  3. Well I copied a tangential comment and made it its own topic. I'll try to remove comment from original site. I noticed that light gun games are less accurate because they no longer use the screen as a reference they just use a line, the fact it's placed in the middle of the screen, and whether it's placed above the top or below the bottom of the screen, and that's all the wiimote like gun knows. they should have put the four sensors on the four corners of the screen so it could send three dimensions where the physical screen is. I notice a difference playing on a large 40in screen and a small 12in screen, with the 40 inch screed forcing you to "underaim" and a 12 inch screen forcing you to "overaim", meaning if you are perfectly in the center and a Target is 25% of the screen to the left of you under aiming is having to aim at like 10% left the center and overaiming needs you have to aim off-screen to hit your target. Don't like gun on the Wii feels more like a positional gun. If there was no crosshairs you cannot line it up very well. However true like guns that use CRT TVs have true aim you can hit those four more different positions that a wiimote gun. By the way has anyone tried Xbox Kinect gun aiming or PlayStation Move aiming? There was just one game Blue Estate, just wanted to know how the Amy was cuz I haven't had a chance to hook up a Kinect yet. Is it more true to a CRT aim or more true to a Wiimote aim?
  4. Anyone interested in Wii games? Accepting cash offers via PM. Looking to trade for a Clean working C64 system, clean working Vic-20 system w/ power supply, Vic-20 multicart, and 2600 controllers (PM me and I’ll send you that list) -Kevin
  5. Maybe someone has asked this before, but I was wondering if any of you is keeping track of the games that are becoming more expensive/hard to get during the quarantine due to their high demand. I read that Wii Sports is almost impossible to get in some places, then I looked up Wii Sports Resort (which I don't own sadly) and it seems like that game is also more expensive than it used to be. I assume that Ring Fit Adventure is extremely expensive and maybe Wii Fit will finally be collectible?? I finally started playing the Xbox One version of Rocksmith 2014 again and when I tried to get a copy of Rocksmith for the Xbox 360 so that I can import all those songs, I realized that that game is really hard to get CIB (at least where I live). Any other games that are either expensive or more collectible now that everyone is forced to stay inside? Thanks in advance and stay safe!
  6. This week I got to point and click adventure games for Wii: Titanic and Secret Files: Tunguska. I love them! They remind me so much of the old LucasArts and Sierra games for DOS I used to play. I would very much like to buy more games like this for the Wii. I googled but didn't really find anything for the Wii, just a lot of hits for PC games. Does anyone out there know of any good point and click adventure games for the Wii? Let's get a big list of games going! ✌️ Edit: Keeping a list of PnC Adventure games for the Wii: I'm choosing not to add any wiiware games to this list because wiiware games can no longer be purchased. Titanic Secret Files: Tunguska Back to the Future Sam and Max Season 1 Sam and Max beyond Time and Space Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure Mystery Case Files: The Malgrave Incident Scooby Doo First Frights Guilty Party CSI: Hard Evidence CSI: Fatal Conspiracy CSI: Deadly Intent NCIS Captain Morgane and the Golden Turtle A New Beginning Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis Secret Files 3: The Archimedes Code Alter Ego Puzzle Agent Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Edit2: I picked up a Wii U thinking it might be a "better Wii" with HDMI. I googled and found 3 P&C games for the Wii U. (I haven't played these yet) Armikrog The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 The Song of Seven

  8. I just filed my taxes, and anticipate getting a Wii U with my refund. I do not have internet at my house. I do have a friend with a stable wifi, but he has two toddlers who are very curious! So what happens if I just try to run the console right out of the box without an update? Thanks.

  11. Today I just want to ask what everyone's favorite game of 2015 was. It can be a next gen console game, Steam game, homebrew title, or anything else you can think of. My favorite was Undertale (on Steam). It's a retro styled RPG that does it all: it's original, difficult but not too hard, has amazing replay value, hilarious, has a deep story, amazing music (you telling me you haven't seen the million hopes and dreams remixes on youtube), and best of all is only $10! Rant away!
  12. First let me apologize. I wasn't sure which forum would be the best fit for this. I am researching how to pair my Wii remotes with my PC specifically for use with emulators. I'm shopping for a Bluetooth adapter, and have found information about using software called "GlovePie" to configure the classic controller. Before I do any of that, I wanted to check in to see if anyone here is using a Wii remote/classic controller with their emulators. If you are, I'd like to know what software you are using and what version of Bluetooth your adapter is. Thanks!

