  1. So I'll be buying an upright, full-size Super Pac-Man machine locally (within minutes of where I live, thank goodness), and need some tips on transporting it. I plan on using a minivan (specifically a late-model Kia Sedona with stow-and-go seats), but am incredibly skeptical about the machine's safety, particularly with the load / unload process. I've seen posts of folks saying it's okay to transport the machine on its back, but no posts explaining a how-to porcess to get the machine in and out of the van without dropping one end. So I have a small list of questions I've compiled: *Should I wrap it up before transporting it? And if so, with what? The van's floor is carpeted. *Will it be easy to get in and out of the van? It's a standard minivan, but my concern is loading it in at an angle, since the top end will have to go in first, so I wonder how easy it will be to put it in and out of the trunk. I'm assuming the heaviest part is the monitor. *Will a standard dolly work, or do I have to get something specific? I live on the ground floor, so I'll just roll it through my sliding glass door. *The carpet of my apartment is pretty plush. Out it be worth getting plastic sliders to stick on the bottom of the cabinet, in case I want to swap out boards and need to move it away fro the wall? Will this depreciate its value? Any and all suggestions I'd love to hear. Thank you!
  2. On Tuesday I plan to mail @Allan the following unarchived (or needs-better-archiving-quality) Atari items. The shipping can get quite expensive and the funds come directly from the pockets of Allan and myself. I have a hope that some people can donate funds to me via PayPal to contribute to this on-going Atari archiving project. As of right now, I'm not sure how much shipping will cost. I'll give a sum total after the items have been shipped. I have been exchanging many, many pictures with Allan over the last year or so. He goes through the pictures and chooses what needs to be archived, or what needs to be archived in a better format. Occasionally, I send him large batches of items and he scans them and uploads them to archive.org. This can get quite expensive, as he and I send the items back and forth. If you feel like making a donation to me, then send me a personal message and I will send you my PayPal account. I will have @Allan chime in on this thread so that you know this is legitimate. Here are pictures of everything that I'll be sending to Allan this coming week. Thanks for considering making a donation-- the Atari community rocks! Adam
  3. Dear ABBUC members in Chile, I just got the magazines back with a note, that shipping is currently not possible. I am very sorry about that and will watch the German postal service informations ( https://www.deutschepost.de/de/c/coronavirus.html#international ) to see, when it changes and then resend the magazines. Please go to the ABBUC website to download at least the digital version of the magazine (.ATR) and the papermag (.PDF). The same page says, that shipping to the US is generally possible, but restrictions might apply. Can anyone from the US please give me feeback, if the magazine arrived? Apologies, Sascha
