer that plays Laser Disk versions of Sega CD games, as well as some exclusive games, 3 arcade boards variations, and two Brazilian models that have either 4 EA games or a Guitar Hero clone (guitar peripheral included). Now, taking these uncommon models aside and considering just the main ones there's still a lot to discuss, like: Sega CD support The only modern clone that can use the Sega CD on the expansion port is the Analogue Mega SG, and it still has some small problems, the reason why it's the only one is because companies don't think it's worth it putting the expansion port there since the add-on isn't that popular, but many clones have support for the Terraonion Mega SD that plugs in the cartridge port. 32X support Nope, there isn't a single one, but Krikkz seems to be developing a 32X clone that will work on modern systems, we just need to wait. Now, for the sake of simplicity I'm going to define three levels of compatibility, original models(it plays "everything"), Genesis 3(small incompatibilities with some games, doesn't even start others) and Nomad(doesn't play some games simply because it's portable). So, to start things out I'm going to talk about the special clones so I can get them out of the way. Atgames/Genesis Mini Android Clones There are some clones that use systems similar or almost identical to the emulated systems licensed or made by Sega in the past, these have SD and cartridge ports included, the drawbacks are the fact they are emulated, so, only games that just have a simple ROM file. Portable/Nomad Clones These are on the same level of an actual Nomad but with problems similar to the ones found in the Genesis 3, interestingly, I found some clones that have exactly the same outsides as the Atgames portables, but with cartridge slots, some with custom designs, and a clone on a cartridge that can plug into some portable SNES clones. Clone Consoles Now, one of the things that held me from doing this is the weird compatibility with these clones, first, there are only Systems-on-a-Chip(technically on 2 chips since there's also the 8-bit one) available on the market currently, no full hardware clones. But to the clones themselves, they seem to use the same chips with little variation, but compatibility and quality are wildly different for each one, most surpass Genesis 3 compatibility by not too much, but others don't. A common problem that I found is the Mono audio, the only one with Stereo audio that I found is the Hyperkin Mega Retron HD. Since there are too many special cartridges for the Mega Drive I'm going to list the issues on another day

Six month update! Pictures forthcoming. If you want to inquire about a particular item, I can probably get a picture within a day or two. If you want to make a trade, or take off a large number of lower priced items, I’m far more flexible on prices. I tried to price everything below ebay, but if any prices are way off base (possible!), feel free to let me know, even if you’re not buying. Shipping is from 02141 or 02116. International shipping has gone off the rails, so US is preferred. CIB = Cart, Instructions, Box CIC = CD/card, Instructions, Case Any other extras will be noted. Free with purchase stipulation: minimum purchase is $15 or any 3 items to get a freebie. Starting from August 2022, I'd consider exceptions to that to include any purchases at all or perhaps even just pay shipping. Check my old feedback and new feedback. ************************* **ATARI** ************************* Atari 2600 Pictures for 2600 & 7800 games: https://postimg.cc/gallery/506L48Q I also have some CX40s available for cheap or free with purchase. Today I have some relatively new information on a $17 controller adapter that you can obtain on Ebay that, when combined with a PC 15 pin gameport to Atari 5200 controller adapter (like the one currently being made by bohoki) will get your Atari 2600, Sega Master System, and Sega Genesis controllers working on your 5200. What's extra awesome about this is that the Sega controllers have compatibility with the two button games, and this is what the Masterplay Clone enables. (Unfortunately, no one is currently producing the Masterplay Clone for purchasing, though.) Here is the Ebay link to the product: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Amiga-Atari-Amstrad-Commodore-DB9-9Pin-Joystick-to-15Pin-Port-support-Usb-Adpt/272348471848?hash=item3f693be228:g:Df4AAOSwUd9aaMnL I've ordered adapters from this Ebay seller, Ikonsgr74, since 2015 and can vouch for his top-notch workmanship. He will not disappoint you. I have some additional good news: The Atari 2600 Trakball works with it to play the digital games that may be worth a try on the 5200. I have tried it with Gyruss, Ballblazer, and Galaxian with nice control results- especially Gyruss. The trakball unfortunately doesn't work with the analog-only games like Missile Command, Tempest, Star Wars Arcade, and Super Breakout. For two button digital games like Defender and Dreadnaught Factor, the Sega Sportspad (which is a trackball) also works great. If you have a couple of Camerica NES products (The receiver for the "Freedom Stick" with Genesis cables and the "Freedom Connection" transmitter device) you can add those adapters and get your NES controllers working on the 5200. I have enjoyed playing with my NES Starmaster joystick and NES Max gamepad on games like Dig Dug and Defender. In fact, on Defender, the Star Master joystick helped me to get my best ever score of around 89,000. That joystick has a very satisfying 'click' for each direction it is tilted- though it's not actually a microswitch-laden joystick like the Quickshot II Plus. Hard to describe, but it's just a perfect joystick and I'm very grateful to be able to use it to play my favorite 5200 games. I've detected no lag by the way, so that's good... Also there's a way to connect the 8bitdo NES Retro Receiver to the 5200 via the two adapters (and Camerica NES products and NES Fourscore) and play your 5200 digital games wirelessly with the controllers it's compatible with: The Dual Shock 4, Dual Shock 3, Wii Remote, and Wii U Pro Controller. I've tested it and had great success just last evening. Hope you enjoy the info. Special thanks to Swami for being the 1st guinea pig to try out Ikonsgr74's newly revised controller adapter on the 5200 (via being added to the bohoki adapter). I'm definitely grateful for learning about this from you.

