Digging thru boxes and found one more of these: Purchased a non-working Atari Lynx II awhile back in the hopes of repairing it. System did not power on when I received it. Attempted the 5V mod. Tested the capacitors with a capacitance meter and all but three seemed fine. I removed the 3 in question and tested again out of circuit and they seem ok. I'm afraid I don't know enough about electronics to attempt further repairs. If someone else would like to give it a shot, here you go. I'll leave the cables unplugged and the 5v mod in place so you can troubleshoot. Screws and 3 removed capacitors are in a baggie and included. Also included is an extra screen cover and an extra screen (unknown if extra screen works). They need cleaned up. Cosmetically, the Lynx is in nice shape and complete. See photo's and ask questions if you have any. Will also consider trading for boxed/complete Atari 2600 and boxed/complete Atari Lynx games I still need. See second message in thread below for game want list. $37 $35 plus shipping Package weighs 1lb 9oz.
Hi Guys! I've purchased Atari Lynx II recently. Everything works (except scrren which I want to mod) but battery cover is missing. I know that there are many places to get missing part (original or substitute) but has anybody acces to STL file of it? I ask because I have (limited) access to 3D printers. Thanks in advance. miker
I had just done a McWill update and everything was working great. It ran fine for a few hours and a few on/off cycles, then I couldn't turn the Lynx on. I assumed the MOSFET has failed, ordered a couple, put it in and then POP, TP18 blew up real good! Perhaps I didn't purchase the right MOSFET, or just a coincidence? This is the MOSFET I ordered from Digikey: NDT2955CT-ND NDT2955 MOSFET P-CH 60V 2.5A SOT-223-4 Assuming nothing else blew and I have the right part, I've heard there was a zener diode I should be replacing as well, but I don't know which one or it's value. I, of course, need to replace TP18 -- what part is that? Thanks in advance to you all.
