  1. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/new-tvii-feature-allows-users-to-doodle-over-live-tv/1100-6414102/ I've been waiting for new developments on the TVii front for months. Ever since I've started looking into the WiiU, I thought TVii had the greatest potential out of all its features, in terms of making the console more than just a standard Wii with a dorky controller. And this, THIS is the news I hear. Yeah, so if you've ever dreamed of being John Madden, this is the feature for you! Now you can doodle all over what's on TV to your heart's content. Lessons in talking loudly and stating the obvious are sold separately. So many things Nintendo could do to make this feature awesome... add DVR support, add IR support for AVRs, increase interaction with cable boxes. But no, screw that, they knew doodle action was going to be the thing. I'd been saying that this was a fantastic feature, and it would be just like Nintendo to under-support it until it dies on the vine. Dammit, Nintendo, why do you have to prove me right in such a spectacular fashion?
  2. Copy of Super Mario Bros. Video Game Sets World-Record Price of $100,150 I don't usually pay attention to the world of extreme collecting...but this is quite something. 100K, eh. Plus, the whole super duper seriousness of "a 'Seal Rating' of A++." is rather surreally entertaining. I wonder what's the difference between grade A++ and A+? As an added bonus they also chime in on one of this hobby's trademark disputes saying that this game "saved the video game industry in 1985". Ok Deniz, if you say so
  3. Hi Everyone! This is my first post to this site, even though I've visited in the past. Thanks for all you do for the gaming community and the valuable information you all provide! I'm here because I recently found an interesting trio of items, and I'm hoping to learn more if anyone knows more. These are Atari employee pay stubs from '82-'83, which include a regular pay stub, severance package stub and a "sick bonus" stub which I'm assuming was a PTO payout of some kind. These are interesting enough on their own, but what makes them even more unusual is the fact that they came from right around the time of the crash. Even more unusual is that the "severance" stub was from '82 and the others from '83, possibly meaning that this employee was terminated in '82 and brought back to work in '83 only to be met again with termination most likely due to the crash. That's about as much as I know about these, hence my reason for starting this post. I can't find any information on the employee (name is in the photo). I don't know anything on the timeline of this person's employment besides the tale the stubs tell. Did/Do any of you possibly know her, or recognize these? Any information you all may know would be appreciated. I'd love to know more about this person's story if it's out there. Thanks in advance! OldStuffJunkie
  4. All, I'm trying to write some simple (I would have thought) code to pause for a little while using the real time clock. Here it is: .proc pause LDA #0 STA 20 ;CLOCK_C LDA #200 WAIT_A_BIT: CMP 20 ;CLOCK_C BCC WAIT_A_BIT RTS .endp So I am setting the jiffy count to 0 and then waiting until 200 jiffies have passed. What I don't understand is that the code runs through immediately, but I would have thought that it would have required about 4 seconds on a PAL system. What am I doing wrong? Probably something simple. Is it my use of BCC?
