Is there a device driver/plugin for Altirra that emulates the MPP-1000 joystick modem? Thx in advance. Wade

Anybody need a PCI modem? Take your pick. $3 each (minimum order of two unless you are buying something else from me). Discounts for multiples. An offer to buy the entire lot (for say $18?) would take precedence if someone wants them all. Shipping not included. I haven't used these in ages so DOA's will be refunded or replaced. If you want to try and make an order and need any other old computer parts or maybe other random stuff let me know. I have TONS to get rid of. Many of these are either Compaq branded or have Compaq spares numbers on them. About half of them are Rockwell chips I believe. If you need info on any specific one let me know.

Hi. Does anyone have a manual for the original TI 300 baud modem by any chance? Lee kindly donated one to me a while back and I have a little project in mind for it. In particular, I need to know the power supply specs and the function of the 3-way TST switch in the back.

ticket GITHUB Ticket #371 - Some BBSes hang
tschak909 posted a topic in #FujiNet SIO Network Adapter
Yes, some of you have noticed that some BBSes cause the FujiNet to hang. There is a ticket on github that explains this, here: This is caused by an unusual set of circumstances where the ESP32 isn't responding fast enough to received TCP packets. To improve performance, most hosts turn off Nagle While @mozzwald and I have been able to decrease the frequency of the hangs, we haven't been able to get rid of them completely, and have now reached out to the ESP32.COM forums to see if we can get some help, What I posted, follows: -
Found this in my archives from one of the batch buys. SupraDrivers(02B).ATR Includes R-Verter handlers for the Supra 300AT and 1200AT Modems. These incorporate full flow control using the I/O pins on Joystick Port #1 including the Trigger Input Line... Enjoy, Jay

I have gotten heavy into telnet BBSs and became rather impressed by the ST terminal program, TAZ, that allows 16 color ANSI emulation at medium res (2-bit color, of course) by way of color interlacing. Kind of like Megaroids and Quantum Paint, in approach. Anyway, I wrote about it a little and have a video showing the effect. For those interested. http://www.bytecellar.com/2017/06/18/four-colors-into-sixteen-terminal-innovation-on-the-atari-st/ bp

Hi! In roughly 1986 a friend of mine gave me a copy of an 80 column term program he made. It is attached. I couldn't find it anywhere online but maybe it is already posted somewhere already? Boot the atr with basic disabled. If you inadvertently boot with basic you'll get the READY prompt in 80cols. As far as using the program: I can't figure out how to change baud. I think there is a way. Select toggles EOL/Linefeeds START toggles half/full duplex He or the 'Sector Spectres' also released at least one other program, too. Maybe those are kicking around somewhere. 80column term by Sector Spectre 003 v1.0.atr

I just won a fantastic Portfolio lot off of eBay Germany, and it contained a modem interface (along with a program called Portfolio Online). Was this made by Atari Netherlands or by a third party? The dox have no contact info or company identification beyond the Atari fuji.

So, I have a bunch of Atari stuff for sale. I'm not sure as to what to price it (I'm not an Atari guy, I'm a Nintendo guy), and I'd like it to go to a Atari collector or someone who will put it to use/appreciate it. I'm not looking to make a killing. I just want a fair/going price for the stuff. It all works. The list consists of: Atari 520ST - Good shape - powers on/runs Atari 1040ST - Good shape - powers on/runs Atari 520ST - poor shape - powers on/runs 3.5 SF354 Atari 850 Atari 810 - 5.25 XM 301 410 Cassette Monitor SC1224 It's a rough list. I imagine most of you on here will know more about what I have. I have photos. Some of them are doubles. I want to make sure you can see the condition of the items. https://imgur.com/a/doqNz

I might have the only Dreamcast in the US that no longer has it's original modem. With the DreamPi stuff coming along nicely and several old servers being resurrected(Alien Front Online to name one), I figure now's as good a time as any to try and relieve the magic a bit. So, yeah, 56k modem. The one that came with all US Dreamcasts. I'm looking for a spare one that works.

I'm happy to announce that Beta 3 of TcpSerSharp is out and it fully supports connections coming from real or virtual COM ports. I've tested it with AppleWin with great results. There is no reason to expect any other COM enabled emulator not to work. To use TcpSerSharp with an emulator that supports direct connections to a COM port, follow these steps. Download TcpSerSharp from GitHub. Download com0com (a virtual serial port package). Run the com0com setup and allow it to create a com port pair. Rename the com ports created by com0com such that they follow "COMx" where x is the port numbers. Install TcpSerSharp Navigate to %ProgramData% -- then right click the TcpSerSharp folder and give write permissions to all users. In the %ProgramData%\TcpSerSharp folder, open config.xml in your favorite text editor. Add a modem to the modem pool that looks like this: <Modem device='rs232' speed='9600' port='COMy' /> COMy is the second com port in your com0com pair. Restart the TcpSerSharp service to get the new modem loaded. Start your emulator and load your favorite term. Be sure your emulator is connecting to the FIRST com port of your com0com pair. If you need any help, post your questions here!

What Is It? Hayesduino is an Arduino sketch that provides a bridge between the world of the Internet and small devices that do not have built-in ethernet capabilities. Old computers, such as the Commodore 64, Apple II and Atari 800 have serial ports, but do not have readily available Internet solutions with wide software support. While specialized solutions do exist for these platforms, they all require specialized software to use them and do not lend themselves to more general usage such as simply opening a socket, sending some data, and/or receiving some data. Hayesduino bridges this gap by emulating a Hayes compatible modem. This allows users to initiate Internet communications via sockets that are opened by "dialing" to a hostname and port. An example would be initiating a telnet session with a host by simply typing atdt hostname:23 and waiting for the host to respond. Using this technique, any online socket can be reached and communicated with. Hayesduino could have accomplished this without emulating a modem, but there needed to be a good way to allow the small machine to receive incoming connections. The three platforms listed above were all very popular systems for hosting BBS (bulletin board systems) which would accept calls over a telephone line via modem. Hayesduino simulates the incoming phone call whenever the software receives an inbound connection on port 23 (this is changeable in the code). When an incoming connection is detected, the Hayesduino will toggle the DCE-DCD line to trigger the remote software to answer the incoming "call". In this way a classic BBS can be hooked up directly to the Internet. http://hayesduino.codeplex.com
