  1. Hi, has anyone got BASIC code to load or can supply the specs of the image format for the Atari Artist Tablet software? Cheers.
  2. Good day to you all! I've been pretty successful in modding old PAL 2600 Junior Consoles to Composite Output. But now I stumbled upon 1 (2 in fact) very stubborn one. I would be glad if you guys could help me troubleshoot this, and lend me some advice on how to find out what is broken. I already checked the usual stuff like power and power supply. It has 9v power and the led is also shining brightly red. The only problem is, there is no video output from it. It is the board revision F.1.1 (the other one is Rev F). There are no visible damaged components or capacitors so I am all out of ideas. I already made the Composite mod, to quickly check if there is any video output and the parts of the mod are all okay and working correctly, as I tested it on another console successfully. The strange thing is, R28 had a capacitor soldered onto the same pins as the resistor itself. I desoldered it and tried it again with no success. It looked like the one on C12 (yellow blob). So, to get to the point, is there anything I can check to find out what is wrong? I own a multimeter and all the tools necessary except for a logic analyzer or an oscilloscope. I would be endlessly glad if you could help me get to the root of this by any means, so I can gift another old console for Christmas. Thank you and best regards/great holidays. Fleder
  3. So I just got my shiny new Kryoflux board yesterday. I got it all set up with an old IBM drive that I cleaned up and it is working perfectly. I was so excited to watch it produce raw stream and .img files of my original Atari 8-bit Bruce Lee disk in less than a minute and a half! I couldn't wait to put in a blank disk and see if it could write a working copy of the disk, protection and all. Then comes the "cannot open image file" error... Did I do something wrong, I wonder to myself? Wait, what? The software can't write back the images it produces??? ??? I have to send them to the "Software Preservation Society" to have them decide if it is worth their time and effort to generate a writeable .ipf file for me? I don't mean to sound ungrateful, because the Kryoflux is truly a remarkable product, but is there ANY way I can build an .ipf file myself with a windows PC? I have a lot of my own data disks; my old BBS disks especially that have become unreadable through the years, that I would like to try to bring back from the dead with this product. Any ideas, links, suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

  5. Hi everyone I've recently purchased a Jaguar off Ebay that is in great condition. Came with many games and extra contorler. However, the picture does not work properly. The sound works fine but when it is turned on, the picture flashes on and off. I have uploaded a video to youtube to demonstrate. It came with a standard scart output not RF. This model of Jaguar does not even have the RF out... At the end of the video, I show the telly using the same scart to display a Wii working perfectly just to prove it is not the telly. There are also some pictures at the bottom... Does anyone have any idea what is causing this issue, and how I can reslove it? Thanks Ali
  6. Using CBMXfer is ridiculously slow to create D81 images. I will try using imgcopy.exe directly to see if I can coax a faster transfer. It seems to me that using my 64/128 natively with the SD2IEC would go much more quickly but I have been unable to locate a program to do so. I am still looking tonight but about to head to bed. I would greatly appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction. (I swear I downloaded a program, maybe from Q-Link, and have it on a disk somewhere...)
  7. Hello everyone! My name is Matt, 40 y.o. and speaking from Brazil. I am a big fan of Atari 2600 and new member here. Thanks for adding me! I have an NTSC console and the board model is Rev. 16, 1980. Recently, I got a problem with the image: the image showed by channel 3 tunes momentarily and then disappears. The channel 2 image is almost OK, but not "smooth"; I can play it, but the image I used to have from channel 3 was quite superior in quality and definition. What seems to be the problem for the image of channel 3? It would be a problem to fix with some adjustment? I'll be very grateful if anyone could help me. Matt.
  8. Hello I have an Atari 2600 "Vader" it has worked flawlessly until yesterday night I unplugged the Atari from the tv (Coaxial to RCA Adapter using a switch box between cable tv and Atari). I went to my friends house and the image was corrupted (see link) every game is like this. I went back to my home and It is still corrupted. Any ideas? The Game is MIDNIGHT MAGIC. http://i.imgur.com/ZUHHb7P.jpg
  9. Greetings, I have been trying to copy some disk images in ATR format via the APE and Prosystem PC applications, via SIO2PC (USB) and Atari 1050 drive. I know the drive and interface work because I've successfully loaded programs from both into my 800XL. The problem is, when I try to transfer the disk image to real floppy, the copy fails - I believe this is because all of the ATR images I'm finding online are double density (180kb), and my stock 1050 disk drive is only designed to read/write single density. Does this sound correct? And if so, is there any convenient way around this, aside from upgrading my 1050 to read/write double density? I'd be content to just load files from the emulated drives available via APE and the SIO2PC interface, but the interface is on loan from a friend so I'd like to get some disks made before returning it. Thanks in advance for any advice!