  15. Up for sale is a similar kit like I have been selling for the xbox1 but for the Wii, you get the Super Smash Brothers Game Disc, a great game by itself, TWO SD cards, one is a 1GB or 2GB card with the smash stack exploit, you also get an 8GB SD card with the Home Brew Chanel w/ Apps & Emulators and Roms. I will also assit you with the soft-mod and install process as it can be tricky. I found the youtube video for it that is currently up to be very UNhelpful on a key step in the process. cost for this kit is $35+shipping. [$45 if you want a 16GB SD card with even more roms and emus added] it will be in stock next week. I will post more details in this thread soon, I just wanted folks to be aware it was coming, the cost for JUST the Wii game on ebay these days is around $20-$25 shipped on average, you get the full package all set up for you, no searching, no bull. This will work on ANY Wii as Nintendo can not patch for this exploit, it is the best one for any Wii, in fact the instructions I give are to update your Wii before you do anything else. I will walk you through how to perform the soft-mod, install Boot-Mii, then HBC in that order so you can recover from a brick if it should happen. some Wiis will not let you install BootMii first, but all that will be covered in the tutorial I am putting together [you will either get SD or a MicroSD cards with adaptor, all depends on stock on hand] I will discount orders for those who supply their own SD cards, you need a small one to do the exploit with and the larger to use once HBC is installed. If you already have the game Super Smash Brothers for Wii, I can point you in the right direction to do it yourself or you can buy just the SD cards at a reduced rate. stay tuned for updates on this next week
  16. I've decided to sell a few things of mine in hopes that I can get some other items for my collection. I could take them to eBay but after the fees and the hassle it almost doesn't seem worth it. And also note that all prices include shipping, and are negotiable, espeically if you buy multiple things. Anyway, here is what I'm selling. Sparkster SNES: Cart only unfortunately but its in great shape. I've had many hours of fun on this game. Asking $35 shipped for this. Metroid Prime Trilogy Wii: This comes complete. Has everything, tin case, slipcover, manual and black fold out insert. Oh, and of course the disc. The disc is nice, the manual shows little wear, the black fold out insert has a small tear because of a sticker that was on it, the case has 2 small dents as well. One on the top, and a rather small one on the front in the top right. They aren't extremely noticeable by any means but they are there. Also the top clip on the case doesn't close. The bottom one does, but the top does not. The slip cover is pretty good as well. Has some slight wear from just being used. I'm asking $65 shipped on this one. Windwaker Box: Basically mint. Has a gamestop sticker on the front of it but it is on the plastic and not the insert so it will come off very easily. No manual with this one unfortunately. But like I said its in great shape. Asking $20 shipped. Ocarina of Time/Master Quest Box and Manual: Both in very nice condition. Has the manual and the case both and like I said, in very nice condition. Asking $18 shipped on this. Super Mario Sunshine Box and Manual: The box is in nice shape and so is the manual. But, the manual has the name "Adam" printed on it. Somebody tried taking it off and has ripped part of the manual under the label. For the most part it can probably be salvaged, but it does have that flaw. Asking $15 shipped. So that is everything, like I said the prices include shipping and are negotiable, especially if you buy more than one item. I have done a few deals here on AtariAge before. Check with IntellivisionDude, Kefka14, boxpressed, and so on. Also you can check my eBay account for 100% positive feedback there as well, the name is dvskingcobra460. So thanks if you are interested in anything, please message me! -------------------------

  18. As I realize I have less and less space to house stuff i'm really keeping the best titles and moving more towards SD carts. I also may have to slim down a few systems but may want to play those games still and explore other retro systems I probably won't find in the wild. I have more or less narrowed down my choices to the original Xbox and Wii to use as an emulator box; and I was wondering which you all thought would be better to use as an emulation machine. Here is my reasoning for avoiding other options: -PC/Raspberry Pi: Probably better I realize but I want to use a console for convenience and aesthetics. -Gamecube/PS2-Could be done but seems to make more sense to do an xbox or a wii for various reasons -Dreamcast- Underpowered for emulation purposes of later systems -Xbox360/PS3- Have a PS3 fatty but don't want to void warranty/updates, online features, etc. just yet. I am at this time leaning towards the Xbox because of the MAME capabilities and the fact that the internal hard-drive can be upgraded whereas using a Wii i'd have to burn discs or have an external hard drive connected via a USB (the speed worries me for that option.) I know you can do the home brew channel on the Wii mode on your Wii U, but assume you couldn't access the external hard drive formatted for the Wii U via that channel, creating its own issues. Can anyone speak to that and/or if you are able to partition it? Let me know what you think and if I missed any consoles/options I should be considering! I definitely want to use a CONSOLE though. Thanks!
  19. should i rely on the wiishop channel for nintendo and sega games or should i hold on to the master system and nes? will we always have the wii store to buy games? i perfer actual cartridges/discs so i know i have the game. this question is the reason i dont play games on pc

  24. Hey all! I'm clearing out years of stockpiled E3 swag, promotional items, one offs and various weirdness! The link below goes to my eBay page. I've been trying to sell on there for a few weeks and some of the bigger named items have gone, but I think your average eBay user knows very little about gaming, especially gaming memorabilia. I want this stuff to go to people that'll appreciate it! I know some of the people buying have just been resellers and that's lame. Hope you guys can find stuff you're interested in! I'm putting up new stuff every weekend when I have free time, so there's more to come! http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/711-53200-19255-0/1?ff3=4&pub=5574883395&toolid=10001&campid=5336500554&customid=&mpre=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fproducerethan%2Fm.html%3F_nkw%3D%26_armrs%3D1%26_ipg%3D%26_from%3D
