Someone in the TRS-80 MC-10 camp found a bunch of new games for that computer, and as it turns out the developer Inufuto has made available versions for a long range of mainly Japanese home computers, but also some others: MSX, NEC PC-6001, PC-8001, PC-8801, PC-8001mkII, PC-8001mkIISR, Sharp MZ-80B, MZ-2200, MZ-1500, Sharp X1, Toshiba Pasopia 7, Fujitsu FM-7, Hitachi MB-6890, MB-6885 Jr, National/Panasonic JR-100, JR-200, Bandai RX-78, Sony SMC-777, Casio PV-1000, PV-2000, Casio FP-1100, Mitsubishi MULTI8, Sega SC-3000, Sega Master System, Sord M5, ZX Spectrum, Apple II, C64 Japan, VIC-1001, TRS-80 MC-10, TRS-80 CoCo Many of these models may be almost unheard of in the west, but at least some like MSX, Apple II, C64 (though Japanese version), VIC-20 (VIC-1001), the MC-10 and CoCo should be accessible natively. Given the wide range of formats, most likely those are made with a cross compiler, perhaps CROSS-LIB or something similar?

Yeah, I'm the guy in white. Repair (had a busted cap that was shorting the +12V line): https://plus.google.com/photos/+DanielCampos/albums/6105297657130285409 So, looks like a fun machine, but finding information about it has been a PITA. I can't even find the cassette pinout. Is it that DIN-8 at the back? I found a bunch of pages about it but only in Japanese. It'd be nice to find a mailing list or web forum, then even if it was in Japanese I could communicate via Google Translator. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

Hello hardware gurus! Got a problem I was hoping someone might be able to help me with. I have a Turbo Express I picked up about a year ago that's now having issues. But first, some background on the unit. When I first bought it, it was having the usual "weak sound" issue. In addition to that, it had a weird condition where, after turning it on, it would sometimes need to sit running for 30 seconds to a full minute before the LCD screen would "wake up", let's call it. Of course, I was able to fix the audio issue by replacing the related electrolytic caps. Audio still isn't super strong like an Atari Lynx, but was good enough that I could play it without headphones in a reasonably quiet room. So today, it's been 2 or 3 months since I got it out to play around with it. But on a whim, I decided I wanted to enjoy some Devil's Crush on the small screen, so I pulled its carrying case off the shelf, popped in some fresh AAs, and turned it on. And while the audio kicked in just fine, with the game playing in the background, the screen stayed lit but black. At first I just assumed I needed to let it run for a while, like before. But even after leaving it running for over 5 minutes, I still wasn't getting any display output. I'd read that sometimes running off the DC adapter's power can help, so I popped out the batteries and plugged in the wall wart. Waited another 5 minutes, but still nothing. Any guidance here? I know there's more electrolytic caps inside this thing that I can replace on the PCB, but most of what I've read online seems to suggest that generally doesn't help with this problem. Has anyone else run into a similar issue with their TE or PCE GT that they were able to successfully diagnose and resolve? Thanks much in advance for any help and/or suggestions! - [email protected]

I'm not sure if anyone can help me with this, but ! Here goes ! I recently found a good emulator for the NEC PC6001. I need it to complete a video for my youtube channel but I'm having difficulties getting it to run a .cas image for pac-man that I found on Archives.org. I have't been able to find an alternate image of this game anywhere online. I do know it exists because of this. http://p6ers.net/hashi/emupacman.html I've tried to make it work in Mess & with PC6001VW Emulator to no avail. Anyone know where I can get an alternate rom image to work with this emulator. Because so far I'm turning up nothing in my searches. Attached are the clips I currently have.
