  1. Rambling about PS1/PS2 bootdiscs, HDD backups, Cheat Devices etc ALSO some talk about Game Genie and some cool NES random codes I made 😜😎 This is me rambling on for 30 minutes incoherently about PlayStation boot discs, cheat devices etc.😎It was a totally unexpected spur of the moment video that I probably should not have made public, but I figure it also serves the purpose letting my YouTube subscribers know that I’m still alive.😜 I am sure much of the info is wrong or at least some details are off but I invite anyone who knows better to comment and add to the conversation, thanks. 🤘🍻 My Facebook Classic Gaming, Computing and MORE (includes modern posts and conversations as well https://www.facebook.com/groups/maximumrdclassic
  2. I am looking to purchase a PS2. One controller would be just fine. It would be nice if it comes with a memory card, but not totally necessary. Drop me a line. Thank you.
  3. Cyberball 2072 by Atari from 1989 on the Midway Arcade Classics 2 collection for PS2. I like how there are so many plays but just 1 action button, that's classic Atari but this was a later arcade game. Great music and gameplay in this one.
  4. 😎😍Well, that is just awesome, a while ago I read in a Silent Hill Facebook Group post someone asked about replaying Silent Hill 2, I have only played it originally on the PS2, someone mentioned to be sure to play the version that has the Maria sub scenario “Born From a Wish” and amazingly I never have! 😮 I loaded it up from the extended PS2 edition in PCSX2 emulator, looks and plays great, never thought I would be playing and experiencing anything Silent Hill 2 related that was new to me. LOVING THIS! The best part is in emulation I can far higher resolutions than the PS2 could ever run natively, works perfectly with my wireless Xbox 360 gamepad (like movement, drawing firing weapon, run, look etc were instantly configured!) and unlike some older PC ports of some PS2 games there is no issues with compatibility or requirements with newer versions of Windows.
  5. Although this is slated for a bigger upcoming project, I figured it would likely be useful in a stand-alone application as well. Since I have a new compact motherboard design that will require an internal mouse interface with the ability to easily switch between joystick ports, and if desired completely disappear (stealth mode), I began work on a new mouse interface chip for the A8. It could have just as easily been used in an Atari ST, or with a bit of code finagling also made to work in an Amiga. Initially I looked at some of the GPL PS/2 mouse-to-ST/Amiga offerings, thinking that I would simply add what code I needed. However once I dived in, I quickly decided this would not be a good way to go, and so began my journey to write mouse code from scratch in my favorite development application FlowCode. Anyway suffice it to say i am probably 85% done, with the last 15% dedicated to supporting mouse movement acceleration (very tricky stuff). So here's a look at how this new mouse chip will be implemented in my new project, along with of course a TK-II keyboard chip (this schematic shows part of the I/O section). Unlike the mouse support that existed on the early versions of TK-II firmware, and then was later abandoned, this one has true ST mouse emulation as its primary goal (plus some enhancements). Yes I know people would love to have a USB mouse instead (as well as a USB keyboard interface), but with all that I have going on I'm afraid this is the best that I can presently do. Especially considering the learning curve required to implement this in USB as well likely needing to switch over to a different processor family to really do it right (yet another learning curve to climb). Besides despite what the rumors would have you believe, there are plenty of NEW PS/2 mice and keyboards still available, as well as some that offer wireless support. And lets face it, PS/2 protocol is a hell of a lot easier to work with. Ohh and did I mention that I get lazy from time to time . Anyway I doubt if I'll be making any PCBs for stand-alone plug-in usage, but if someone is ambitious, I will be providing the PIC MCU Firmware (in JOY2PIC and Microchip file versions). Stay tuned for more info and eventually the firmware release. - Michael
  6. About a year ago when I got my FAT PS2 I thought adding a Hard Drive should at least be simple. Except I am just as confused as I was when I started this mess. Yes I seen the video on how to add one. Which is why I decided to buy a Free Mc Boot instead. I did get the right kind of hard drive, and managed to do what everyone said had to be done in Windows, making it active and etc. Plugged it in to the Network Card and I used the MISC tools in Free McBoot to format it. My question is what is next? I don't even know how to add games, or why can't the PS2 transfer games save to it. Really I need some friendly advice.