Hi! I have this Sega Genesis Mini for sale. It's in really great condition. I've only played this a handful of time. I'm asking: $75 + shipping. Feel free to PM me with any questions or concerns. Thanks! SOLD

Hello, I am selling off many items from my collection. I will not be taking a bath on shipping charges (I've made that mistake before), so be prepared to pay full shipping. I use USPS, and I know shipping charges have been high, but that's true for everyone. Unfortunately, video games cannot be shipped with Media Mail. Everything has been tested and works. USA sales only! (sorry). I reserve the right to refuse any sales. Also, I have a day job, and while I can make a trip to the Post Office most days, please be patient while I safely prepare your packages and get them shipped out. EDIT: Adding 32X. You'll have a hard time finding these games in better condition, all of them are spectacular. Toughman Contest has some sunfading on the outer box, but still in great shape overall. 32X: -After Burner $90 https://atariage.com/forums/gallery/image/35225-32xafterburnerjpg/ -DOOM $25 https://atariage.com/forums/gallery/image/35226-32xdoomjpg/ -Primal Rage $90 https://atariage.com/forums/gallery/image/35229-32xprimal-ragejpg/ -Toughman Contest $25 https://atariage.com/forums/gallery/image/35232-32xtoughmanjpg/ EDIT: Adding Sega Genesis. It is alphabetized, with direct links to the pictures next to the game and $Price. There are some big ticket items in here, everything is legit, I do not deal in counterfeit games! I bought these games well before the Chinese were making knock-offs, so feel secure that my games are originals. Namely, M.U.S.H.A. Some games have rental stickers or damaged labels etc...I have adjusted down the price accordingly. Instead of working on the dozen or so projects that I have started, I decided the other day to delve into SecondBASIC programming for the Genesis. For those that don't know SecondBASIC http://www.sbasic.net/ is a BASIC language developed by Second Dimension. It is in active development and appears to be fairly robust. My biggest gripe is that there are virtually no programming examples for it. Commands are documented and a few code snippets come with the development environment but that's about it. I decided to help rectify this situation by writing a simple Snake game and commenting the hell out of it. The game uses the text functions only (i.e. no shape tiles) and has two very simple sounds. I've tested it with the Fusion 3.64 emulator and everything appears to work as intended. I can't seem to find my flash cart so if someone could test it on real hardware that would be much appreciated. While coding the game I did run into a couple of things. First, I did not see any mention of multi-dimensional arrays on the SecondBASIC site although they are supported. I did only test with 2 dimensional arrays, however. Second, I had to use another program to fix the checksum on the binary. Otherwise, fusion would throw up a checksum error whenever I tested the binary. I ended up using Fix Checksum https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/342/ to correct it. Third, at one point during coding I tried to do an animated spinner using the string: "\|/-" to no avail. Older guys will recognize this as a cursor used by many on the Apple II and C64. Not that big of a deal that it didn't work but I did find it a little odd. I believe the "\" is used by SecondBASIC to denote something, possibly "\n" for newline, etc. Even when I tried to build the string using chr$, it failed to work. Fourth, the ASCII codes don't quite lineup with the text screen that I'm using. I tried using codes: 016,017,030,031 (4 arrows) to do the spinner and one of them kept displaying as a heart. At that point I decided the hell with it and didn't look any further into it. Lastly, the binary generated by SecondBASIC is always named sbasic.bin no matter what your project file is named. You have to manually go to the work folder and rename it if you want to keep a copy. Otherwise, it will be overwritten at the next compile. Attached is the rom file and the basic listing. I'm sure there are things that can be improved along with using actual shape tiles for the visuals. This is just a simple example to hopefully encourage others to take a look at this programming option for the Sega Genesis. Feel free to tinker around with it and see what you can do. Controls are simple (up, down, left, right). Skill level can be chosen at the title screen by pressing left or right. It's a basic Snake game, eat the dot and avoid hitting the walls or yourself. Once you reach 100 points, obstacles will appear in the playfield to make things tougher. Have fun. Snake.bas snake.bin

I've heard some good things about the Genesis's racing games library, and with my recent acquisition of my very own console, I was hoping that some of y'all could fill me in on some of the good racing games to try. I've currently got Super Monaco GP, and Hard Drivin' in my collection, I'm just curious as to what else I could add in the future. Sports games are a genre I haven't really dabbled in much, but from what I've heard, the Genesis is basically the go-to console for 90s sports games. Seriously, from what I can tell there were an ungodly amount of sports games released for it. With that said, what do you think the best ones are?

I have searched and have not found a complete list of incompatible carts, I just assume Virtua Racing & maybe early titles like Star Control won't work... Does anyone have a full list? I know there is some variance with each of the Atgames sega releases, this is the 81 built in games 2017 model. I just picked this up last night cheap with my GF because we just moved and wanted some quick 2 player Mortal Kombat lolz... anyhow, ANY help would be most appreciated!
