  1. I am in the market for at least 2 Odyssey 2 controllers. Please let me know if you have any that you would like to part with for a reasonable price. Thank you!!
  2. Does anyone have an Odyssey 2 multicart? I've seen some for sale online but the gentlemen who usually sells them seems overwhelmed so I was wondering if anyone here had one for sale. Please let me know. Anthony
  3. Does anyone have Quest for the Rings for the Odyssey 2 for sale? I'm looking for it complete; it doesn't have to still be in the box, as I'm going to play it. Please let me know. Thank you!!
  4. Revival Studios is proud to present their latest game release for the Philips Videopac and Magnavox Odyssey2 consoles, called Cavity. In cavity, your goal is to navigate your way through the cave while collecting various power-ups for points. As the game gradually increases in both speed and difficulty, you can collect a yellow power-up which temporarily stops the speed from increasing. If you get the special item by picking up the blinking power-up at the right moment, you will be rewarded with a massive boost to your score as well as an instant speed-down The game uses advanced color-techniques, so that for the first time the gameplay experience will be identical on the bare-bones Odyssey2/G7000 console and the Videopac+/G7400 , while still providing rich multicolor graphics. Enjoy the trailer (watch with sound on): The game is available on cartridge in a run of 100 copies. For more information about the game , visit the game's website at: http://www.revival-studios.com/?page=136

  6. Revival Studios has just released its first game for the Videopac and Odyssey 2 game systems, called: AstroDodge. In this game you are controlling a nice multicolored spaceship, having to dodge the hordes of asteroids coming towards you. The game is playable on all Videopac, Videopac+ and Magnavox Odyssey2 systems, but also includes additional support for high resolution backgrounds on Videopac+ systems, and digitized speech through the voice module. More than that, players could also submit their highscores and achievements online through the use of a code, something has not been seen in any videopac/Odyssey2 game before. Check out the trailer here: Game features: - Playable on Videopac and Odyssey2 consoles - High resolution background on Videopac+ consoles - Digitized speech using The voice add-on - Animated multicolor sprites - Internet highscore uploading - Online rewards system - Hidden gameplay mode For more information about the game, including information on how to order the game on cartridge, go to the Astrododge page at http://www.revival-studios.com/?page=124
  7. Join Wizzy, the son of the Wizard of Odyssey, in his first adventure! While working on a powerful spell,Wizzy's father was being watched by others. As a precaution he captured the spell inside a crystal and divided it into 4 pieces, which he buried inside the mines, just south of your village. It is now up to you to collect these pieces and bring them together inside the enchanted chest to ensure the spell doesn’t fall into the wrong hands. This game really pushes the boundries of what is possible on the dear old Philips Videopac and the Magnavox Odyssey 2 ! Check out the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WcD6qczYIJY Game features: - Playable on Videopac and Odyssey2 consoles - High resolution background on Videopac+ consoles - Multicolored backgrounds and sprites - Digitized speech using The voice add-on - Internet highscore uploading - Online rewards system Release information: The game is available on cartridge with a limited release of 100 copies. Check out the the Revival Studios website for more information, at: http://www.revival-s...s.com/?page=131 Also check out my other homebrew games for the Magnavox Odyssey2 and Philips Videopac systems!
  8. So, I've been looking through the forums to see if anyone has had the same issue as I have, but I haven't been able to find anything. Last week, I purchased an O2 that looked to be in really good condition. I turned the console on and was able to get to the "Select Game" screen, but couldn't get past it. I tried different carts and it seemed that pressing a number to choose the game did nothing. I figured something might be wrong with the keyboard, so I decided to buy another O2, but it seems to have the same issue. Has anybody had this problem before, and if so, is there any way to fix it? I really don't want to have to look for a third O2 and would like to fix these if possible.
  9. Hey everyone! I'm continuing my "I'm Broke Sale" and I'm putting up two Magnavox Odyssey 2 homebrews: AstroDodge Color Clash Both games come with the hard plastic cases (like the European releases) with an end label, plus manual and cart. $55 each or $110 for both. PM me if you're interested. Thanks for looking! Jose
  10. Odyssey 2 family, I am wondering and hoping someone has a few or a bunch of Videopac flip cases they are willing part with that is located in the US. I am currently trying to catch up on homebrews and want to knock a little bit off the cost of shipping from overseas which is where the majority of them will be coming from. Thanks for any help or advice.
