I have posted this to Facebook but not on here yet. Also, it is quite coincidental that this all happened just before the 2600's anniversary too! After months of hard work I was finally able to finish restoring this MAJOR addition to my collection, and just in the knick of time for VCFMW. I present: my EXTREMELY rare Atari 2600 "P.O.P" kiosk! Originally, this kiosk came from an abandoned house's basement, where it sat for 40 years, 100% complete, but sadly not untouched as the basement had flooded and caused various issues to the kiosk. The two major issues being wood rot and rust/corrosion on the electronics. I'm still restoring the original Zenith TV and POP "brain" motherboard, but I have finished restoring the rest of the kiosk including replacing all the wood, trim, doors, locks, supports, screws, etc, and figured out how it all goes together without any guides. I tried to reuse as many original parts as I possibly could. Also, the 2600 kiosk is already a rare kiosk, but I said that this one is extremely rare- which is because it is the rarest variant. Those with a keen eye will have noticed that this kiosk is able to split in half! From what I was able to find, this is seemingly one of ONLY TWO "countertop" variants to exist, where the top half could be removed from the bottom cabinet in order to fit the display on a store counter if you pleased, as well as it is much easier to disassemble and transport. Note that there are many other changes from the "normal" 2600 kiosk, such as all the shelving, the top plexiglass doors, and the missing atari logo on the left side of the top "Atari Video Games" marquee, to name a few. Another interesting thing is that this kiosk included what seems to currently be the only (?) existing "dummy" 2600 console! (See my other posts) It has taken a lot out of me to get this kiosk finished in time for the show, but I couldn't be happier with the final results! Everyone loved seeing and playing on the kiosk, and many reminisced about seeing it in stores like Sears, K-Mart, and ToysRUs back in the day! Couldn't be happier to have my kiosk enjoyed by so many people, and at the end of Saturday after everyone else played on it; I then got to enjoy my 2600 kiosk myself a bit for the first time, haha. Also, if anyone has a spare 2600 kiosk motherboard they'd be willing to sell, please let me know! Huge shout-out to Ed Hathaway for agreeing to sell me this beast. As you can tell I have kept my word and will cherish it forever! Also, I finally got one more display which I've been searching for years for, being the Atari Banner! You can see it hanging behind me and I am so glad! It is made of a cloth material, dates 1982, and I even got it with original poles and the original shipping tube! As a final note, if anyone from Atari directly is reading this, let me know if you'd be interested to possibly do an official collaboration with me and remake this kiosk or a slightly smaller/updated version of it for the 2600+. Just a thought, might be fun and I'd love to personally build/design it, especially since it's also the 2600's anniversary too! Lmk! Thank you all for viewing! PXL_20230909_165201364.mp4

Hi all, I just listed my original, vintage, New Old Stock (never set-up or used) ATARI Phoenix Mobile store display on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Atari-PHOENIX-Store-Display-Mobile-NEW-Sealed-Original-RARE-Vintage-NOS/193902899445?hash=item2d258370f5:g:x3IAAOSwXQJgL62- Shipping to most countries available (North America, UK, New Zealand, etc) but please check auction listing or just ask me here if you reside anywhere else but are interested. I was hoping to have a dedicated Atari games room set up but unfortunately it did not eventuate due to space constraints. As such, I'm just now starting to let go of not just my Atari games and systems (large Lynx collection going up shortly with lots or rarities), but many Atari collectibles and memorabilia that I am starting to list as well. Good luck to anyone who is going to bid - I truly hope Phoenix gets to rise up in a good new home

