Hey guys, I recently bought a copy of Mario cart 64. I was told it was not working but after using some isopropyl alcohol 99 percent on the pins and re-flowing all the solder points it maybe worked every 10 attempts and has now stopped entirely. The games board looks very very clean. Anyone have any ideas? Another weird part is I took all the shields off and the black cover for the pins and it worked sometimes and not others. Now it just seems to not work at all.

I have read comments, here and on YouTube, over the past 3 years. I have made some updates to all of these games here! A quick note about the hacks: I have decided to place all of my hacks in one, convenient thread. As I grew up with my Atari 5200 and Atari 800XL, there were certain games that I thought had a little more potential. I had created basic hacks for a few of these games. I always thought that my 5200 Popeye could look better. Brutus didn't have a number "5" for a head in the arcade version. I knew I had drawn more accurate Mario characters on my 800XL. If only I could plug them into the games. I teamed up with Playsoft, who provided the tools and wisdom to make these games possible. Some of these games have other contributors. Tep392 helped us tweak the collision and touchy controls in DK Jr. I believe that Tep392 and Kjmann worked on the original Donkey Kong RMT sound version. I believe there is another member who helped Playsoft in some of the A8 to 5200 conversions. I am not sure who drew the giant Popeye head. If anybody has clarity on this, let me know, so credit can go where it is due. These are truly community projects, and I had a great time watching them transform. Playsoft did an amazing job of hacking display list interrupts, giving me a little more height area (eg. thicker 5200 Mario Bros floors, as well as multiple floor types). I have been holding off on releasing the latest Mario Bros hacks, because I didn't want to release as many revisions. I was also hoping for some upgraded sound effects for Mario, but there's not always enough time in the day. There's a bonus hack for the 7800 Mario Bros. I found the 7800 graphics tedious to hack. The characters were drawn too small and flat, and the game itself plays horribly. That version has the least number of animation frames, so the animation is poor regardless. It is my "Lipstick on a Pig" release. Hey all, I just ran into this on my feed on Twitter, and WOW, I cant wait to be able to play it. It looks epic... Video/pics here... Some examples from above... It's a completely new game, all new levels, 4 player capable and stays faithful of the original. There is a rom out there for it, that I found, if you follow some of the messages on the above link, you should be able to find it. I have a Super Wild card but, the floppy drive is dead. I ordered a Floppy Emulator and it's due in tomorrow... This means I have the rom and I cant even play it tonight It really does look incredible and the dev put years of work into it..

Hello, I am Oscar Kenneth, from Kai Magazine Software. A few months back I presented you a Project we were working on: Thio’s odyssey. Turns out I received some offers and the game will be published by Elektronite, with a different name (Ninja Odyssey) and lots of changes and improvements. The premise is very different now and the playability has evolved a lot, including different shurikens, a red suit for double jump, an intro, final bosses, smooth moving multi-colored enemies and many more things. I am attaching a video link and some snapshots: The video is recorded at 30 Fps but the game runs perfectly smooth at 60 Fps, so it will look much better on your console. This game does not require any additional hardware and it works on any Intellivision console. We are working on other Intellivision games, so if you like this one, stay tunned That’s all for now. I hope you like the game.

I've often joked Bubsy was "The hit points of Mario with the speed of Sonic" I think Bubsy actually owes just as much to Mario as he does to Sonic for the inspiration. And today, the inspiration for Mario passed away. https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-46072339?fbclid=IwAR2W8OwHzU3s28cfWOT85P6WfrHQCjgU2uGKYQhA4RVVlpy3VLkuspRGOSE I originally heard the news at this other blog: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/284642-not-atari-but-super-mario-the-real-life-guy-dies/ Rest in peace Mario Segale. Thanks for inspiring the jumpman that was maybe the first platformer mascot I saw. Maybe it was him or Bounty Bob from Miner 2049er. Not sure. Pretty close there. In tribute, I found some Mario jokes. Worth checking out. http://www.jokes4us.com/peoplejokes/supermariojokes.html

Just watched the trailer for this game. Looks AMAZING! Almost had a little Sonic Adventure vibe to it...and more. Also felt echoes of Super Mario Sunshine, a personal favorite. Looks to be a very different feel from Super Mario 3D world, which i enjoyed but for some reason liked the 3DS version better. What are your hopes, dreams and wished for the next Mario game? Please discuss your thoughts as well once it's released.

Howdy! Today, I'm here to inform you that I'm creating "Nintendo Power FX" for the SNES. It uses the Super FX Chip 2 to manage detailed 3D polygons at an outstanding framerate! Play as Mario, Luigi, Samus, Megaman, Link, Donkey Kong, Diddy, and Yoshi as you rush through iconic levels from games. There is a battery save system. Levels include World 1-1, Yoshi's Island 1, Cutman, Jungle Hijinks, and many more! This project will take lots of time, as there has been no attempt (as far as I know) to make a 3D platformer using the Super FX chip. I will keep you peeps updated.

Hello everybody, today I have a simple question: what's your favorite mario party game: 1 through 10? Actually, its more complex than that. It would be cool to hear two answers: what is your favorite game, including biases like your first mario party, a favorite gaming party or experience, etc, as well as which game you believe is all around the best, unbiased. I personally had the most fun with Mario Party 8 because it was my first even though some other entries in the series were way better. I'm exited to hear your answers!

I know there are at least five different ones but this is the only one I've found. Only a buck though so I'm not complaining!