  11. Hi everyone, High Score is partnering with Rafael Cardoso, the programmer of Odyssey 2/Videopac homebrew games High Water Patrol, Sea Rescue, and Piggyback Planet, to do a contest to promote his upcoming game: Wildlife. The contest starts today, and ends on February 15th at 11:59pm (U.S. Central time). The best score on High Water Patrol will win the #1 copy of Wildlife. The best score on Sea Rescue (Voice Edition) will win a Wildlife poster. Rules: 1. The winner's score must have passed the voting on highscore.com and hold the "Worldwide" trophy before the deadline. 2. The game(s) must be played using real hardware (no emulation). 3. Rafael Cardoso will award the prizes. Here is a screenshot of Wildlife: Please let me know if you have any questions.
  12. I don't usually mention my eBay auctions here, but I'm selling a rare piece for Odyssey 2 / Videopac collectors. It is the "Odyssey Organizer" acrylic stand that was sold through the Odyssey Adventure magazine. I just don't have the room to display it properly, so out it goes. Auction ends Sunday night. eBay Auction -- Item Number: 271496689348
  13. Hi everyone, I would like to share photos of my collection in this thread. Most of my collecting is for the Atari 2600, and my acquisitions are primarily focused on replacing the lower quality items I have with higher quality ones (boxes, replacing carts with poor labels, filling in missing manuals, etc). As I replace items in my collection, or upgrade them with higher quality duplicates, I will update the items shown in this thread. I also have an Odyssey 2 collection, and most of what you will see in this collection are things I have held onto since childhood. Many of my loose carts were stolen a few years ago, but I am the original owner of almost all of the boxes. My collecting has recently begun to branch out in acquiring titles by my favorite Atari 2600 publishers (Activision and Imagic) for other systems. My postings below will be organized primarily by publisher, and I will add new messages to the thread over time covering various publishers, as I can find the time.
  14. Greetings! I just acquired my first Odyssey 2 console this weekend while at the Retro Game Con in Syracuse. Unfortunately, my adventures with KC Munchkin are on hold while I figure out a video issue. When turned on the picture is black with or without a cartridge in it. I can hear the audio from the game when I press a number key so I know code is being executed and that the CPU is probably fine. I've reset both CPU and AV chips in their sockets a few times. I also re-flowed the socket pins. I also added a composite amp to remove the RF modulator from equation. I get audio through it but the video is still black through composite. The TV does see a composite video signal. Next I want to re-flow some more pins, check some continuity, signals (AV and Color chips), and maybe replace the electrolytic caps (the seem ok though). Before I do that I wanted to tap the knowledge base here. Does anyone have any recommendations on how I should go about debugging/fixing this? I do have an oscilloscope available. Composite amp schematics: http://solarfox.triluminary.net/hwh_o2avc_p2.php Odyssey 2 schematics I'm using: https://console5.com/wiki/Odyssey2 I found this thread, but it was a dead-end: http://atariage.com/forums/topic/170540-magnavox-odyssey-2-picture-problem/
  15. 2/5/2012 UPDATE: Sold items removed. No new additions, but check out my eBay auctions for items not listed here. Please check back often because I may add stuff without bumping. The new stuff will appear first under the separate headings, and photos of sold items will be taken down. Also, check the "Free with purchase" list at the end, as I'll be adding more and more stuff to it as I find things. This is a long post, so please keep scrolling down for Vectrex, 2600, 5200, 8-Bit, ST, Intellivision, Odyssey 2, PS1, PS2, and odds and ends. Right now, none of these items is on eBay, but some might end up there in a week or