Kiosk Multiplexer The electronic brains behind the large kiosk displays used in stores to sell Mattel Electronics’s Intellivision games and consoles. This deep-dive video covers a lot of material. This video is the culmination over almost 1 year of research including dumping and disassembling the ROM code as well as working out the schematic. I briefly posted about these earlier, but a while ago I picked up laminated Intellivision game instructions. These are likely from an in-store display, possibly a playable station. Below are 4 teaser photos just to show what they overall look like and show the order that they arrived in (might be the original order or maybe someone re-ordered them). Yes, there might be 1 instruction card missing that went between Football and Chess, this is not definite. There will be a follow-up post today with each side digitally scanned so everyone can get a good close look at these. The posted ones will be at 150 dpi, but I can make 600 dpi copies available for individuals who want them (a 130MB download). If you take a close look at overlays, you will see that they are re-drawn versions of the original overlays we know and love. This likely optimized them for black-and-white printing. Interestingly, the Astrosmash overlay appears to what it would have looked like if the Meteor game had been fully included as original planned. Has any other image of the Astrosmash + Meteor overlay been uncovered before? A minor difference also spotted is that the Utopia overlay building image over the "2" button is missing its windows (viewable in the upcoming digital scans). I have not fully read or analyzed these yet. There likely are more differences so feel free to point them out (once I post all the detailed scans).

Not Mine. For Auction The seller indicated they will also work with people to deliver internationally. But it won't be cheap or low cost. A heavy wooden crate would be required. The Bandai Demonstration machine setup itself already weighs about 35 Kgs (77 Lbs) without the crate. Count on at least double that weight in a crate. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage-RARE-Japanese-BANDAI-VECTREX-DEMONSTRATION-MACHINE-Video-Console-Game-/291971474713 "Vintage RARE Japanese BANDAI VECTREX DEMONSTRATION MACHINE Video Console Game" "RARE Vintage Japanese BANDAI VECTREX DEMONSTRATION MACHINE Video Console. I thought i'd post some pics of the Atari Lynx themed night i organized at this months @RetroTuesday club meet-up as i know people appreciate ComLynxing. Got a few Melbourne Lynx collectors together for some ComLynx action as well as introducing McWill's fantastic LCD and VGA mod to fellow Lynx lovers The biggest surprise of the night is just how SUPERB the Lynx graphics look up on a projector! Everyone was blown away! The pics really don't do it any justice. This served great for Single Player BMX High Score challenges on the big screen As always, full 6-player Checkered Flag and 8-Player Slime World's were the favourite of the night. Here's a bit of a write up on each pic (hope this works with same alignment as posting...) Pic 1 - Lynx Display: I set-up my Lynx hardware and accessories for show & tell. As a side note, after a decade + of owning both CIB Atari Lynx Battery Packs (behind the Lynx Display Unit), i notice they are different language variants Pic 2 - Lynx tub: I brought with me my Lynx library, though most were untouched as everyone wanted to ComLynx. Pic 3 - ComLynx sets: i never take my Lynx's anywhere without packing these essential ComLynx sets I'm just lucky to have picked all these up when they were being sold at ridiculously low prices! Pic 4 - Lynx screens VS: a comparison pic of Checkered Flag running on a classic Lynx II screen (on the Left) vs McWill's LCD modded Lynx II (on the Right). Pictures SERIOUSLY DO NOT DO THIS JUSTICE! Pic 5 - Lynx VGA: taking turns at California Games BMX on the projector. The picture quality was better than anyone could have hoped for! Pic 6 - Slime World: a close up of McWill's LCD screen modded Lynx II. Isn't she beautiful?!... Pic 7 - 8P Slime World: Love, love, love this game in full 8 player ComLynx mode! Unfortunately, one guy keeps winning every time we link-up (and he doesn't even own the game ). We also tried out the Competitive mode (3?) for the first time and i was waaaay in the lead... until someone's power adapter cord came out and it froze the network Pic 8 - Lynx 6P Checkered Flag: I claimed 1st spot again in 6P mode (no drones). This is the ONLY car racing game that i am any good at - retro or current systems! I just love the simplicity of it: Left, Right, go, stop. It doesn't need to get any more complicated than that! Pic 9 - BMX Bandit: This is, without a doubt, the best i have ever gone in the BMX challenge on California Games! While the High Score of 415 may not be the highest ever, i don't think i've ever seen so many seconds left in the bag (over half a minute) after crossing the finish line! Does anyone have their scores and (especially) time left recorded for comparisons sake? I'm really curious as to how the hell i got that - especially considering i had 3 other players trying to crash into me from the start That's it. Hope you enjoyed seeing them. If anyone has pics to share of any of their ComLynx events/party's i would love to check them out!
