Atari announced that they had partnered with Antstream Arcade. https://atarivcs.medium.com/here-come-the-games-7f50f5a17b85 Linking with them for e-sports activities is an interesting idea, although for me, I'm too old-school for e-sports activity. https://gaminglyfe.com/atari-and-antstream-arcade-invite-fans-to-participate-in-a-week-long-online-asteroids-challenge/ This was demo'd months ago, but now there are lots of videos on YouTube. Other videos, found by a search for "Atari VCS Antstream Arcade" on YouTube. e.g. * I am not connected to the Atari company, Antstream, or any related developer.

To feed more games to the new VCS, Atari partnered with GameJolt. They wrote: "Game Jolt has a massive footprint in the indie gaming community, and their approach to helping new and small developers maximize their potential makes them an ideal partner for the Atari VCS." Here is the link to their full article. https://atarivcs.medium.com/the-new-atari-vcs-game-jolt-partnership-and-our-platforms-focus-on-independent-game-developers-17ddf271b4a2 Gamejolt has a really cool community, and lots and lots of games! This approach rocks! Their web-site is here. https://gamejolt.com/ Here's a nice introduction to it. It's an old video but the principles apply.

Some months back this announcement was made by Ultra, and it just seemed to drop into a hole, with nothing apparently happening so far. Also, it wasn't exactly clear what Ultra was, or what it might be useful for, but recently there has been more information, and it seems very interesting. Ultra have an amazing range of partners, of whom Atari is only one, but it's coming to the VCS. https://medium.com/ultra-io/atari-partners-with-ultra-to-add-games-communities-and-services-to-its-atari-vcs-home-f48d3c970cca From the announcement made last autumn... Ultra is creating an entertainment platform that enables gamers to play, discover, buy, trade, earn, stream, compete, and socialize with zero friction. Having already partnered with software and hardware giants such as Ubisoft and AMD, Ultra now teams up with Atari to make their platform accessible through the new Atari VCS “PC/console hybrid” games and entertainment system, which launches this fall. Atari, known globally for some of the most beloved video games in history, will likewise be part of the Ultra experience. Ultra users will have the ability to join an Atari dedicated community and play classic Atari games including Asteroids®, Centipede®, Missile Command®, Pong®, and RollerCoaster Tycoon®. Hot Property The eagerly-anticipated Atari VCS video computer system will launch later this year, and also be available to purchase on Ultra using UOS or Atari Tokens — giving crypto and gaming enthusiasts the perfect platform to purchase the new hardware. Atari is also exploring the use of Ultra’s technology including its NFT framework as a way to update many of its most-popular titles with new technologies. The Ultra platform will directly integrate within the Atari VCS, allowing users to purchase, download and play PC games from Ultra on the system, and give gamers instant access to a huge array of titles from triple-A games to lovingly-crafted indie gems.

From a press release today on globalnewswire Atari and Liquid Media have announced a partnership to bring Liquid's Slipstream video streaming service to the VCS. The snarky troll in me might retort with something like, "If bringing the 'Netflix of adventure outdoor films" to the VCS is the highlight of your transformative business strategy then maybe your strategy isn't as groundbreaking as you are positioning it. Cool enough I guess. Well, straight off, I don't have experience in crypto-gaming, but Chain Games yet, this looks interesting... The idea to have cross-platform items, from games, to swap and keep, seems a very nice thing though, and it seems that there are some very nice looking Linux games which would seem to be OK for AtariOS. The Chain web-site, with various videos - I just downloaded Super Crypto Cart (for Linux) https://chaingames.io/#sck Tonight I will try it on my VCS, but for now, only via PC-Mode of course. Atari and ChainGames made a partnership announcement back in October 2020. https://chaingames.io/atari-teams-up-with-chain-games-to-integrate-atari-token-into-chain-games-ecosystem/

This was a very interesting announcement earlier in 2020. I'd be very pleased to be able to ALSO play Android games on an AtariVCS, but only as an also. I like the idea to play AtariOS, Linux, Windows, ChromeOS, Android, and emulator games on new VCS! ? Integrating WonderOS into AtariOS should give it a big advantage for future games portability too. https://atarivcs.medium.com/atari-and-wonder-join-forces-on-cross-platform-gaming-2c0f6867d448
