  1. Unfortunately there were not many RPGs for the Atari Jaguar (I am only aware about one e.g. Towers II) This is hopefully about to change in the future with the addition of this tile (current working tile: Kings of Edom) I am glad to announce a rouge-like RPG that I have been working sporadically between my other game releases. This will probably take a little bit more time to complete, as it turned out to be more complex to develop compared to my previous titles (available at: http://tjocktv.se/shop/) The levels are randomly generated every time you play a new game, so this will guarantee a good replay value for this game. You can always go back to a previous level (as long as you are still alive), all monsters defeated will stay defeated, and all items picked up will be gone. Note that currently there is no sound in the game, but you can see in the battle animations if an attack hits the opponent (e.g. if the hit animation is played). Far from all attacks are successful, this will be even more noticeable with the correct sound effects to be added. Also you can see at the bottom of the screen a message for each event that occurs in the game e.g. if an attack is successful, how much damage it did, what items you picked up etc.
  2. Wormhole 2000 (home brew) for the ATARI Jaguar: Very soon to be released on cartridge at: http://tjocktv.se/shop/
  3. Hi, just wanted to start a thread here for my next Vectrex game (my first was Big Blue). I have done no programming since the end of May but will pick things up again now summer is over. This was the last video I recorded: I added a vulture that dropped power ups since that video. Originally the next game was going to be Frontier which will be a wild west adventure game... but I think I will now release this as Outlaw Hill (guess the games it's inspired by Currently it's 2 player Vs only but I will try to add an AI opponent... if that doesn't work out I will add a separate 1 player game as I know 2 player only games aren't always popular. Doubt this will be out until 2018 but I'll keep the updates coming. www.vectorrepublic.co.uk

  5. Thought I'd let you all have a sneak peak of "Pollinator, 'Bee One' with Nature", my new vectrex game project. Pollinator is based on an electromechanical arcade machine we built earlier in the year, which its self was inspired by Ice Cold Beer (which its self is based on a traditional pub game). This is a very early preview of the basic game mechanic but my ambition here is to produce a fast, smooth, relatively simple game but with oodles of levels and animation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_HRRfJXWpg&feature=youtu.be "Bee the Best".
  6. Revival was at the weekend here in the UK and I set up 5 Vectrexes on the stand and showed my 2 games plus a host of other games from other home brew luminaries... a few photos of the Vectrex stuff... 7. BLACKOUT! Is officially released and ready for purchase! For the moment we only have 23 copies available (out of the planned 25 due to bad chips). If these copies do well, we will do a second release of 25 carts, and then a third larger release for CD. Followed by the free binary release! Key features of the game: • BJL Loader. Yes, that’s right! This game can also be used as a development tool for aspiring coders! • Game Box Printed in non-laminated uncoated cardstock similar to the original box style and designs used for old Jaguar releases. We went against the glossy boxes because lamination peels over time. This release includes original Atari bags, white cardstock inserts, and game instruction card. Each box is numbered. • Game Features 4+stages with over 40 levels total. Power-ups, a timer, pumping music by C-Trix, and some goofy extras. This game is more than just another lights out. Media: NOTE: 50hz PAL Mode is disabled in this release. This is due to originally starting with buggy video code and finding this out much later in development. Reworking to accommodate PAL video mode would be more trouble than its currently worth at the moment, which would delay the release considerably. We apologize in advance for those using only PAL systems, however a 50/60HZ Mod switch will take care of this as the video mode for the game only runs in NTSC 60hz. If booted on a PAL machine it will display an error message informing of the swap necessary. Future developments have already had this issue resolved and should not be a problem. We personally dont believe in releasing a certain number of hard copies and then not making it available to download for those that have missed out and causing people to resell releases for insane prices. Hence the free release later on. We hope this helps curb the issue a little bit... Your continued support of homebrew development releases from ANY group will allow developers to continue releasing hard copies for those that would like them. Check out website for a Paypal purchase link and please limit to 1 copy if possible so everyone may have a chance. If the link doesn’t allow you to purchase anything, that means we ran out of copies. Enjoy!! www.stormworksinteractive.com
  8. Snowball in the black shell is now available to preorder. The price is £18 plus p&p (£4 UK, £9 EU, £10 Rest of World). Snowball is a simple 2 player Vs game where you and another player control an elf each in a snowball fight, first to 3 wins. Video of me playing both players on my own here: https://youtu.be/Fw4PMZScdMA This edition is not limited but I only have 50 PCBs on order for this so it would be some time to restock if they sell out. If you would just like a ROM of the game with your own personalised title page message then the price is £5; if you are buying the cart version, I will happily send you a ROM file with personalised message at no extra cost. Drop us an email on [email protected] with your address and I will send you a PayPal link for the total to your location.
  9. I'm working on a new driving game for Vectrex. UK readers will probably spot the inspiration. Still got a bit to do to it, design the maps, add a different car, add sound and a few other bits and pieces but the core of the game is there. Take a look. https://youtu.be/McSoI8k1Yy4