  8. I'm interested in picking up a PS2 console + all necessary hookups + memory card(s) + Dual Shock controller(s) if anyone here has one they're willing to part with. I would prefer the newer slim model. I'm not really sure exactly what a bundle like this would go for pricewise, so feel free to name a price if you're interested in offering one up! I'm thinking somewhere around $45 shipped.
  9. EDIT - I just increased the font size as I did not realize how tiny the font was yesterday when I copied and pasted the text from Notepad! Also, CIB obviously means Complete In Box, but for other abbreviations R = Rarity, C = Cart, I = Instructions, B = Box and O = Overlay. Post and questions or hold requests in this thread or PM me. I recently began organizing my game collection and taking inventory which resulted in realizing I had much more than I need. Several duplicate items were found which I have decided to list for sale. These will be listed here for a week and then off to eBay with those that do not sell. As prices are listed below, shipping will be actual shipping costs however I will reduce shipping costs by $1 for every $20 spent up to the total of all shipping costs. Ex: purchase $140 and shipping costs will be reduced by $7 up to but not more than free shipping. More may be added later, but these are definitely for sale. PM me with the items you want, first come first serve. Payment through PayPal. Atari 2600 Asteroids Sealed - R1 $7.00 Atari 2600 Asteroids Sealed - R1 $7.00 SOLD - Atari 2600 E.T. 11. Hey guys, I've got here a nice Colecovision system I was looking to unload. As well as some more atari stuff that I'll post later. I was kind of looking to trade this stuff but i'm also taking offers since I don't have any price for this stuff in mind at the moment. The system works great and comes with all the hook ups necessary to play and 10 games which nearly all of them have amazing labels extremely glossy and in mint condition. (Except for Defender and Q-bert there not as nice!) See the pictures for the game titles! Take a look at the pictures down below here for a better look at what you would be getting. I've kind of been on the prowl lately for some PS2,Gamecube, and Dreamcast games maybe even some original xbox games. I'll post a list of specific titles i'm looking for, for various consoles and then just pm with whatever you got. Anyways here some pictures of the stuff! The system itself: http://i1060.photobu...78/IMG_0394.jpg http://i1060.photobu...78/IMG_0395.jpg http://i1060.photobu...78/IMG_0397.jpg The games! Labels are so glossy! http://i1060.photobu...78/IMG_0399.jpg http://i1060.photobu...78/IMG_0400.jpg http://i1060.photobu...78/IMG_0401.jpg http://i1060.photobu...78/IMG_0402.jpg http://i1060.photobu...78/IMG_0403.jpg That should be everything for now also will be posting some boxed 2600 games. I'm mainly looking for Gamecube,Dreamcast PS2 and Xbox games but i'm open to many other games from other systems! Check out my post on Nintendo Age theres a list of games I want there but again i'm open to more then what I have on my want list! Nintendo Age link: http://nintendoage.c...&threadid=63316

  15. I have a lot of games I'm trying to get rid of so I wanted to offer them here before they end up at the game store. I may entertain cash offers but mostly looking for trades at the moment. Maybe closer to the end of the week for cash. I have my wishlist along with the other stuff in the attached link. Feel free to offer any items that aren't specifically on my wishlist, especially NES/Famicom, SNES, and PS1 games and/or accessories. Action/platformers, puzzle, and horror games are good for me. Send me a PM with any offers, and please get your offers in by Friday around 12:00 noon EST. 19. Good afternoon all, I have just picked up an old Phat PS2 PAL model. I am getting disc read errors on PS2 games, PS1 games and audio discs. I did briefly manage to get a PS2 game to load, but it eventually locked up on the title screen when left alone. I know the discs are all fine because I play them on another console that I have. I was just wondering what could be the cause of this and if its not too expensive I may attempt to repair/replace myself. Many thanks for your help!