so, meaning that there's a small chance that it will be purchased before I can remove it from this list. My prices on AA are lower than my eBay prices for reasons of fees and goodwill. In most cases, shipping will be Parcel Post or Priority (Priority is sometimes cheaper because of the "Click 'n' Ship" online discount) from 54703 zip code, and I'll ship to only the lower 48 U.S. Some light stuff can go in a first class or media mail bubble mailer. (Once a parcel goes over 1 pound, shipping gets more expensive than a lot of people think, so check usps.com. A CIB game with packing in a mailing box can be 11-13 ounces by itself.) Sometimes a flat rate box is the cheapest way to go. Let's say a minimum order of $5. Thanks! *** INTELLIVISION HARDWARE ORIGINAL INTELLIVISION CONSOLE AND INTELLIVOICE (WITH BOX; BOX IS IN POOR SHAPE BUT WITH MATCHING SERIAL #). THIS UNIT HAS BEEN CLEANED AND TESTED. SOME CARTRIDGES (AND THE INTELLIVOICE) REQUIRE YOU TO INSERT THEM ALMOST--BUT NOT ALL--OF THE WAY TO GET TO THE OPENING SCREEN AND THEN EVERYTHING WORKS NORMALLY. GREAT "BANG FOR THE BUCK" SYSTEM. $20 SOLD ON EBAY GAMES Almost all come with the box, and almost all come with the manual and both overlays too. In some cases, the box is in what I'd call worse than acceptable shape (bleaching, missing bottom flap, smashed, some other malady). The other boxes range in shape from acceptable to very good. The well cover stays on just fine, but the hinges are broken, and there is a small chip in the lower right corner of the cover. A little dirty. I opened it up to see if there was an easy fix, and I turned all of the tabs of the RF shield without breaking any. However, I could not budge the RF shield and decided not to hurt myself or the mainboard. $10 SOLD WORKING 5200 CONTROLLER (FIRE BUTTONS AND S/P/R TESTED, KEYPAD NOT TESTED), $12 SOLD *** ODYSSEY 2 HARDWARE Odyssey 2 with original box (no styrofoam). "RENEWED" stamped on bottom. Two detachable black controllers, one working, one not. Modded for standard RF plug. There is a little RF interference when playing (small dots); may be because of the unshielded RCA cable I used to mod. Also comes with power supply, original RF cable (removed from unit), pack-in game, owner's manual, catalog, warranty card, receipt for service (!). Previous owner's name is taped onto the front and on the back of the cartridge. Fair condition overall, with some scrapes on the bottom and on one joystick that look like they were made with a soldering iron. Works fine, but may be best for the O2 completeist who wants the "RENEWED" unit with the uncommon black detachable joysticks. $20 SOLD Odyssey 2 with original box and styrofoam! Two attached black controllers, both working. Has stock standard RF plug. Includes switchbox (VHF prong connectors a little loose) and power supply. This unit is in excellent working and cosmetic condition (the power button is rotated a little bit). The box is in superb shape as well, although there are a few strips of Scotch tape where the box closes. Styrofoam is in great shape. No manual, but there is a registration card. Pack-in game box in great shape too. $40 SOLD GAMES All games CIB. Box condition ranges from fair (may have tape) to very good. SMITHEREENS!, $5 SOLD ON EBAY COMPUTER INTRO! I PICKED THIS UP IN A MIXED LOT OF 8-BIT STUFF. IT WORKS, BUT NO POWER SUPPLY IS INCLUDED. I HAVE THE BROKEN POWER SUPPLY IF YOU WANT IT. THE RF CABLE HAS A FEW BARE SPOTS WHERE THE COPPER IS SHOWING THROUGH. ALL OF THE KEYS SEEM TO WORK. I USED MY SALT CART TO TEST THE MEMORY, AND IT SAID 40K. WHEN I USED THE POKE OR PEEK COMMAND (CAN'T REMEMBER WHICH ONE), IT RETURNED 32K. I CLEANED UP THE CASE, BUT THE CARTRIDGE WELL HAS SOME TAPE RESIDUE (?), AND THERE'S STILL SOME DIRT AND DUST IN BETWEEN THE KEYS. $30 SOLD ATARI 800 (ORIGINAL) POWER SUPPLY, CO17945 (3 OF THESE), $3 EACH SOLD CX-85 NUMERIC KEYPAD (WORKS), $5 SOLD *** ATARI ST I don't have an ST to test this stuff on, but if they don't work for you, you'll get your money back.
