  5. The eighth and Final Round of the 2014 Harmony Games is Stay Frosty chosen by Oyamafamily Description: You were just chilling out at the North Pole, when a short-circuiting string of Christmas lights on Santa's barn set the reindeer dust on fire. Now magic fireballs are threatening to melt everything. It's up to you to put them out so you can keep your cool, however that's not an easy task for someone made of frozen water! This game was made part of the Atari Age Stella Stuffer cart in 2007, if you don't have the cart you can get the rom here (I know it can be played on via java version of stella, but I rather you use an emulator real hardware(via cart, or flash cart like harmony cart) this game was played on season 6 week 4 of the original HSC with Zero with the following settings (were using the same settings as well) Game Name: Stay Frosty Released By: Darrel Spice Jr, 2008 Left Difficulty: N / A Right Difficulty: N / A Game Mode: Default This round starts on July 21st at 3pm and ends on August 4th at 2pm CDT good luck Point scoring: top 10: 10 (for first) to 2(for tenth) 1 for everybody after 10 ***Bonus Point Challenge: Play the Demo Version of Stay Frosty 2, which has been released recently here: Top 5 scores will get bonus points according to the following example: 1) Player 1 - 15,000 - (+5) 2) Player 2 - 14,000 - (+4) 3) Player 3 - 12,000 - (+3) 4) Player 4 - 10,000 - (+2) 5) Player 5 - 8,500 - (+1) get 1 bonus point more for finishing the game( 7 lelvels) plus an addition point for doing without loosing a life (AKA perfect game) (if your playing in this round we ask you to take a video of the game for proof as this a special addition) **** post your scores here (ranks will posted at the AVC Online forum and on the harmony games web page (see signature)
  6. Has anyone else noticed that there is no link to the Lynx HSC subforum in the High Score Clubs forum? Perhaps a mod should add it.
  7. As the Carol vs. The World! championship continues, Santa has added a new twist to the challenge... Game Achievements! Achievements are small incremental goals that track your progress through the game. They can serve as additional personal challenges or provide extra bragging rights. They are completely optional, and do not really affect your chances in the competition. They're just neat to earn and brag about, and lots of fun! All your earned achievements will be shown right next to your high-score in the official Carol vs. The World! Championship leaderboard. So, head on down to the main contest web site and visit the Achievements section for more information. http://www.carolvsghost.com/cvw2013 With 27 achievements in total, how many can you earn? How do they work? Some achievements are earned automatic, meaning that they occur as you play normally. These can be inferred from the score, so submitting your high score photo as usual is sufficient. Others require that you submit proof separately. For instance, consider achievement "Santa's Magic Touch," which is earned when you reach 300 points. When you submit your normal high score entry, if the score is greater than 300 points, you will be awarded the achievement automatically. In contrast, to earn the achievement "The Perfectionist Elf," you must submit a separate photo showing proof that you got a "Perfect Level Bonus." This may or may not be your high score entry submission. For more information on achievements check out the Frequently Asked Questions page.
  8. Well, it's that time... ..the Jaguar High Score Club, Revamped, Season number 2, is officially over. I want to thank each and every one of you who participated at any point during this season. Although the amount of regulars was lower than last season, I think having roughly 23 players participate at one point or another is actually more than we had last season! Since I cannot edit the Tempest 2000 thread at the moment (Al did an update today that is preventing it), I have added the final tallies for that specific round here. Below that you will find the overall Season 2 rankings. GKC came in first, overall; Orpheuswaking, second place; and last but not least, Punisher5.0 in third! A slight modification to what I did last year, I will be providing the first place overall winner with a complimentary gift as a thank you for playing, and as a prize for playing the best and most-consistently these last six months or so. In the meantime, consider all previous rounds permanently closed. Once the editing issue is fixed, I will update the Final Round appropriately, as well as the HSC Rules and Schedule thread as well. I still haven't pinned down a timeframe for beginning the next season, so look out for a similar thread to last year's "I need your input for the next season" thread. JAGUAR HSC REVAMPED SEASON 2, FINAL ROUND POINTS: 1. Orpheuswaking - 100pts + 50pts (First Place Final Round Bonus) 2. Austin - 96pts 3. GKC - 94pts 4. DCUltrapro - 75pts 5. Doctorclu - 62pts 6. 9. I know your most of you are wondering about the next harmony games for the 2600. we will be starting it next month. few new rules first: we will only be using homebrews this time around,(hacks might be accepted if its functional and graphical only(graphical won't be allowed, which means laserman 2k3 won't be included this year) also the first 5 rounds will be chosen by our top 5 players from last year, then it will go back to suggestions. we will still have two special rounds for Atarimania (in May)and VGS (in July). so with that said will the the top 5 players from last year post there games in this thread(I will start the game thread around april 14th) a round is 2 weeks for those who dont recall, but at times I might extend it. See you in April!!
